Book excerpt: SCIENTIFIC THEORY OF GOD Today's world is filled with doubt or even total disbelief that God really exists. Scientists say there is no scientific evidence of a Creator, and many of us are trying to cope with what we think is a meaningless existence. We have learned to trust science, but we don't want this to be all there is, so we find hope in our religious faith. However, religion is the worship of God-not scientific proof of God-so we are caught between two very conflicting worldviews... ...and our doubts about God won't go away. What isn't realized is that-contrary to what we are taught in school-science actually does prove God's existence. Scientific Theory of God breaks down the walls between science and faith and reveals an understanding of God based on scientific proof. For the most part, the twenty-first century scientific community bases their foundation upon their claim that the universe came from nothing and that it mysteriously-and instantly-came into existence. This process is less formally known as the Big Bang theory. Most mainstream scientists would have you believe that you are an accident of nature lost in time and place without help and...without hope-purposeless! Scientific Theory of God throws off the scientific veil of confusion by researching some of the greatest minds in physics, including the theories of Sir Issac Newton, to uncover the truth: You are not an accident. You are not insignificant. You have an ultimate purpose designed just for you. Take an impactful and revolutionary look at the many convincing proofs of God's existence. Now, it is time to discover that each person is at the center of a divine heart-a dynamic and personable God. A higher Being who has not only designed the universe, but also oversees a specific reality created for each individual. Scientific Theory of God delves into the difficult questions that have been pondered by mankind for centuries regarding the universe, humanity's purpose, and God's existence. Learn how the answer has been under scientist's noses for hundreds of years, as this work delivers the scientific proofs to revolutionize the concepts of the universe, man's relationship to God, and his journeys through this life and into the next. This book has the power to change your life.

Can science retain objectivity in the search for truth while allowing for the possibility that God exists? Does it make any difference? Ariel A. Roth, scientist and Christian believer, examines key issues related to the God question: * the intricate organization of matter in the universe * the precision of the forces of physics * the complexity of the eye and the brain * the elaborate genetic code * the disparity between the fossil record and the vast amount of time necessary for evolution Faced with so much evidence that seems to require a God in order to explain what we find in nature, why does the scientific community remain silent about God? Hypotheses and speculations that attempt to fit data into a predetermined conclusion abound. What overriding influence prevents scientists from following the data of nature wherever it may lead?

Book excerpt: Does God exist? Which is true? Evolution, creation...or both? Are we no more than meaningless collisions of molecules? Or do we owe our existence to a Creator, who has willed us (and everything else) into being, and who has a plan and purpose for our lives? The Reality of God addresses these all-important questions by providing an introductory overview of key scientific evidence, philosophical reasons, and insights drawn from human nature demonstrating God’s existence. In simple, accessible language, and well-supported by scientific experts, author Steven Hemler guides the reader through the most compelling evidence for the existence of God. Hemler shows how natural sciences such as biology, chemistry and physics far from disproving religious belief suggest and reveal the existence of a Creator at every turn. Those seeking sound reasons and credible science supporting belief in God will cherish this easy-to-read book. The Reality of God provides: • An opportunity to address doubts about God’s existence • Persuasive reasons for belief • Arguments showing the compatibility of faith and reason • Answers to the evolution vs. creation debate The Reality of God puts forth in layman’s terms how science and the natural world point to God’s existence. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Throughout history, arguments for and against the existence of God have been largely confined to philosophy and theology, while science has sat on the sidelines. Despite the fact that science has revolutionized every aspect of human life and greatly clarified our understanding of the world, somehow the notion has arisen that it has nothing to say about the possibility of a supreme being, which much of humanity worships as the source of all reality. This book contends that, if God exists, some evidence for this existence should be detectable by scientific means, especially considering the central role that God is alleged to play in the operation of the universe and the lives of humans. Treating the traditional God concept, as conventionally presented in the Judeo-Christian and Islamic traditions, like any other scientific hypothesis, physicist Stenger examines all of the claims made for God's existence. He considers the latest Intelligent Design arguments as evidence of God's influence in biology. He looks at human behavior for evidence of immaterial souls and the possible effects of prayer. He discusses the findings of physics and astronomy in weighing the suggestions that the universe is the work of a creator and that humans are God's special creation. After evaluating all the scientific evidence, Stenger concludes that beyond a reasonable doubt the universe and life appear exactly as we might expect if there were no God. This paperback edition of the New York Times bestselling hardcover edition contains a new foreword by Christopher Hitchens and a postscript by the author in which he responds to reviewers' criticisms of the original edition.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In the modern age science has been winning its centuries—old battle with religion for the mind of man. The evidence has long seemed incontrovertible: Life was merely a product of blind chance—a cosmic roll of an infinite number of dice across an eternity of time. Slowly, methodically, scientists supplied answers to mysteries insufficiently explained by theologians. Reason pushed faith off into the shadows of mythology and superstition, while atheism became a badge of wisdom. Our culture, freed from moral obligation, explored the frontiers of secularism. God was dead. "Glynn's arguments for the existence of God put the burden of disproof on those intellectuals who think that the question has long since been settled." — Andrew M. Greeley But now, in the twilight of the twentieth century, a startling transformation is taking place in Western scientific and intellectual thought. At its heart is the dawning realization that the universe, far from being a sea of chaos, appears instead to be an intricately tuned mechanism whose every molecule, whose every physical law, seems to have been design from the very first nanosecond of the big bang toward a single end—the creation of life. This intellectually and spiritually riveting book asks a provocative question: Is science, the long-time nemesis of the Deity, uncovering the face of God? Patrick Glynn lays out the astonishing new evidence that caused him to turn away from the atheism he acquired as a student at Harvard and Cambridge. The facts are fascinating: Physicists are discovering an unexplainable order to the cosmos; medical researchers are reporting the extraordinary healing powers of prayer and are documenting credible accounts of near-death experiences; psychologists, who once considered belief in God to be a sign of neurosis, are finding instead that religious faith is a powerful elixir for mental health; and sociologists are now acknowledging the destructive consequences of a value-free society. God: The Evidence argues that faith today is not grounded in ignorance. It is where reason has been leading us all along.

