Book excerpt: This book on the Apocalypse is not primarily a book of theology, but a book of practical considerations related to the end times, to the time of suffering for the Church and the world called the tribulation. The author discusses practical considerations that might be useful in order to live with a greater degree of safety and a better quality of life during the Apocalypse. The purpose of this book is to assist the reader in preparing for, enduring, and perhaps even surviving, the most difficult time period so far in human history, while still being an active part of society. The question as to when and how the Apocalypse unfolds is controversial among Christians. But one point should be beyond dispute. The Apocalypse will be very severe, and will affect everyone on earth. May God give you His providence and grace during the difficult years ahead. Chapter List: 1. General Considerations 2. Events of the Apocalypse 3. Food 4. Water 5. Land and Shelter 6. Why does the apocalypse craze in movies and video games appeal to so many people so strongly? One answer is it shows us the primal foundations of our existence. In the same way, what’s happening in our world today is moving Christians to return to the foundations of our spiritual existence. Believers everywhere must get back to what matters most. We must always remember that our battle, at its most basic level, is spiritual. So, what are the spiritual tools—the essentials—that Scripture tells us we must remember and use as the end draws near? In The End Times Survival Guide, you will discover ten spiritual tools the Bible relates directly to our preparation for the Lord’s coming—ten biblical survival strategies to live out in these last days so you and your family can prosper in an increasingly decaying, darkening world. These strategies won’t guarantee your physical or financial well-being, but they are guaranteed to bring life and vitality to your spiritual health and welfare as you cling to the immovable rock of God’s Word. When life is whittled down to its essence, the real issue is our spiritual condition before God. Discover how you can protect yourself and your family spiritually in these dark days.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is a manual for Evangelical Christians who anticipate the “second coming” of Jesus Christ and understand that they may be called upon to endure some of the hardships of the End Times. It takes the genre of survival literature up a notch by addressing the moral, ethical and doctrinal questions that Christians should consider in planning for existential challenges in an uncertain future. The author doesn’t “reinvent the wheel” on common survival issues, but covers items of interest to Believers who want to develop a survival strategy that deals with the world as they find it, yet is consistent with their faith. Among these are: Does charity really “begin at home?” Is it righteous to use lethal force in defense of yourself and others? Does subscribing to the Pre-Tribulation Rapture mean that Believers need not be concerned about coping with the End Times?

Christians know that the signs are everywhere that point to The Rapture as being imminent. From the rebirth of Israel to the ability to communicate worldwide in a matter of seconds, all of the prophecies have been fulfilled except one: Jesus' promised return to take His Bride (the Church) home before the start of the Seven Years Tribulation. In this book, author Jeffrey Harbin lays out in explicit detail how all the pieces are in place, and proves that the Rapture could occur literally at any minute. In what started out as just a letter written for several of his non-believing friends, Harbin not only demonstrates that the Rapture is pending, but also goes into painful detail explaining what non-believers will suffer through during the Seven Years Tribulation. There are 21 separate Judgments which God will inflict upon the earth in a last-ditch attempt to get man's attention. Anyone who misses out on the Rapture due to their lack of belief in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior now has a guidebook that tells them exactly what to expect during the seven years that follow the Rapture. But all is not lost for those who miss the Rapture. Relying only upon Scripture, this book lays out a simple plan of salvation that everyone can follow to guarantee an eternity in heaven with our Lord Jesus Christ.

With A Christian Survival Guide, Ed Cyzewski steps up to be your trail guide and provide some possible answers. He addresses some of the biggest, toughest questions in Christianity, including: - Disturbing Bible stories - Hell and what it means - Does the Bible have to be "true"? - The question of evil- Money and the church- Evangelizing when no one wants to listen Candid and wry, Cyzewski deals with the tension of hard questions without resorting to empty answers, cliches, relativism, or the smug certainty that can so often drive seekers and strugglers further away. This popular blogger also has a knack of making long-ago biblical figures absolutely recognizable in today's issues. This survival guide is not meant to be a "one size fits all" handbook. It is a first step to confronting the big issues and challenges of a life of faith--even the ones that Christians fear most. So begins this book, pointing to the prevalence of apocalypse — cataclysmic destruction and nightmarish end-of-the-world scenarios — in contemporary entertainment. In How to Survive the Apocalypse Robert Joustra and Alissa Wilkinson examine a number of popular stories — from the Cylons in Battlestar Galactica to the purging of innocence in Game of Thrones to the hordes of zombies in The Walking Dead — and argue that such apocalyptic stories reveal a lot about us here and now, about how we conceive of our life together, including some of our deepest tensions and anxieties. Besides analyzing the dsytopian shift in popular culture, Joustra and Wilkinson also suggest how Christians can live faithfully and with integrity in such a cultural context.

Book excerpt: The Survival Guide for Christians Living a Fallen World is another tremendous book written by Melvin Douglas Wilson. This book addresses the many problems that most Christians face in the world today, and provides a Spiritual solution to help navigate the moral decay in the world. This book also looks at past Church cultures and teachings to help provide solutions for current problems in today's society: There are currently more Christian cults in the United States of America than at any other time in the history of this great country of ours and many people are now simply walking away from God. We must all "give diligence to make your calling and election sure: " in these last and evil days! (2nd Peter 1:10) These Christian based written narratives will come to life with the graphically designed pictures that will help you to pain a picture in your mind concerning the Biblical themes in these stories. The author also uses metaphorical thinking in many of these written narratives in-line with Biblical teaching.

This book was released on 2016-12-08 with total page 348 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The VADE MECUM IN TRIBULACIONE was meant as an eschatological manual for the thirteen catastrophic years between its composition in December 1356 and the Thousand-Year Reign of Christ expected to begin in 1370. This manual, permeated by passion for clerical reform, was intended to give righteous Christians practical and spiritual advice on how to survive this period of tribulation. Likewise, it aimed to inform them about what to expect from the envoys of Satan, the Western and the Eastern Antichrists, but also from Christ’s warriors, the papal restorer and his secular assistant, the French-Roman Emperor. Moreover, it offered a brief outline of Christ’s Thousand-Year Reign and of Armageddon. The VADE MECUM was written by John of Rupescissa OFM (c. 1310-1366), the most prolific apocalyptic author of the Middle Ages, as the central work of in all three manuals designed to prepare Christendom for the impending crises. As a completely new text type and summary of the late Rupescissa’s doctrines, this eschatological manual fascinated numerous readers in the Late Middle Ages, who copied, reworked and translated it and made it thus a pivotal text of medieval apocalypticism: ten versions of the Latin VADE MECUM in more than forty manuscripts have come down to us. Rupescissa’s eschatological manual is his last known and most widely distributed work; the present study provides an annotated critical edition equipped with an English translation. It inducts in the manual’s contents, places them in the context of Rupescissa’s work and medieval prophetic literature, investigates important aspects of its reception and clarifies the relationships between its different versions. Furthermore, it ends with a critical edition of the VENI MECUM IN TRIBULACIONE, the most influential compendious version of the VADE MECUM. Thus this book offers an indispensable fundamental contribution to the flourishing studies of Rupescissa and medieval apocalypticism.
