En nuestro caso, en un contexto de índole política, por ende el presente trabajo se centra en el Análisis de las estrategias Discursivas presentes en las alocuciones políticas de Luis Carlos Galán Sarmiento. Con el fin de resaltar la importancia y el uso del lenguaje nos hemos centrado en el análisis crítico del discurso político, en este caso analizamos las alocuciones más relevantes de Luis Carlos Galán Sarmiento pronunciadas entre los años 1982 y 1989. Para la realización del presente trabajo abordamos las teorías del Análisis crítico del discurso propuesto por Teun Van Dijk, ya que nos brinda un panorama más amplio en cuanto a los conceptos de poder, contexto, ideología, acceso al discurso y al control. La situación de enunciación propuesta por María Cristina Martínez Solís, la cual nos ofrece las tonalidades apreciativa, predicativa y de intencionalidad, con las cuales es posible identificar las diferentes estrategias discursivas empleadas por nuestro sujeto discursivo. Además de la realización del análisis Kinésico, con el cual es posible develar el nerviosismo de un sujeto discursivo, su seguridad y el poder que ejerce a la hora de expresarse. Por último se realiza un análisis de la Proxémica con el fin de dar a conocer las distancias utilizadas por Luis Carlos Galán Sarmiento a la hora de llevar a cabo sus alocuciones.

It argues that Vitoria not only lived at a time bridging the Middle Ages and Modernity, but also that his thoughts went beyond the times he lived in, giving us inspiration for meeting current challenges that could also be described as “modern” or even post-modern. There has been renewed interest in Francisco de Vitoria in the last few years, and he is now at the centre of a debate on such central international topics as political modernity, colonialism, the discovery of the “Other” and the legitimation of military interventions. All these subjects include Vitoria’s contributions to the formation of the idea of modernity and modern international law. The book explores two concepts of modernity: one referring to the post-medieval ages and the other to our times. It discusses the connections between the challenges that the New World posed for XVIth century thinkers and those that we are currently facing, for example those related to the cyberworld. It also addresses the idea of international law and the legitimation of the use of force, two concepts that are at the core of Vitoria’s texts, in the context of “modern” problems related to a multipolar world and the war against terrorism.