Book excerpt: LIFE IN THIS UNIVERSE Many people try to explain why life exists here on Earth. But there's an even a deeper question that needs to be addressed: Why does life exist throughout our universe? Our universe is huge in size and has been around for 14 billion years. Other Earth-like planets with life are probably scattered all over the universe. If life thrives here on Earth, then life should thrive on other habitable planets. Science suggests that life throughout this universe appears to be very likely. There are many requirements for life to exist on another planet. But all of these requirements are common when considering how many stars there are in the entire universe. And the elements that produce life are also common throughout the universe. There has to be other Earth-like planets with life. The universe has about 100 billion galaxies that each have 100 billion stars or more. There are other stars to account for equaling about 100,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 total stars in our known universe. No one knows how much life is really out there. But there could be millions or billions of Earth-like planets in our universe right now. A UNIVERSE FULL OF LIFE If there's 1 Earth-like planet per 20 galaxies, that would equal 5 billion habitable planets right now. That's 1 habitable planet per 2 trillion stars. So this estimate of 5 billion Earth-like planets for the entire universe is definitely possible. There are no exact percentages for these requirements so this is just a rough estimate. Scientists agree with the possibility of billions or trillions of habitable Earth-like planets in our universe. It's also known that just 15 million years after the big bang, the whole universe could've been one large habitable zone as it cooled down to a livable temperature. During this period of time, microscopic life could've arisen while the entire universe was at room temperature. (Harvard University astronomer Avi Loeb) So there could've been microscopic life forms just 15 million years after the Big Bang. Therefore life could've arisen during the following 14 billion years. It's possible that plenty of life could've existed in the universe's past. (Space.com, Big Bang Theory: 5 Weird Facts About Seeing the Universe's Birth) Scientists now estimate that there are about 8 billion habitable planets in our galaxy alone. Although only a small percentage of these planets would have the other requirements for life to exist. But there are still 99,999,999,999 other galaxies in the universe to consider. Science suggests that there could be billions of Earth-like planets in our universe right now, not counting the past or future. Life probably existed somewhere else in the past, and it's likely that other Earth-like planets will form in the future. Time must be added to the equation and greatly increases the chances for life in this universe. This is a strong piece of evidence that a Creator is responsible for life throughout this universe. It can't just be a fluke of nature or the result of endless coincidences. It seems to be the result of an intentional creation. These billions of Earth-like planets make our universe seem like a deliberate creation. How can someone not draw this conclusion with so many habitable solar systems just like ours? It's not like there's just a few, there's millions of Earth-like planets with life at the very least. And that's just considering the present time right now. COINCIDENCE If you stumbled upon a parking lot full of millions of cars, would you assume that they all exist by random coincidences? Did these complex parts just happened to form on their own? Did the batteries, fluids, pistons, timing chains, transmissions, wheels, brake parts, steering wheels, and so on all just happen to exist by mere chance? That doesn't seem possible. And a car is nowhere near as complicated as life forms are.

Book excerpt: Secrets of the Bible Revealed! Have you been puzzled by these seemingly impossible events from the Bible? 1. How could the universe and everything in it have been created in seven days when the evidence suggests it took millions, if not billions of years for it to form? 2. Is it really possible that Joshua could have stopped the sun and moon on command as related in the Old Testament? Wouldn't the entire solar system collapse if that were to happen? 3. Can Heaven actually exist and, if so, just where is it? 4. At death is it reasonable to believe the human spirit can be separated from our physical bodies and be transmitted to Heaven? If so, how is this accomplished? 5. The Bible predicts that our every thought and action will be revealed in Heaven. Is this possible using existing laws of physics? 6. Could Jesus have actually appeared and then disappeared seemingly by magic as described by the Apostle John? 7. Is it reasonable to believe that time will stand still in Heaven and life can be eternal? The purpose of this book is to show how the events mentioned above may actually be possible using existing laws of science.
