Book excerpt: Another Way describes a new way of leadership for the 21st Century, one that inspires people to delve deeply into their own selves and that creates a mysterious relatedness among strangers. When this leadership happens, we remember people are created to experience community, to find joy in one another, and to create a better world out of a deep reservoir where the soul resides. Written by the leaders of the Forum for Theological Exploration, the internationally recognized leadership incubator for emerging Christian leaders, Another Way will shape the way you look at yourself, your leadership, and the communities that hold you accountable to making the world a better place.

The vivid memories of my family and friends have been modified as I remembered the situations to protect their anonymity. This is a national outreach to those who still suffer from abuse together we stand divided we fall. This is a true story of abuse awareness for victims to receive help in sexual, mental, and physical abuse. The story of triumph over abuse, alcoholism, and trauma are episodes about my life. I wrote this book through the eyes of an innocent young child being abused. The promises start to happen when the victim surrenders to the will of God nothing else worked. This material will help people build a foundation of willingness to conquer abuse through the powerful medicine of Gods forgiveness. The road to freedom for the victims of abuse expressed in this work starts with assimilating the trauma, and identifying the problem. This book allows people to see the power of God working in children so powerful that at a young age. I was able to hide the trauma better than being a grown up trying to survive. I just want people to know that they are not alone in their suffering and trauma. We can survive together even though I may not know who they are this message is for those who still suffer.

(Matthew 16:25, NIV)? In Living for Another, author and speaker Brent Gambrell calls the reader to realize God has called us all to abundant life, but in order to have that, we must live a life for someone other than ourselves. You must live for Another. Your life is not destined to be a cautionary tale of what could have been. Have an abundant life by living a life of voluntary loss; a life poured out intentionally for others. Live a life that pleases the One who gave His life for you. Live an abundant life when you live for Another.

Book excerpt: After her mother's death and her father's abandonment, tiny infant Sarah Graham was left to be raised by her emotionally distant grandmother. As a child she turned to music for solace and even gained entrance to Juilliard. But her potentially brilliant music career ended with an unplanned pregnancy and the stillborn birth of her child. In an attempt to escape the past, Sarah, now twenty-seven, is living life hard and fast--and she is flat broke. When her estranged father dies, she travels to the tiny mountain hamlet of Jonah, New York, to claim her inheritance. Once there, she learns her father's will stipulates a six-month stay before she can receive the money. Fueled by hate and desperation, Sarah settles in for the bitter mountain winter, and as the weeks pass, she finds her life intertwining with the lives of the simple, gracious townsfolk. Can these strangers teach Sarah how to forgive and find peace? A story of grace, of God's never-ceasing love, and the sometimes flawed, faithful people He uses to bring His purposes to pass.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: How an acceptance of our limitations can lead to a more fulfilling life and a more harmonious society We live in a world oriented toward greatness, one in which we feel compelled to be among the wealthiest, most powerful, and most famous. This book explains why no one truly benefits from this competitive social order, and reveals how another way of life is possible—a good-enough life for all. Avram Alpert shows how our obsession with greatness results in stress and anxiety, damage to our relationships, widespread political and economic inequality, and destruction of the natural world. He describes how to move beyond greatness to create a society in which everyone flourishes. By competing less with each other, each of us can find renewed meaning and purpose, have our material and emotional needs met, and begin to lead more leisurely lives. Alpert makes no false utopian promises, however. Life can never be more than good enough because there will always be accidents and tragedies beyond our control, which is why we must stop dividing the world into winners and losers and ensure that there is a fair share of decency and sufficiency to go around. Visionary and provocative, The Good-Enough Life demonstrates how we can work together to cultivate a good-enough life for all instead of tearing ourselves apart in a race to the top of the social pyramid.

Fumio Sasaki is not an enlightened minimalism expert or organizing guru like Marie Kondo—he’s just a regular guy who was stressed out and constantly comparing himself to others, until one day he decided to change his life by saying goodbye to everything he didn’t absolutely need. The effects were remarkable: Sasaki gained true freedom, new focus, and a real sense of gratitude for everything around him. In Goodbye, Things Sasaki modestly shares his personal minimalist experience, offering specific tips on the minimizing process and revealing how the new minimalist movement can not only transform your space but truly enrich your life. The benefits of a minimalist life can be realized by anyone, and Sasaki’s humble vision of true happiness will open your eyes to minimalism’s potential.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Until 2006, it was said throughout the world that there were only two possible systems for humanity: capitalism or socialism, the right or the left, with their multiple variants and degrees between them. But today there is talk of another way and another system, to make "another world possible" in which "many worlds fit". The same that has attracted the attention of many people, especially the political intelligentsia and academia in many universities around the world. This paradigm has begun to be studied more profusely, after the introduction - albeit superficial - of certain principles and elements of the Andean Philosophy and Conscience in the Political Constitutions of Bolivia and Ecuador, under the name of Vivir Bien/Buen Vivir (Living Well/Good Living). Likewise, by the introduction of the Rights of Nature and the Rights of Mother Earth in the Magna Carta of Ecuador and Bolivia, respectively. Becoming the first case in the world, since all constitutions only speak of Human Rights. More and more activists from various regions of the planet are becoming interested in knowing what this proposal is about; there are even detractors, although most of them are open and motivated. The important thing is that this new-ancient system is already present and active in the dialogue and debate in the academy and in the real politike. This system is the millenary way of life of the indigenous peoples of America, mainly of the Andes. It lives and survives -at different levels- in some communities and peoples that have been little or not at all affected by civilization, patriarchy, capitalism, modernity, development and neoliberalism. This model of life is maintained in certain communities and peoples, although scattered throughout the continent. In certain regions some elements are preserved; and in certain families and individuals other details that complete this model. That is to say, at present it does not survive unified in its totality or plenitude, but in parts and according to the territories. But if we look at the whole, this millenary community system is maintained. Although weakened, but still with the possibility of a flourishing. Therefore, it is not a horizon under construction, as some have claimed. There is a historical basis and a living experience from which we can start. Some even affirm that Buen Vivir cannot be qualified as a system, model or paradigm, because it is under construction. However, for the indigenous peoples who still live it to this day, it is a certain and proven horizon. It is not an idea or a theory or a fashion or one more adventure in the path of the left or any other sector that pretends to position itself or take this millenary way of life as its referent. Worse, the pretension of a certain left that sees the Buen Vivir only as a means or an instrument for socialism, or for any other social model that comes from Eurocentrism.[1] In this sense, we have made the effort to systematize it theoretically, to present it as an example and a reference for those who aspire to a new world (or worlds) different from the current one. This paradigm of life becomes a pretext or a model to imagine the real possibility of another world beyond the anthropocentric systems of capitalism and socialism. An alterglobalist version of the conventional left and right wing conceptions. This communarchic system has been baptized at the same time with several names, both in Andean languages and in Spanish. In Kichwa as Sumak Kawsay, in Aymara Suma Qamaña, in Spanish and officially as Living Well (Bolivia) - Good Living (Ecuador); although, for others it is Living in Plenitude, Living in Harmony, Living in Equity, Good Coexistence, etc.
