Book excerpt: Nous présentons, dans ce travail, une approche basée sur les réseaux de Petri temporisés (déterministes) pour la modélisation et l'analyse des systèmes de production discrets. L'étude porte d'une part sur les job-shops (ateliers flexibles), d'autre part sur les systèmes d'assemblage multi-niveaux. Le processus de production fonctionne de manière cyclique (il s'agit de fabrications répétitives) avec un nombre limité d'en-cours et pour des ratios de productions fixés. A partir du modèle développé pour les job-shops, qui correspond à un graphe d'évènements temporisé, nous en déduisons les caractèristiques du régime permanent et en particulier les performances (productivité, utilisation des machines...) en fonction de l'état initial et de l'ordre de passage des pièces sur les machines (séquences d'entrée). Nous examinons ensuite comment optimiser les performances en saturant la machine la plus chargée avec un minumum d'en-cours. Cet aspect est particulièrement important dans le cas des ateliers flexibles car cela revient à maximiser la productivité avec le minimum de ressources de transport. Nous montrons que cette condition est toujours réalisable pour un job-shop (quelles que soient les séquences d'entrée dans les machines) et nous proposons des algorithmes heuristiques de recherche d'un ordonnancement optimal. Dans le cas d'un système d'assemblage multi-niveaux, le modèle s'appuie sur les réseaux de Petri généralisés. L'étude des propriétés de fonctionnement périodique de ces réseaux permet de calculer les performances maximales du système de production en fonction du niveau des en-cours (qui représentent dans ce cas les matières premières et les produits semi-finis). Nous abordons également le problème d'optimisation des performances en suivant une démarche similaire à celle des job-shops.
