Book Synopsis Religious Doctrines and their Influence on Entrepreneurship by : James O. Fiet
Download or read book Religious Doctrines and their Influence on Entrepreneurship written by James O. Fiet and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2023-11-25 with total page 292 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book explores how religious doctrines influence launching a new venture. It examines 16 Christian denominations and 9 world religions and how they would reasonably be expected to apply more than 20 distinct doctrines each to entrepreneurship. It is not an examination of doctrinal veracity because adherents have confidence in their beliefs. Rather, it examines how they will evaluate the attractiveness of entrepreneurship through the lenses of their beliefs, assuming they receive what they expect. More than 100 years ago, Max Weber pitted Protestantism against Hinduism in a single hypothesis. The current study is a multifactorial examination that covers the world’s major religions, as well as most of their doctrines. It is the first comprehensive examination of how entrepreneurs view the world through the lenses of their religious doctrines, which represent the formalization of their most deeply held beliefs.

Book Synopsis Spinoza in English by : Wayne I. Boucher
Download or read book Spinoza in English written by Wayne I. Boucher and published by BRILL. This book was released on 1991-08-01 with total page 237 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Spinoza in English is the first bibliography to bring together the entire 325-year record of books, monographs, dissertations, and articles in English on Benedict de Spinoza (1632-1677), including translations of his works into English. Well over 2100 citations are presented, bringing this record through early 1991. Arranged alphabetically by author or editor and internally cross-referenced for ease of use, this bibliography also cites its own sources where appropriate and, in many cases, provides guidance on how to obtain unpublished or out-of- print titles. Additionally, it restores or corrects a good deal of earlier bibliographic detail, identifies dozens of publications hitherto overlooked, and, beginning with titles from the mid-1800's, presents the citations in a uniform style.
