Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Your health mainly depends on one factor only: your body oxygen level that is measured using the body oxygen test. If you have more than 30 seconds for the body oxygen test, you do not need this book because there are better methods and techniques that will help you to move further. If you have less than 20 seconds, you are in a state of poor health. People with chronic diseases nearly always have less than 20 seconds. This is the conclusion of Russian and Soviet MDs who tested more than 200,000 people with various chronic health problems. They also found that if these people get more than 30 seconds for the body oxygen test, they will be free from their symptoms and medication. This breathing technique has been tested on more than 200 students. The results are impressive. Over 90% of my students were able to reduce or eliminate their medication and experience relief from symptoms of numerous chronic conditions in about 1-2 months. It all depends on your final CP (body oxygenation) results. For most students the Amazing DIY device is even more efficient than the Buteyko breathing exercises that I have been teaching for over 7 years. Together with addressing main lifestyle factors described in this book, it is the fastest and most efficient among common breathing techniques in order to achieve a 30 second CP 24/7 and eliminate symptoms and medication related to many common chronic conditions. How to improve body oxygenation? You need to slow down your automatic breathing (breathe slower and less 24/7). This is also the advice of traditional ancient yoga and all eastern healing techniques. Western science also tells us that breathing more air (hyperventilation or deep breathing) reduces O2 levels in all vital organs of the human body. (Very slow deep breathing exercise Pranayama has positive effects, if you get more CO2 in the lungs.) You can try various methods and techniques to increase your body oxygenation, but based on years of my teaching the Buteyko method and breathing retraining to hundreds of people, I can positively claim that the Amazing DIY breathing device is an excellent and affordable option to get a body oxygen boost and solve most of your health problems. (If you are wealthy and can pay for our luxurious online lessons, you can surely join our Oxygen Remedy webinars.) Based on a) many years of my own experience teaching breathing normalization to hundreds of students and b) clinical trials of breathing retraining techniques, here is a short summary of the key findings. While the Buteyko breathing method possesses the most versatile and powerful program in relation to lifestyle factors, use of the Amazing DIY breathing device provides a student with the fastest possible body oxygen level increase after one breathing session. This is manifested in a higher CP (Control Pause). Hatha Yoga is another great breathing retraining technique, but it is very slow to learn and, unfortunately, there are very few, if any, yoga teachers in the west who understand how oxygen gets into cells (most of them believe that CO2 is "a waste gas"). Hence, you have to go to India to learn traditional hatha yoga that will improve your breathing and health. The suggested solution is the Amazing DIY breathing device, but my program also includes training in all the relevant lifestyle factors, which were so brilliantly pinpointed by Dr. Buteyko.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Oxygen is crucial for normal health. Nearly all chronic diseases are either based on or always accompanied by tissue hypoxia (low levels of oxygen in body cells) and poor results for the body oxygen test. A person can eat tons of supplements, drink canisters of super juices, practice yoga for many hours every day and do many other useful or encouraged things, but, if his or her body O2 levels remain unchanged, the health of this person will likely remain unchanged too. Frolov device effects: For an average sick person, breathing exercises with the Frolov device or Breathslim (a similar device) are the fastest and easiest method to increase body oxygenation. These exercises do not require a breathing teacher or practitioner. These are the reasons why the Frolov device or Breathslim is so effective for various health problems and people who have low body O2 content (Butyeko CP test). During the first decade of this century, over 2,000,000 Frolov devices were sold in Russia. This is the statistic of Russian company Dinamika, the main producer of Frolov devices. Since the Frolov device is a medical device (approved by FDA as well), Russians can buy Frolov devices in pharmacies. Over 500 Russian doctors endorse and encourage the use of the Frolov breathing device to their patients in order to normalize body oxygenation and other vital body characteristics. Clinical studies proved that breathing exercises with the Frolov device lead to improvements in key health parameters for people with numerous health problems ranging from heart disease and diabetes to asthma and COPD. While Dinamika provides instructions in English and other foreign languages (together with a DVD) for people who buy the foreign version of the Frolov device, these traditional instructions do not include lifestyle changes and the DIY body oxygen test that is exceptionally useful to monitor progress in one's health. In addition, there are people who want to defeat chronic diseases, not only obesity, using the Breathslim, a breathing device that is very similar to Frolov device. With these ideas in mind and after teaching the Buteyko breathing method and combined Buteyko-Frolov therapy to thousands of people, I decided to write this manual. While this book includes instructions developed by Dr. Sergey Zinatulin (the chief medical professional at Dinamika), there are many additions. First of all, it includes dozens of Western studies related to the body oxygen test and its description. Second, the book offers a complete program for breathing retraining: how to get more than 20 seconds for the body oxygen test 24/7 in order to stop progression of nearly all chronic diseases and eliminate medication and major symptoms of heart disease, asthma, bronchitis, sinusitis, chronic fatigue and many other conditions. This health program is based on elements of the Buteyko method and includes lifestyle modules related to sleep, physical exercise, nutritional deficiencies, and focal infections since each of these factors is crucial for health and higher body oxygenation. The book also includes a complete description of breathing exercises for development of diaphragmatic breathing (for beginners) and how to make the modified Frolov device and Breathslim (for advanced students with more than 25 seconds for the body oxygen test).

