Download or read book Bigfoot 50 Years Later written by John Kuykendall and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2018-08-30 with total page 54 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Most people think that we do not know much about the behavior of sasquatches; however, that simply is not the case. Through years of study and eye witness testimony, we have seen the same behavior patterns over and over, giving us a fairly good understanding of at least many aspects of their behavior and lifestyles, even if we do not usually know why they do what they do. This page contains a discussion on the various aspects of sasquatch behavior that we have seen and studied. Crepuscular (active both day and night); however, they do tend to be most active in the evening and early night and again in the early morning hours before dawn and into the morning. We really do not know their exact organization at this time, but based on field observations over many years, it appears that they live in family units composed of a mature male, one or more mature females, and whatever juveniles still remain with the family.
Book Synopsis Recasting Bigfoot by : Gian J. Quasar
Download or read book Recasting Bigfoot written by Gian J. Quasar and published by . This book was released on 2013-07 with total page 292 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is not a book about Bigfoot. It's not a compilation of sightings out to prove the giant cone-headed legend of the forest exists. Rather it is a book that looks behind the folklore to uncover the facts . . .and not only the facts but the very first facts and evidence. Most people know that the modern legend of Bigfoot evolved out of the old Indian stories of the Sasquatch. But what most people do not know is that Sasquatch represented two tribes of primitive Indians that lived deep in the mountainous Saskahaua District of British Columbia. One tribe spoke something akin to the Douglas dialect. To the Indians they were giants. The irony, however, is that to the shorter races of the Pacific Northwest giant always meant 6 and a half feet tall. Anthropologists, sociologists and journalists have written books and chronicled sightings and endorsed footprints that depended on White Man's mistake of thinking giant meant something 8 or 9 feet tall. But author Gian J. Quasar takes up the pen of an historian for Recasting Bigfoot and exposes 50 years of modern myth. Seeking primary sources he discovers the actual footprint of the Sasquatch was preserved long before the hype of Bigfoot and popular myth. Following this true but radically different footprint he is able to build the image of the real Sasquatch and reveal the origins of the frightening "animal human" described in old frontier journals and Indian histories. Despite 50 years of hype and hyperbole this is really the first book on the true Sasquatch. What underlies the bloated legend of Bigfoot is actually far more disturbing and intriguing than the popular myth-- disturbing because for 50 years "researchers" ignored the real footprint in order to chase their own created chimera; intriguing because there really was something startling to find. Recasting Bigfoot is both an expose of Bigfootery and a search for the identity of both tribes of "Sasquatch men.""

Book Synopsis The Making of Bigfoot by : Greg Long
Download or read book The Making of Bigfoot written by Greg Long and published by Prometheus Books. This book was released on 2004-03 with total page 476 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Bigfoot! Huge, hairy, foul smelling, this legendary apelike animal continues to captivate the public''s imagination. This fascination hinges on a single piece of motion-picture film shot in northern California in 1967. For thirty-five years, Bigfoot believers have been convinced that this sixty-second piece of film proves the physical reality of Bigfoot. But now comes a book that demolishes that belief, that produces final proof that the film footage is a hoax. The Making of Bigfoot tells the amazing story of Roger Patterson of Yakima, Washington. A part-time rodeo rider, chronically unemployed and dying of cancer, Patterson propelled himself into short-lived fame and fortune by exploiting his obsession with the Bigfoot subject and leveraging his expertise in manipulating and conning people to pull off one of the world''s great hoaxes. Living within two hours of Patterson''s hometown, for three years paranormal investigator and author Greg Long interviewed more than forty witnesses in Yakima who knew Patterson intimately. The voices of these witnesses, combined with facts unearthed from newspaper archives, books, and court documents, tell the real story of Roger Patterson. Both tragic and comical, a unique slice of Americana, The Making of Bigfoot captures the testimony of a colorful cast of characters who bring to life a man and a time in the 1960s when Bigfoot strode into the American imagination, and the world embraced a myth.
