On constate cependant que les outils permettant son évaluation sont encore rares et concernent surtout le jeune enfant. C'est la raison pour laquelle, nous avons choisi d'adapter dans le cadre de ce mémoire deux des quatre épreuves issues du Test des habiletés pragmatiques de B. Shulman. Ce test destiné à l'origine à une population de 3 - 8 ans, a été modifié afin de créér une évaluation des habiletés sociales, pertinente pour une population plus âgée, celle des 8 -12 ans. Les deux épreuves élaborées sont des épreuves de conversation fictive, à l'aide d'une activité de faire semblant. Elles se présentent sous la forme d'une conversation devant un cinéma ainsi que d'une conversation téléphonique. Avec cette expérimentation nous avons été en mesure de juger de la pertinence de l'outil créé en rapport avec notre hypothèse de départ. Nous avons proposé une critique de notre travail en espérant que celui-ci sera poursuivi et qu'une éventuelle normalisation de ce test verra le jour.