Book excerpt: This book by Dr. Artour Rakhimov can be used to learn the Buteyko breathing exercises by novices. However, in cases of self-learning, a breathing student should have at least 25 seconds for the body oxygen test in order to be successful in understanding and application of provided instructions. This result (over 25 s for the CP or control pause test) can be achieved while applying the Frolov breathing device, the Amazing DIY breathing device and/or other respiratory devices. It is also possible to achieve over 25 s CP by learning the initial Buteyko breathing exercises from a qualified breathing teacher. If we compare this book with other books and instructions about the Buteyko exercises, this book is advanced for a variety of reasons:* It explains special Buteyko breathing exercises for people with high blood pressure levels and anxiety attacks. These groups of pupils are generally unable to properly carry out ordinary Buteyko breathing exercises. Air hunger can aggravate their symptoms.* The book clarifies how to proceed from easy Buteyko breathing exercises to more advanced ones.* Part 4 of this book provides practical scripts for the use of visualization during Buteyko breathing exercises for better relaxation of body muscles and greater improvements in body O2 results.* It clarifies the best or optimum durations of the Buteyko respiratory sessions.* The book explains the effect of overtraining as a result of excessive Buteyko breathing exercises and those practical steps which are necessary to eliminate, treat and avoid this problem.* Part 5 of the book describes the rare, but possible effect of a lost sensitivity to carbon dioxide. This effect is sometimes confused with the blunted sensitivity in relation to carbon dioxide. The book provides step-by-step instructions how to deal with these two health problems using changes in lifestyle and while applying other unique methods.* The book describes practical how-to guidelines for the use of Buteyko breathing exercises during physical activity: from easy up to intensive physical exercise.* Part 6 explains the "click effect". This physiological effect can take place only in experienced breathing students. It leads to a sudden and lasting (often permanent) increase in body oxygenation (the results for the CP test). For many (fortunate) students, this effect assists them to quickly pass through the 40 s CP threshold with amazing health improvements. Such students acquire a natural desire (craving) to do more physical exercise, astonishing levels of energy, natural passion for eating raw foods, remarkable clarity of the mind, short and effective sleep (less than 4.5 hours) without deliberate restrictions, and some other changes.Note that this book does not provide any clinical data linked to prevalence of chronic overbreathing (deep and fast breathing at rest and 24/7) in general population and in people with chronic diseases (such as cancer, heart disease, asthma, epilepsy, diabetes and many others). You can find these results in other books and articles published by Dr. Artour Rakhimov. This book also does not contain instructions for those changes in lifestyle (associated with rest, physical exercise, diet and other factors) that lead to improved body oxygenation. The book focuses on application and progress associated with daily and systematic application of the Buteyko breathing exercises.

