Book Synopsis Hyperbolic Functional Differential Inequalities and Applications by : Z. Kamont
Download or read book Hyperbolic Functional Differential Inequalities and Applications written by Z. Kamont and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 318 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is intended as a self-contained exposition of hyperbolic functional dif ferential inequalities and their applications. Its aim is to give a systematic and unified presentation of recent developments of the following problems: (i) functional differential inequalities generated by initial and mixed problems, (ii) existence theory of local and global solutions, (iii) functional integral equations generated by hyperbolic equations, (iv) numerical method of lines for hyperbolic problems, (v) difference methods for initial and initial-boundary value problems. Beside classical solutions, the following classes of weak solutions are treated: Ca ratheodory solutions for quasilinear equations, entropy solutions and viscosity so lutions for nonlinear problems and solutions in the Friedrichs sense for almost linear equations. The theory of difference and differential difference equations ge nerated by original problems is discussed and its applications to the constructions of numerical methods for functional differential problems are presented. The monograph is intended for different groups of scientists. Pure mathemati cians and graduate students will find an advanced theory of functional differential problems. Applied mathematicians and research engineers will find numerical al gorithms for many hyperbolic problems. The classical theory of partial differential inequalities has been described exten sively in the monographs [138, 140, 195, 225). As is well known, they found applica tions in differential problems. The basic examples of such questions are: estimates of solutions of partial equations, estimates of the domain of the existence of solu tions, criteria of uniqueness and estimates of the error of approximate solutions.

Book Synopsis Attractors, Shadowing, And Approximation Of Abstract Semilinear Differential Equations by : Sergey I Piskarev
Download or read book Attractors, Shadowing, And Approximation Of Abstract Semilinear Differential Equations written by Sergey I Piskarev and published by World Scientific. This book was released on 2023-07-05 with total page 213 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The book is devoted to some branches of the theory of approximation of abstract differential equations, namely, approximation of attractors in the case of hyperbolic equilibrium points, shadowing, and approximation of time-fractional semilinear problems. In this book, the most famous methods of several urgent branches of the theory of abstract differential equations scattered in numerous journal publications are systematized and collected together, which makes it convenient for the initial study of the subject and also for its use as a reference book. The presentation of the material is closed and accompanied by examples; this makes it easier to understand the material and helps beginners to quickly enter into the circle of ideas discussed. The book can be useful for specialists in partial differential equations, functional analysis, theory of approximation of differential equations, and for all researchers, students, and postgraduates who apply these branches of mathematics in their work.
Book Synopsis Integral and Discrete Inequalities and Their Applications by : Yuming Qin
Download or read book Integral and Discrete Inequalities and Their Applications written by Yuming Qin and published by Birkhäuser. This book was released on 2016-10-06 with total page 1083 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book concentrates on one- and multi-dimensional nonlinear integral and discrete Gronwall-Bellman type inequalities. It complements the author’s book on linear inequalities and serves as an essential tool for researchers interested in differential (ODE and PDE), difference, and integral equations. The present volume is part 2 of the author’s two-volume work on inequalities. Integral and discrete inequalities are a very important tool in classical analysis and play a crucial role in establishing the well-posedness of the related equations, i.e., differential, difference and integral equations.
