El tercer apartado da cuenta del emplazamiento bajo dos miradas: la primera presenta la relación entre composición y emplazamiento como proceso de creación y re-creación a partir de la transformación, y la segunda presenta la tensión existente entre la determinación formal y las cuestiones tipológicas. El libro concluye con una aproximación experimental, en la cual se recogen ejemplos de la aplicación, en el aula, de los instrumentos didácticos considerados en la aproximación teórica.