Book excerpt: A New York Times Bestseller A Washington Post Notable Nonfiction Book of 2020 Named a Best Book of 2020 by NPR “A fascinating scientific, cultural, spiritual and evolutionary history of the way humans breathe—and how we’ve all been doing it wrong for a long, long time.” —Elizabeth Gilbert, author of Big Magic and Eat Pray Love No matter what you eat, how much you exercise, how skinny or young or wise you are, none of it matters if you’re not breathing properly. There is nothing more essential to our health and well-being than breathing: take air in, let it out, repeat twenty-five thousand times a day. Yet, as a species, humans have lost the ability to breathe correctly, with grave consequences. Journalist James Nestor travels the world to figure out what went wrong and how to fix it. The answers aren’t found in pulmonology labs, as we might expect, but in the muddy digs of ancient burial sites, secret Soviet facilities, New Jersey choir schools, and the smoggy streets of São Paulo. Nestor tracks down men and women exploring the hidden science behind ancient breathing practices like Pranayama, Sudarshan Kriya, and Tummo and teams up with pulmonary tinkerers to scientifically test long-held beliefs about how we breathe. Modern research is showing us that making even slight adjustments to the way we inhale and exhale can jump-start athletic performance; rejuvenate internal organs; halt snoring, asthma, and autoimmune disease; and even straighten scoliotic spines. None of this should be possible, and yet it is. Drawing on thousands of years of medical texts and recent cutting-edge studies in pulmonology, psychology, biochemistry, and human physiology, Breath turns the conventional wisdom of what we thought we knew about our most basic biological function on its head. You will never breathe the same again.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Tired of endless diets and dieting for weight loss or less medication? Want a health therapy that is based on exact goals (with specific numbers for you to achieve!) and provides a guarantee of ideal health and absence of chronic disease, medication, and symptoms? Want to know more about the method (the Buteyko breathing method) that was used for the best ever known clinical trial on cancer and 6 most effective trials on asthma? If you answered yes to some or all of these questions, you are on the right page. You can eat tons of supplements and super foods, drink canisters of super drinks, have 100's of colonic irrigations, and practice yoga for hours every day, but, if your breathing remains unchanged, your symptoms, doses of medication, chronic insomnia, and other health problems will likely remain unchanged too. This is because correct breathing brings vital oxygen, and less than 95% of modern people have right breathing. Modern people, including so called "normal subjects," simply breathe too much air day and night. (Exact charts, graphs, studies and numbers are inside the book.) People also believe that it is good to breathe more air at rest, but overbreathing reduces O2 levels in cells. The most successful clinical trial in the whole history of cancer research was conducted using the Buteyko method. The results of this trial on 120 people with metastatic cancer (early metastasis) were published in the Ukrainian Oncology Journal. The group that practiced reduced Buteyko breathing exercises had 6 times less mortality in 3 years in comparison with the control group. (See "Doctors Who Cure Cancer" for more detail.) Here is another fact: 6 most effective Western clinical trials on asthma were conducted using the same Buteyko method that targets elimination of chronic hyperventilation. Diets, yoga and any other "natural" or holistic therapy is not even remotely close to breathing normalization. What is common for cancer and asthma? Symptoms and development of these health problems correlates with O2 levels in body cells. But this is true not only for cancer and asthma, we need more oxygen in body cells to prevent and fight over 150 most popular modern diseases! The conditions are ranging from heart disease and cancer, the main killers in the west, to hormonal and digestive problems, diabetes, and asthma. Natural weight loss and great sleep are common side effects of breathing normalization known to any Buteyko breathing teacher. This book provides an introduction to the Buteyko breathing method and breathing retraining. It provides results of 100s of studies, review of lifestyle factors and clinical trials, effects of breathing retraining on common health problems, as well as analysis of the most important questions related to breathing retraining and long-term success in health restoration. For exact topics covered in this book, see titles of chapters and sections.

