Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Two runaway hearts. A love in hiding. One small secret that might never be found… The downside of being roped into dying 100 eggs for the Petrie’s Crossing Easter Egg Hunt? Well…dying 100 eggs without cracking any shells. But there’s an upside that makes Shannon smile. Getting included in the town’s celebrate-every-holiday obsession is a good sign she’s been accepted. After a month-long break from her Aunt Caroline’s trinkets box, enjoying Mitch’s cooking, Shannon takes the gloves off for a set of vintage hairpins. The moment her fingers touch aged gold and pearls, she envisions a frightened teenage woman running away with her unborn child’s father. The mystery deepens with the discovery the young woman was reported missing and never found. The problem is, Shannon’s visions have revealed details that could close a cold case—but break a family’s hearts. Can she return the trinkets while withholding the truth? Or will trusting one person too many cause a backlash that could drive her away from all she loves—her adopted home town, her friends, even Mitch?

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Rather than pledging allegiance to the military effort as dictated by Prussian law in 1867, many devout Anabaptists deemed it prudent to become pioneers in Kansas. The year was 1876 and odd numbered sections of railroad land were being marketed by the Santa Fe across Kansas. Towns developed around train depots; local shopping became available. Marie Harder Epp was born in America to these relocated Anabaptists. She was a Kansas Mennonite farmer and also the village poet. Her poems, written for oral delivery, tell the story of life in Holland and West Prussia following the Reformation, the relocation to Kansas, and the creation of a church community on the tall grass prairies. A church was organized to focus these hard-working Germans on divine realities as they buried their dead, married their young, and dealt with the harsh prairie winds. Marie's poems also describe the changeover from buggies to cars, from German to English, and from isolation to global outreach. With time, the Anabaptists learned through cultural adaptation that they could be both staunch Mennonites and also patriotic Americans.

Book excerpt: "Shades of Petals" is a captivating journey through six decades of Sadhna's artistic evolution. This collection showcases a diverse range of themes and styles, from delicate watercolors to vibrant glass paintings, each piece reflecting her boundless creativity and deep connection to life’s beauty. For her painting is a normal habitual activity of living. The trigger to paint or just sketch was never premeditated-it came spontaneously. Sadhna epitomises the famous words of the master artist Pablo Picasso: “Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up” With a blend of traditional techniques and creative storytelling, the book invites readers to explore the artist's profound love and artistic passion and calls the reader to embrace the joy of creative expression and nurture the Nature’s gift of art in them. Everyone is an artist, and in every artistic creation, there is a bit of everyone.

Book excerpt: Until my ashes house in the prettiest urn In the backyard of your heart From where I can still see you All the way through And bask in the light of your thousand suns. Like a potpourri of varied flowers, Petals is a hand-picked mélange of 50 poems, each painted with a distinct shade of love and life – the bloom, the wither, the amour, the pangs, the ashes, the resurrection. The verses ooze straight from the heart, some with overwhelming imagery that could stir your imagination, some as soothing as a feather caress on your aching soul, and some penny plain but pointed enough to cut through your stoic facades.
