Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Somewhere along the journey of my walk with Christ I was made to believe that the work we do for the Lord within the four walls of the church, i.e. any church ministry activity, was most important and pleasing to God. This teaching did not sit well with me. As I spent more time in the Word and grew in my personal relationship with the Lord I became more and more aware that God wants ALL of my life to be a living sacrifice a life that is fully surrendered to Him and not just that part of my life that I offer within my church. Coming to this realization was a journey of self-acceptance, confidence and authenticity, understanding who I am created to be in Him. I accepted fully that God had a specific plan for my life and that I must be true to the calling He has for me. So, instead of just focusing on participating or even leading church related activities, I started to become more mindful of how I lived my life on a daily basis in my workplace to make sure that I give glory to God in all that I do, say or think. I started to look for opportunities to show and share Christ in my marketplace whenever I could. I love to mentor and coach others and believe that my everyday life in the workplace is where I can be an active and living ambassador for Christ. It is clear that God desires for me to be to be the salt and light in the world the marketplace that he has suited me for both in terms of skills and fit. The calling on our lives is awesome and much bigger than we can imagine. Through this book I want to encourage others to consider and change their lives allowing God complete access to their work life knowing that he cares about us in that sphere and requires us to be his witness as we accomplish our jobs. This book will specifically encourage women and anyone (men, also) who desires to increase their impact and demonstrate their faith in a practical way in the workplace. I share transparently with others how I walk this called out life in the workplace in the most practical ways and provide them with an opportunity to consider ways in which they could become more effective for Christ in the workplace to which God has called them to operate.

Why would God not respond when we pray from the earnestness of our hearts? What is the problem, or better yet, what is the solution? Robert Henderson believes the answer is found in where your prayer actually takes place. We must direct our prayer towards the Courts of Heaven and not only the battlefield. Robert shows that it is in the courtrooms of Heaven where our breakthroughs can be found. When you learn to operate there you will see your answers unlocked and released. This book will teach you the legal processes of Heaven and how to operate in its courts. When you get off the battlefield and into the courtroom you can grant God the legal clearance to fulfill His passion and answer your prayers.

Book excerpt: A compassionate, shame-free guide for your darkest days “A one-of-a-kind book . . . to read for yourself or give to a struggling friend or loved one without the fear that depression and suicidal thoughts will be minimized, medicalized or over-spiritualized.”—Kay Warren, cofounder of Saddleback Church What happens when loving Jesus doesn’t cure you of depression, anxiety, or suicidal thoughts? You might be crushed by shame over your mental illness, only to be told by well-meaning Christians to “choose joy” and “pray more.” So you beg God to take away the pain, but nothing eases the ache inside. As darkness lingers and color drains from your world, you’re left wondering if God has abandoned you. You just want a way out. But there’s hope. In I Love Jesus, But I Want to Die, Sarah J. Robinson offers a healthy, practical, and shame-free guide for Christians struggling with mental illness. With unflinching honesty, Sarah shares her story of battling depression and fighting to stay alive despite toxic theology that made her afraid to seek help outside the church. Pairing her own story with scriptural insights, mental health research, and simple practices, Sarah helps you reconnect with the God who is present in our deepest anguish and discover that you are worth everything it takes to get better. Beautifully written and full of hard-won wisdom, I Love Jesus, But I Want to Die offers a path toward a rich, hope-filled life in Christ, even when healing doesn’t look like what you expect.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Win the Battle for Sleep: God's Plan for Rest, Rejuvenation, and Revelation In our fast-paced world, we see sleep as "wasted time," or else we lie awake as anxiety, fear, or distractions run through our minds. That was never God's intent for the night. Without realizing it, we've handed this sacred time over to the enemy. With warmth, compassion, and keen biblical insight, counselor and speaker Faith Blatchford reveals that it's during this precious time that God imparts everything necessary for us to be equipped for the day. Without peaceful sleep at night, we are robbed mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually of the resources we need. God created the night and the dark--and he called it good. He dwells in it. The dark does not belong to the devil, so don't let the enemy steal it from you. Here are the tools you need to take back your night, to encounter the God of rest, and to sleep peacefully the whole night through. Includes a chapter on how to help your children overcome nightmares and fear of the dark.

