It follows the main tradition of logical doctrine, with such omissions and changes in method as I, during years of experience, have found it desirable to make in an elementary course in logic. The more important deviations from traditional logic will be found in the treatment of Judgment and the Syllogism and in the part entitled The Logic of Science. I have emphasized the distinction between Judgment and Propositions by giving to the former a separate exposition, preceding the discussion of Propositions.