Book excerpt: This book could be used in order to learn the Buteyko breathing method exercises even by people with poor results for the body oxygen test or the Buteyko CP test (less than 15 s). However, the best results, in cases of self-learning (or DIY methods), are achieved when the learner already has at least 25 s for the body oxygen test. This Kindle and PDF book is advanced, in comparison with other descriptions of Buteyko breathing exercises, in the following areas: The book describes relaxed breathing exercises for people with hypertension and panic attacks. These groups of learners are often unable to safely do breath holds and practice ordinary Buteyko reduced breathing exercises. Air hunger can worsen their symptoms. The book explains how to proceed from easy Buteyko breathing exercises to its more advanced types. This relates to breathing exercises with a moderate and strong degree of air hunger. Chapter 4 of this book provides practical scripts for the use of visualization and imagery during Buteyko breathing exercises. The book explains optimum and maximum durations for Buteyko breathing sessions. It also describes the phenomenon of overtraining due to Buteyko breathing exercises and steps that are necessary in order to solve this problem. Chapter 5 explains the phenomenon of a lost CO2 sensitivity, which should not be confused with the blunted CO2 sensitivity. The book provides practical step-by-step instructions how to overcome both of these health challenges using lifestyle changes and other special methods. The book describes instructions for application of Buteyko breathing exercises during physical activity. Chapter 6 describes the "click effect" that leads to nearly instantaneous transition to much better results for the body oxygen test (the CP test). For some (lucky) students, the click effect helps them to quickly break through 40 s threshold for the morning CP and achieve astonishing health benefits. These health effects include natural cravings for physical exercise and raw foods, sleep that is no longer than 4.5 hours (without trying), amazing clarity of mind, very high energy levels and other natural changes. The book does not include description of those lifestyle changes (related to sleep, physical exercise, diet and so forth) that lead to increased body oxygenation. It focuses on practice and progress related to the Buteyko breathing exercises.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The book is based on a therapy used by more than 170 Soviet and Russian medical doctors. According to their clinical observations and hundreds of Western studies, low body oxygenation is the key factor that promotes cancer. These observations resulted in a unique clinical trial on cancer patients organized by one of the Ukrainian physicians who applied the Buteyko method on 120 people with metastatic cancer. The book "Doctors Who Cure Cancer" provides detailed analysis of the method since this is the most successful clinical trial in the whole history of cancer research. The tested cancer therapy was based on breathing retraining or teaching patients who to breathe in accordance with medical norms days and nights. Here are some details of this trial. Early metastatic cancers are deadly, but even these cancers can be cured For early stages of metastasis, the typical 3- or 5-year survival rate is usually about 70-80%. In this astonishing published clinical trial, the survival rate in the control group was about 76%. But 96% of people in the main group, which practiced breathing exercises (to increase body oxygenation), in addition to standard medical therapies, survived. Therefore, this self-oxygenation technique naturally reduced mortality almost 6 times! There were only 2 people in the experimental group who died, but both had serious additional healt problems (heart disease and diabetes). But all those who had only cancer survived. This can be the most powerful natural cancer cure used by doctors. Can we cure cancer naturally? The trial was published in Ukrainian Oncology Journal (Kiev). This self-oxygenation method has been used by more than 160 Soviet and Russian medical doctors on over 200,000 patients, many of whom had cancers. Prior to this clinical trial, these Soviet and Russian MDs tested hundreds of people with cancers and found that all of them had heavy breathing pattern with low results for the DIY body oxygen test. These doctors discovered that dynamic of cancer (stalemate, metastasis or regression of tumors) depends on breathing patterns and body oxygenation. They developed a program for cancer treatment that is based on simple breathing exercises and lifestyle changes. Breathing parameters in people with cancer Several Western studies (described in this book) measured minute ventilation, respiratory frequency and end-tidal CO2 in people with cancer. All these medical publications found that virtually each and every person with cancer: breathed about 2 times more air per minute than the medical norm had very low exhaled CO2 content (about 2 times less for people with metastasis) had increased respiratory rate at rest (up to 30-40 breaths/min instead of normal 10-12 breaths/minute). This is called "hyperventilation" or breathing more than the medical norm. Overbreathing, according to hundreds of clinical studies, reduces O2 levels in body cells. Review of other breathing therapies for treatment of cancer Apart from the Buteyko breathing method used by more than 150 doctors, this book reviews other self-oxygenation techniques and breathing exercises that increase body oxygenation. The book suggests that people can cure cancer naturally if they normalize their automatic breathing and achieve about 40 seconds for the simple DIY body oxygen test.