Book excerpt: WHAT IS JESUS WORTH TO YOU? It's easy for American Christians to forget how Jesus said his followers would actually live, what their new lifestyle would actually look like. They would, he said, leave behind security, money, convenience, even family for him. They would abandon everything for the gospel. They would take up their crosses daily... BUT WHO DO YOU KNOW WHO LIVES LIKE THAT? DO YOU? In Radical, David Platt challenges you to consider with an open heart how we have manipulated the gospel to fit our cultural preferences. He shows what Jesus actually said about being his disciple--then invites you to believe and obey what you have heard. And he tells the dramatic story of what is happening as a successful" suburban church decides to get serious about the gospel according to Jesus. Finally, he urges you to join in The Radical Experiment -- a one-year journey in authentic discipleship that will transform how you live in a world that desperately needs the Good News Jesus came to bring. Book excerpt: We are not all the same. The time has come for us to honestly name the ways we are different and similar so that we can serve together in unity, grace and trust. Women in ministry experience unique challenges in their church settings which continue to hinder their vocational, professional, and personal success. Women in ministry need a trusted and comprehensive resource not only to be able to survive but to thrive in their places of call. She provides theoretical, theological, and practical frameworks and strategies for flourishing as a woman in ministry and engages critical reflection on the practice of ministry in light of current feminist theory, biblical interpretation, and experience. Covering everything from biblical arguments for and against women in the church to what not to wear, this book offers background information and tools for negotiating the many and varied issues that woman in ministry face, including leadership, the authority and office of the clergy, and structures and power in the church. A trusted and comprehensive resource for women in ministry, equipping them to thrive in their places of call, and for the men who serve alongside them. "For women in ministry, one 'a-ha' moment after another spills from the pages of this book. Decades after ordination opened for women in mainline churches, the struggle for acceptance and equality goes on. This is an important book which narrates the deep costs of sexism and imagines a new form of women's leadership rooted and grounded in authentic love and genuine hospitality. In telling the truth about persistent sexism in the church, Karoline Lewis, paradoxically, blesses her readers with hope. This hope emerges in naming the challenges for women leaders and then pointing the way forward." - Leanne Van Dyk, President and Professor of Theology, Columbia Theological Seminary, Decatur, GA

I will definitely be referring this book to all my friends and loved ones! -Kelsey S I am so absolutely in love with this book!!! Normal self help books lose my attention QUICKLY. Something, actually, everything about this book, "How Can I Win? Unlocking The Blueprint To Personal Success" awakened something within me. I am grateful for Mrs. Semone Blair-Walker. I am grateful for her being obedient and sharing her story, her life and her journey to success with the world. This book was pure confirmation for me. I almost thought I was crazy with my vision boards and affirmations because I was looking with my natural eye at my current situation verses viewing myself, my life, my business and my dreams with my spiritual eye and continuing to believe and know that my purpose, my dreams and God's will for my life were clearly within my reach. I was surely wounded in my life in several different ways and by several different individuals, this book reminds me that it is okay, I can and will be victorious even though I started out wounded as all wounds eventually heal when tended to properly. I am super excited about my future now that it has been confirmed that I am on the right path. -Alishia Clemons How Can I Win is a unique and amazing book that everyone can relate to and find ways to improve their life in multiple ways! It is much more than a self-help book. It is a blueprint for success as Semone Blair-Walker exposes her incredible personal life journey of overcoming rock bottom hardship to an abundance of success, wealth and prosperity. She walks us through her spiritual journey and describes the process in a manner that we can all relate, then offers ways to improve all aspects of our own personal journey. Semone's personal testament to love, forgiveness, struggle, kindness, spirituality and ultimately success will keep you glued to each page wanting to read more and more. I highly recommend this eye-opening personal journey, testimony and success story to friends, family and co-workers as a way for them to win in all facets of life especially those who are ready to change, fight and ultimately win in life right now! -Joseph Kelly FOR MORE INFO VISIT: howcaniwin.com and meobachi.com

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Most Christians know they should be trying to tell their friends and family about Jesus. But in a post-Christendom world, personal evangelism is viewed negatively--it's offensive, inappropriate, and insensitive. Recent studies confirm that the majority of Christians rarely evangelize, worried they might offend their family or lose their friends. In How to Talk About Jesus (Without Being That Guy), author Sam Chan equips everyday Christians who are reluctant and nervous to tell their friends about Jesus with practical, tested ways of sharing their faith in the least awkward ways possible. Drawing from over two decades of experience as an evangelist, teacher, and pastor, Chan explains why personal evangelism feels so awkward today. And utilizing recent insights from communication theory, cross-cultural ministry, and apologetics, he helps you build confidence in sharing your faith, and teaches you how to evangelize your friends and family in socially appropriate ways.
