Book excerpt: A choice lies before you: Either waste your life or live with risk. Either sit on the sidelines or get in the game. After all, life was no cakewalk for Jesus, and he didn't promise it would be any easier for his followers. We shouldn't be surprised by resistance and persecution. Yet most of us play it safe. We pursue comfort. We spend ourselves to get more stuff. And we prefer to be entertained. We are all tempted by the idea of security, the possibility of a cozy Christianity with no hell at the end. But what kind of life is that really? It's a far cry from adventurous and abundant, from truly rich and really full, and it's certainly not the heights and the depths Jesus calls us to. Discover in these pages a foundation for fearlessness. Hear God's promise to go with you into the unknown. And let Risk Is Right help you see the joys of a faith-filled and seriously rewarding life of Jesus-dependent abandon! Risk Is Right is a significantly expanded version of a chapter previously published in the book Don't Waste Your Life (chapter 5).

Book excerpt: What if you looked out your window and saw Jesus going through your trash can? Would that surprise you? The greatest illusion of our time comes in the form of waste. From landfills, to micro-trash, to invisible emissions, to imperceivable pollutants, to the factories and shores we never see... it's all hidden away from our sight. However, the harmful effects of this global wastefulness reaches far and wide. It's touching the lives of everyone you love, every place you've been, and every single thing you can imagine. So, what if God is actually very interested in your waste? What if your faith requires a greater awareness about the things you eat, buy, and throw away? Could it be that your salvation is tied to all of God's creation and that you have the opportunity to join God's work of restoration? While addressing the environmental challenges of our time, Garbage Theology seeks to connect our Biblical call to keep and serve creation with how we live our lives today. Through personal stories extracted from years of working in the trash and recycling industry while pastoring a local church, author Caleb Cray Haynes introduces and examines a theology of waste through the lens of Scripture and our story as the people of God in the context of our current global waste emergency.

Book excerpt: The visionary behind the million-strong IF:Gathering challenges Christian women to discover what it means to do life with God rather than always striving to impress him, in this trade paperback edition of her perspective-shifting work, which now includes bonus material to enhance your book club experience, including discussion questions and easy-to-create recipes. All too many of us struggle under the weight of life, convinced we need to work harder to prove to ourselves, to others, and to God that we are good enough, smart enough, and spiritual enough to do the things we believe we should. Author and Bible teacher Jennie Allen invites us into a different experience, one in which our souls overflow with contentment and joy. In Nothing to Prove she calls us to… * Find freedom from self-induced pressure by admitting we’re not enough—but Jesus is. * Admit our greatest needs and watch them be filled by the only One who can meet them. * Make it our goal to know and love Jesus, then watch what He does in and through us. As you wade into the refreshing truth of the more-than-enough life Jesus offers, you’ll experience the joyous freedom that comes to those who are determined to discover what God can do through a soul completely in love with Him. * * * * * “These pages are what your soul is begging for" —Ann Voskamp “Nothing to Prove takes us on a journey toward freedom from the need to measure up.” —Mark Batterson We love this glorious and universally resounding message.” —Louie and Shelley Giglio “This book will help you take your eyes off your problems and put them back on God’s promises.” —Christine Caine

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: God has prepared a kingdom (John 14:1-3) through Jesus Christ our Lord. The kingdom is free and available to all willing to be a child of God (Romans 8:14) Inheriting the kingdom of God does not take place by desire. Nor can it be entered into by force. Its not a place that you can see or touch or feel or search for on a map. It is not a place, it is a relationship. It is the relationship mankind has with their Creator God when they surrender their all to Him allowing Him to be the King of every aspect of their lives. Thus they become the children of God. Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. The one who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous. The one who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devils work. No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because Gods seed remains in them; they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of God. This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not Gods child, nor is anyone who does not love their brother and sister. (1 John 3: 7-10) The kingdom or inheritance of God is entered into by the righteous. Its entered into by those who recognize they are lost sinners who have been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb (Revelation 5:9; 12:11). Its inherited by those who surrender their will to God allowing Him to mold them into what He wants them to be, as the potter molds (Isaiah 64:8) the clay in making a useful vessel.

Book excerpt: SPIRITUAL FULFILLMENT BIBLICAL STUDIES Enlightenment: Lessons For Higher Awareness This book of lessons for enlightenment is intended to serve as a light dispersing the darkness of ignorance in the mind of its readers, heightening your awareness, and broadening your views with the illuminating light of Christ, the Infinite One, as the source of supply. The first five lessons of this book were taken from the parables of Jesus and will tell of the provisions of God’s Covenant. It will tell how Jesus, not only redeemed man, but also gave him a preservative to keep him safe from ruin. The seven lessons that follow are of challenges that tell how men and women who are chosen by God to serve stand against the odds. The last ten are lessons of personal commitments to life. As in any field of employment in life, it calls for commitment and responsibility. So it is in the spiritual realm of duty. To know God means, one must also demonstrate the same. After awareness, one must then beware. This book is definitely lessons for higher awareness! Delorise Flowers

How to Live in the Kingdom of God addresses the questions of what, where, when and even why with regards to the Kingdom of God. Believers today, as they enter the millennium, hunger for the deeper understandings about the Kingdom that this book offers. The Scriptures declare the Kingdom of God is a present reality in which we can partake. Readers of this book will learn the three levels of Christian maturity, how they relate to the three feasts and how to apply them to their daily Christian walk.

Book excerpt: Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen (Matthew 28:1920). Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me (Isaiah 6:8). How do you know God has called you into the ministry? How can you really tell in which area of the ministry he wants you to serve? For many, these can be frustrating and confusing questions. In Answering and Understanding the CALL of God for Your Life, author Chinyere Nwakwue provides guidance in responding to Gods call for your life and your lifes ministry. Blending her personal experiences with a plethora of scriptural examples, Nwakwue walks you through the process and shows how this calling is a privilege God has given you. In her study, she considers the factors involved in Gods calling; the reasons that some people struggle with the call of God; the Bible characters who struggled with answering Gods call; the reasons that God called you; the enemies of Christian life who will try to interrupt Gods call; and ways to overcome the enemies. Nwakwue communicates that your response to the call of God has significant effects in your life as you run your Christian race. Christ Jesus has called and commanded every individual to preach the gospel to all creatures. Are you ready?
