Book excerpt: An anthology of five full-length romance novels set in the 1800s when Queen Victoria sat on the throne of England, and the rest of the western world emulated her demeanor in decorum, protocol, dress and the social graces--except for certain bold and resourceful women like those in these stories, who strayed from the fold to embrace such notions as shedding corsets and crinolines, and remaining free of a husband's control. At least that was their intention... Until love entered the picture. So slip back in time to a world of adventurous ladies who become entangled with irresistible rogues, and rugged frontiersmen, and notorious rakes, and go along with them on their bumpy rides to everlasting love. The five books included in the anthology are Colby's Child, Come Be my Love, Miss Phipps and the Cattle Baron, Perilous Pleasures and Her Master's Touch. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Life itself has no meaning. Life is an opportunity to create meaning. Meaning is not to be discovered. It has to be created. So here I choose to work with kids with diverse learning needs, when I made a connection with a student with severe autism while working with different people during college. I have enjoyed working with all the differently abled children. Although it took a while and took many trials, I was finally able to find a way to communicate with them, and this feeling is really amazing. It was and is very rewarding and also a bit challenging as you may have to try several strategies before you find one that works. One of the most important things for me as an educator is to always talk to my students about how all individuals have their strengths and areas that they find challenging. Sometimes they can express and sometimes you need to teach them how to do so. While supporting students with special needs, we need to point out and celebrate their strengths more and more often. They need to believe that everyone learns differently and sometimes it's going to take more effort or more time for them to do certain things, which is OKAY. What's important is that they learn to advocate for themselves as they get older and state when they don't understand something or ask for help when they need it.

The book is a retelling of our experiences in and out of uniform, hundreds of places we landed and the valiant soldiers and civilians we ferried. We flew the helicopters and landed in every nook and corner of the country. Then we realised that… Pilots do not steer helicopters, destiny does…

Book excerpt: “The Invisible Piper transports the reader back in time to a reality centered around tea production in India. Rikhye richly portrays both the sweetness and challenges of his awe-inspiring days working on tea estates, while weaving in the ancient history of tea and the contemporary history of the tea industry. The result is a captivating narrative of how tea shaped our global economy and culture, told through the lens of the people behind the leaves.” – Jennie Miller, PhD - Yale University, New Haven, Connecticut, USA ~~~*~~~ “England took to tea for the simple reason that London’s water was so bad it had to be boiled before it could be consumed at all. The Thames was lifeless by 1848, and by June 1858 the stench was so bad that it was ‘impossible to continue business in Parliament’. Tea literally became vital to British life and to the health of the British people. Wherever the British went, like Canada, Australia and New Zealand, they took and spread their love of tea with them. Deepak Rikhye’s poignant memoir, of his father and his experiences as an Indian planter, contains within itself an incisive analysis of the culture as well as the political economy of tea. His proposal that the tea economy be used by India and China to help make peace between themselves is both unique and important. His narrative takes the tea-drinker so deeply into the origins of the supply, to the daily, weekly and seasonal routines of a plantation that he almost manages to evoke the sprightly fragrance of a tea garden itself! This book gives a unique whiff of the whole culture of tea and all lovers of tea will love it.” – Subroto Roy, PhD (Cambridge), Economist

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I assume the reason you picked up this book is because you are bit by the bug, “One day, I will start my own business” – the Entrepreneurship bug. Well! Welcome to the club. I was bit by the bug too, a long while ago – pretty much during my college days. When I wanted to read about how to start a business, all of them were about huge successful multi-billion-dollar businesses – the Googles, Apples and Microsofts of the world. These books were pretty high-level for a newbie like me. I felt kind of like a first-grade student reading engineering textbooks. I wanted a book that will help me get to the second step. I found out that there’s not much literature in that space and so I wanted to write a book that would benefit its readers.
