Book excerpt: Trace and Write: Practice Tracing Alphabet Letters, Animal Words, Sight Words, and Sentences, provides extensive focus on alphabet letter formation for the beginning writer. The alphabet tracing pages have a full-page format that focuses on one alphabet at a time, which allows additional practice for the beginning writer. The beginning writer has a minimum of 30 opportunities to trace each alphabet before each alphabet writing practice page is presented. Once a student has adequately mastered an alphabet they may then move on to the next alphabet tracing page or skip around as comfortable. This alphabet tracing penmanship workbook will help increase your student's ability to: -Print uppercase and lowercase letters of the alphabet and recognize the difference between the two. -Write from left to right and top to bottom of page. -Recognize spacing between letters and eventually words. -Understand the concept of writing letters. -Write words and brief sentences that are legible. -Write his/her own first and last name and other important words. Some neurologists advocate writing to learn. One states, "The practice of writing can enhance the brain's intake, processing, retaining, and retrieving of information. Through writing, students can increase their comfort with and success in understanding complex material, unfamiliar concepts, and subject-specific vocabulary." Since kindergarten students do not have to prepare for assessments, focus can instead be placed on their literacy development. Reading to children and talking to them directly can be huge. Parents can start conversations-helping to build verbal vocabulary, write a grocery list together-helping to practice handwriting skills, and select books together at the library-allowing students to enjoy the usefulness of the printed word. Another way to raise their awareness of language in their environment is to point to street signs, billboards, traffic signs, and menus in restaurants. The Trace and Write Sight Words section of this workbook contains 51 high-frequency words students will come across in any text. Students should spend several days each week studying these sight words with a teacher/adult. The amount of time spent on each lesson will vary according to the ability level of the individual child. In order to increase fluency, parents and teachers can create sight word flashcards that students can use for daily practice. Sight words are divided into groups of three. Each word has lines for tracing and free-writing, followed by a sentence using the word. The sentences are provided to help your child see how each word is used in context. Once the student learns these high-frequency sight words, their reading fluency and literacy confidence will increase. All words in the sentences presented are not sight words and students are not responsible for learning each word at this stage. Parents and teachers should help students with the words they do not recognize. Alphabet tracing mastery and handwriting penmanship practice is the goal of this book. Students can learn to master alphabet tracing quickly when this book is used every day. Tracing letters and then using the free-writing practice pages, in addition to tracing the animal words, sight words, and sentences provided gives students extensive handwriting practice that other workbooks do not provide.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Are you looking for a fun workbook to help you teach your child to write? Then you are in the right place! Take your child on an exciting journey through the entire ABC and all the numbers from 0 to 30 with: Letter And Number Tracing Book For Kids Ages 3-5: A Fun Practice Workbook To Learn The Alphabet And Numbers From 0 To 30 For Preschoolers And Kindergarten Kids! This exercise book introduces your child to writing letters and numbers in a playful and age-appropriate manner that will help him or her get to know the alphabet and the numbers 0 to 30. In this way, children are guided and optimally prepared for pre-school and primary school. The book is divided into sections: numbers and letters. The learning process is guided as follows: Letters Every letter is new territory for your child. The first step is to get to know the letter and practice through the correct pen guidance by simply tracing it. This is followed by a word containing the letter you have just learned. So your child learns to put the letter in a word. Encourage your child to read the word aloud to directly practice the corresponding sound. Finally, your child learns to write the letter freely and independently. Numbers To understand the meaning of numbers, your child starts counting picture elements. Then, just as with letters, he or she will have to trace the numbers. As soon as they become more confident, free writing follows the number you have just learned, with guidelines ensuring that the number is placed at the correct height. In both areas, learning takes place in a meaningful and reliable structure that gives your child security and constantly encourages them to see their own progress. Parents can help their children work through this exercise book and provide the necessary support. After all, writing is not easy for every child. Parents should keep a special eye on the correct pen position and hand guidance and celebrate every milestone with their child. For both numbers and letters, encourage your child to speak out loud about what he or she has learned. The more senses are involved in the learning process, the faster and easier it is to learn. By completing this exercise book, your child will be able to write the lower and upper case letters from A to Z, as well as the numbers 0 to 30. It is especially important that your child can work and learn at their own pace. This is the only way to keep the fun and become more confident in writing from letter to letter, or from number to number. A quick look at the most important facts of the book: Suitable for children from ages 3 to 5 Sensible structure that optimally accompanies the learning process Great preparation for pre-school and kindergarten A fun way to learn the numbers from 0 to 30 and the letters A to Z Designed and sensibly structured to suit children Promotes correct pen management and concentration Lots of space for free practice Lovely designs Combine play with learning. Benefit from "Letter And Number Tracing Book For Kids Ages 3-5" and accompany your child within a meaningful structure on the way to writing letters and numbers! Get this book NOW!

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What makes us human? In recent decades, researchers have focused on innate tendencies and inherited traits as explanations for human behavior, especially in light of groundbreaking human genome research. The author thinks this trend is misleading. As he shows in great detail in this engaging, thought-provoking, and highly informative book, what makes our species unique is our marvelous ability to learn, which is an ability that no other primate possesses. In his exploration of human progress, the author reveals that the immensity of human learning has not been fully understood or examined. Evolution has endowed us with extremely versatile bodies and a brain comprised of one hundred billion neurons, which makes us especially suited for a wide range of sophisticated learning. Already in childhood, human beings begin learning complex repertoires—language, sports, value systems, music, science, rules of behavior, and many other aspects of culture. These repertoires build on one another in special ways, and our brains develop in response to the learning experiences we receive from those around us and from what we read and hear and see. When humans gather in society, the cumulative effect of building learning upon learning is enormous. The author presents a new way of understanding humanness—in the behavioral nature of the human body, in the unique human way of learning, in child development, in personality, and in abnormal behavior. With all this, and his years of basic and applied research, he develops a new theory of human evolution and a new vision of the human being. This book offers up a unified concept that not only provides new ways of understanding human behavior and solving human problems but also lays the foundations for opening new areas of science.
