Download or read book A Word in My Mouth written by Robert Cording and published by Wipf and Stock Publishers. This book was released on 2013-09-11 with total page 194 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: These poems--selected from the past three decades--are firmly rooted in what Richard Wilbur called the "hunks and colors of the world." They faithfully try to take into account a world we did not make and, at the same time, record the terrifying and painful contradictions of human experience. And finally, they try to do so while remaining open to the intrinsic joy of being. These are poems rooted in the belief that words can invoke those presences which bring us back, again and again, to the fundamental experience of being: that there is something rather than nothing. The poems in A Word In My Mouth embody, as Czeslaw Milosz puts it, "the double life of our common human circumstance as beings in between the dust that we are and the divinity to which we would aspire."

All of his thoughts are very important to him, and when he has something to say, his words rumble and grumble in his tummy, they wiggle and jiggle on his tongue and then they push on his teeth, right before he ERUPTS (or interrupts). His mouth is a volcano! But when others begin to interrupt Louis, he learns how to respectfully wait for his turn to talk. My Mouth Is A Volcano takes an empathetic approach to the habit of interrupting and teaches children a witty technique to help them manage their rambunctious thoughts and words. Told from Louis' perspective, this story provides parents, teachers, and counselors with an entertaining way to teach children the value of respecting others by listening and waiting for their turn to speak.

Book Synopsis There's A Miracle In Your Mouth: The Empowered Word by : Comfort Nko Akor
Download or read book There's A Miracle In Your Mouth: The Empowered Word written by Comfort Nko Akor and published by BookRix. This book was released on 2017-03-29 with total page 60 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The words you speak and proclaim by faith are spirit and life. Inside of you are seeds of greatness and your thoughts must be must be right. If you can speak it by faith, see it; feel it and you will have it. By your words you are justify or condemn. Your words are vital important. God's word carries His power and life. You are so important and precious that God the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit created you and He want to lavish His love on you. When God creates, He creates with precision and purpose. He created lights for a purpose and darkness for another purpose and created man (you) for a purpose. That purpose is for fellowship, to rule over, to reign over, to be responsible, to be master of all, and complete authority over, power over, dominion over the earth. Gen 1:26-28 " 26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth". (KJV) The starting point of fulfilling God's purpose for anyone therefore, is to be productive. God's highest purpose for you is revealed in this passage as being "to show forth or proclaim the praises of God who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light". To show is to demonstrate or display or express as God's own special people, the praises of God. Your purpose is to declare to people. Announce it to the world the praises of Him. We are therefore primarily made as agents of worship to glorify God our maker. May you live up to God's expectations of His glory being made manifest in every area of your life, in Jesus Name. The Bible says in Eph 1:5 & 11 "we are predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things after the counsel of his own will". This means that no one can determine his purpose in life by himself because it has been predetermined before the creation of the world and therefore not open to choice. The purpose of every human being in this world is to glorify God. Faith sees beyond the moment. Faith sees beyond the problem. Faith is not bound to the present but crates room for the future to be realized. Faith focuses on the glorious outcome on the other side of a calamity. Do you think you have missed it beyond repairs? Have faith in God. Do you think that opportunity will never come again? Have faith in God. 1 John 5:4-5 "Every child of God can defeat the world, and our faith is what gives us this victory". (CEV)