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This lecture took place in the largest auditorium of the Moscow State University (named after M. V. Lomonosov). This special event was organized for the staff of the University. It was likely the classified nature of Buteyko's research during the 1960s (for first Soviet spaceship missions or Soviet Cosmos) and exclusiveness of his discoveries that predetermined the organization of this lecture.Hence, it was definitely a very large and significant event for the scientific staff of the Moscow State University, the most famous and prestigious University of the USSR. Try to imagine: the leading scientists, Professors, Academicians, and Directors of numerous Institutes of the most famous Soviet University are gathered together to hear news about Space Program discoveries that have benefited medicine. The lecture does not describe Buteyko breathing exercises (or Buteyko reduced or shallow breathing). However, it focuses in great detail on healthy lifestyle factors and lifestyle risk factors, as well as situational details of work of Dr. Buteyko and his medical colleagues with the severely sick patients, as one can see from the content of this e-book. The book quotes the term "yoga" more than 20 times. In order to have a better understanding of what Dr. Buteyko said during this lecture, the book includes numerous comments and explanations provided by Dr. Artour Rakhimov. These comments include clinical studies that support Dr. Buteyko's ideas.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Cystic fibrosis is a lifestyle disease. Very few people on the West are aware that there are many Russians with CF (cystic fibrosis) who are over 50 and even 60 years old due to their adherence to one medical therapy that was developed and practiced by over 150 Soviet and Russian medical doctors. Since 1960s, these MDs have applied the Buteyko breathing therapy to increase body oxygen levels, and these doctors claim that people with CF can have at least normal (or average) life expectancy if their maintain high (or normal) body O2 content. You will not find such information in any other cystic fibrosis books. Cystic fibrosis life expectancy has been steadily growing for many decades. In late 1930s, most babies with CF died before their first birthday. Later, in the 1950s, CF life expectancy was less than 10 years. Soon after, due to use of various therapies, it increased from 14 years (in the 1980s) up to current 35-37 years. Some researchers, in their cystic fibrosis books, predict that babies born with CF during this century can live up to their 50s. But a group of Russian doctors claim that main symptoms of CF can be defeated. My own experience, in successful elimination of major symptoms of CF in my students, also suggests the same conclusions. These breathing methods address lifestyle factors that influence body O2 and use breathing exercises to increase body oxygenation. The book offers a detailed description of main lifestyle modules that increase body O2 naturally and significantly reduce many symptoms of CF (e.g., coughing, too much mucus, wheezing, and various digestive concerns) within days. How and why can these therapies work? CF is considered a genetic disease. So is asthma, or Down syndrome. Not all genetic diseases are the same. Many of them, CF included, are also lifestyle diseases meaning that lifestyle choices have a direct impact on quality of life (and CF life expectancy). Western medical studies clearly proved that tissue hypoxia (low O2 in cells) creates problems in the work of tiny ionic pumps that transport chemicals (sodium, chlorine and water) across the epithelial layers. This negative effect of hypoxia is present even in healthy people, but more expressed in people with CF due to the presence of the defective CFTR gene. Each and every study that measured respiratory parameters in people with CF found too fast and deep breathing (hyperventilation) in comparison with the medical norm (that is tiny). There are two long-term scenarios due to overbreathing. Either we get low CO2 levels in the blood (this causes spasm of blood vessels and reduced body O2) or we destroy our airways and lungs due to injurious effects of hypocapnia. In any scenario (with and without lung involvement), hyperventilation leads to low O2 levels in cells. Low cellular O2 causes formation of too thick and viscous mucus. Cell hypoxia also suppresses the immune system. Both factors promote growth of pathogens in people with CF in the respiratory and digestive systems, while other organs and body parts are also under physiological and biochemical stress due to low O2 in cells. Other factors, such as chronic mouth breathing and chest breathing, also reduce body O2 and make any treatment of CF less effective. Therefore, the suggested medical therapy, in order to increase CF life span, is to slow down automatic breathing back to the medical norm and increase body O2 naturally. Clinical experience of Buteyko breathing MDs in Russia suggests that results of a simple body O2 test predict cystic fibrosis life expectancy. People with moderate degree of CF usually have only about 15-20 seconds or less for their body oxygen test, while the medical norm is 40 seconds. In terminally ill people (with CF and many other disorders) body O2 is less than 10 seconds. With over 40 seconds for the body O2 test, a person with CF can eliminate all symptoms and have an average life expectancy.
