Book Synopsis The Popular Girls Book Series by : Raven Riley
Download or read book The Popular Girls Book Series written by Raven Riley and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2011-07-26 with total page 478 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: My book is about three girls who are very mean and rich. They came from different states, and they also run the school. The three popular girls are so very rich and very spoiled to the bone. Each of the three girls have different personalities; they are always expressing their styles of clothes that all 3 of them wear to school everyday. Chloe tries to spend all of her money so she can buy clothes online. She does not get along with her sister Amy. Chloe hates going to school every day; she is mean to a lot of people at that school. Chloe never gets to spend any time with her beau because she is always working and also doing her homework after she gets off from work. The two of them argue a lot. She does not have the perfect family. She is the hottest chick at school. Summer is just the sweetest person that you will ever meet. She does not always yell at people. Her favorite color is yellow. Summer has a sister named Naomi. Let me tell you something else, they never agree on anything with each other you could possibly name of. The two of them would definitely honestly fight about it. Summer used to have a boyfriend named Max, but I am not going to tell you what happened to their past relationship. Kaylee was the more fly chick and a hot, sexy chick. She was not always so sweet for looks can be so deceiving. She can stay mad at anyone for a very long time. It takes her a long time to get over something that made her very angry. I totally forgot where Kaylee lives anyway. Kaylee loves going to school; she is a straight A-student. She loves to party with her friends and drink all night long. Kaylee really does not have a curfew; she can come home anytime. She would never date any guys that have really bad breath. Kaylee’s high school sweetheart is Jake Stanley. The two of them have been dating ever since middle school and now in high school. She fell head over heels for that guy. He rides motorcycles. He is basically the love of her life. Jake and Kaylee do everything together like going out dancing or hanging out with his friends. They make the perfect couple. He makes her laugh and smile. They both make each other happy. What they have is real love, not puppy love. So you need to read to find out what happens to these three girls in my book. It is a very interesting book, You are going to really like it. It is very funny at the same time and very sad too. There are a lot of funny parts in the book that make me laugh.
Book Synopsis The Complete Verse of Noel Coward by : Noël Coward
Download or read book The Complete Verse of Noel Coward written by Noël Coward and published by A&C Black. This book was released on 2011-09-29 with total page 381 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Complete Verse of Noël Coward brings together the three volumes of verse produced during his lifetime together with previously unpublished material for the very first time. For the legions of fans of The Master, this definitive collection of Coward's verse writings will prove irresistible. 'Throughout most of the years of my life, since approximately 1908, I have derived a considerable amount of private pleasure from writing verse . . . It is an inherent instinct in the English character.' Beginning with his youthful verse experiments, The Complete Verse arranges in themed chapters Coward's prolific public and personal verse writings. Chapters bring together his verse on a wide variety of subjects including war, the theatre, love, friends, travel, and God and the infinite. It features the satirical 'cod-pieces' - Chelsea Buns and Spangled Unicorn - and the verse collected in the 1967 volume Not Yet the Dodo. But alongside these are the verses sent to friends and family over many years, in letters, memos and cables, which paint a vivid portrait of his more private life and are published here for the first time. With a linking commentary by editor Barry Day and sprinkled with illustrations throughout, The Complete Verse offers to Coward readers further enjoyment and appreciation of his wit, insatiable interest in people and skilful rendering of his public and private lives.

Book excerpt: Drowned World introduces Scott Riley, an ordinary Saskatchewan high school student not only determined to make his mark by writing for Erindale High’s newspaper, but also by making the school basketball team. He ends up becoming friends with Jeremy, the jock who not only is impressed by the story that Scott recently wrote for the paper, but also is willing to help him with his aspirations on the basketball court. Scott is invited to a massive rave called Motion by Nicole, one of Scott’s closest friends and the most popular girl in school. He agrees to go with her and discovers Jeremy there as well, realizing that they share more then just science class and hoop dreams. By the end of the party, they begin to set in motion the events that will change both of their lives forever. Drowned World is Scott’s heartbreaking and exciting story about coming out, lost love and friendship, and being found by both all over again. It is also the first book to also introduce the characters in Scott’s world that would join him for the ride throughout and beyond. A snapshot of queer love in the age of sex, drugs, and techno.
Book Synopsis Barker: Plays Three by : Howard Barker
Download or read book Barker: Plays Three written by Howard Barker and published by Bloomsbury Publishing. This book was released on 2012-05-03 with total page 422 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Includes the plays Claw, Ursula, He Stumbled and The Love of a Good Man The plays in this volume range over twenty years, beginning with Barker's first major work for the stage, Claw, a study of urban discontent and political impotence, developed over three stylistically contrasting acts. Its terrible conclusion marked the debut of a vivid dramatic imagination. In Ursula Barker's engagement with the pains of the past, and his way of reinvigorating ancient arguments reaches a high point in his treatment of the legend of St Ursula and the martyrdom of 11,000 virgins, where the virtues of celibacy and marriage are set against the catastrophic passion of a woman described as a 'perfect liar'. Barker's scrutiny of the body and its complex meanings is never more intense than in He Stumbled, the tragedy of a celebrated anatomist whose last dissection becomes his own. The body as a site of political and personal investment is also at the heart of The Love of a Good Man, an early work set on the empty battlefields of the Great War, where the burial of the dead becomes a pretext for private ambition as well as national grief.
