With the 1999 completion of the seventh volume generated by the project, the team turned to making their work available to a broader, non-Japanese speaking audience; this involved not only translation of the language, but also adjustments to content to make the original Japanese-oriented contexts and inferences intelligible to a non-Japanese audience.
