Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Sparks of genuine revelation are contained in many religions and esoteric systems. Your Evolving Soul declares that we’ve been graced with a new revelation for our time: the little-known Urantia Book, which has quietly sold over one million copies in a dozen languages. According to the author of this comparative analysis, the disclosures about self, soul, and spirit in the Urantia Revelation stand alone in their coherence and richness of detail. Your Evolving Soul is the first book to fully explain this advanced teaching for the ordinary reader, offering clarity and inspiration for those on any path. Belitsos compares the Urantia Book’s futuristic teachings about the threefold design of the human self-system to the models of selfhood proposed by many previous thinkers, ranging from from Plato and Saint Augustine to Carl Jung and Ken Wilber. He provides essential context for this discussion by illumining the relationship of the Urantia text to scientific psychology and to the world’s religions, with special emphasis on Christianity and Buddhism. Your Evolving Soul also provides an introduction to the cosmology, theology, and philosophy of the Urantia teaching, and reveals its many affinities with contemporary integral theory and modern theology. Through his lucid interpretation of the Urantia Revelation, the author offers a model of the human self and soul to be tested, examined, and compared—not a finished truth to be accepted as doctrine. Readers of this book will discover a plausible hypothesis of how our evolving soul becomes an immortal vehicle of our true identity. They also learn how our soul-making decisions can lead to the development of a creative, loving, unified, and perfected personality, now and into the afterlife.

Book excerpt: The Evolving Soul is dedicated to the notion that we are all on a path of spiritual evolution and that we are meant to become highly evolved super-beings. It is not about the idea of a far-off concept such as heaven, but involves our capacity to live in a state of complete peace and harmony while living in this increasingly busy world. It is about how the Universe is teaching us to evolve every day. This book also explores the varying levels of spiritual growth through which we all progress, moving from resistance to tolerance, and eventually into full acceptance. It also examines how these varying states of evolution relate to relationships, ego, hidden issues, inner decisions, true happiness, and unconditional love. The Evolving Soul is designed as a guide toward the highly evolved path of finding true peace amidst the chaos. Through simple hands-on principles, it offers meaningful guidance toward a greater awareness of how life is trying to teach us to find this extraordinary state of being.

Your Evolving Soul is the first book to explain this advanced teaching for the ordinary reader, while also comparing Urantia teachings on soul evolution to other accounts of the soul in philosophy and the wisdom traditions, utilizing as an analytical tool the integral theories of philosopher Ken Wilber. Belitsos depicts the human soul as a species of the higher mind that is quintessentially evolutionary and experiential -a sacred vehicle of personal identity and immortality that contributes something crucial to cosmic evolution. Through his interpretation of the Urantia material, the author offers a model of the human soul to be tested, examined, and compared - not as a finished truth to be accepted as doctrine.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A new theory about the origins of consciousness that finds learning to be the driving force in the evolutionary transition to basic consciousness. What marked the evolutionary transition from organisms that lacked consciousness to those with consciousness—to minimal subjective experiencing, or, as Aristotle described it, “the sensitive soul”? In this book, Simona Ginsburg and Eva Jablonka propose a new theory about the origin of consciousness that finds learning to be the driving force in the transition to basic consciousness. Using a methodology similar to that used by scientists when they identified the transition from non-life to life, Ginsburg and Jablonka suggest a set of criteria, identify a marker for the transition to minimal consciousness, and explore the far-reaching biological, psychological, and philosophical implications. After presenting the historical, neurobiological, and philosophical foundations of their analysis, Ginsburg and Jablonka propose that the evolutionary marker of basic or minimal consciousness is a complex form of associative learning, which they term unlimited associative learning (UAL). UAL enables an organism to ascribe motivational value to a novel, compound, non-reflex-inducing stimulus or action, and use it as the basis for future learning. Associative learning, Ginsburg and Jablonka argue, drove the Cambrian explosion and its massive diversification of organisms. Finally, Ginsburg and Jablonka propose symbolic language as a similar type of marker for the evolutionary transition to human rationality—to Aristotle's “rational soul.”

Book excerpt: As the clock ticks to each second that is passing, as the snowflakes blow in front of us by the thousands, and as the motion on the planet never stops moving, there is something we can hear ? not with our ears but with our soul. It is the silent, yet never silent hum of what we are coming to know as the new humanity. This highly vibrating hum is very faint, but it is there; it calls to all souls who are ready to pioneer into the next phase of the human. When we are ready to hear it, it comes to us softly, like a newborn bird breaking free from its egg ? very humbly, very quietly, simply opening to be born. From there, the great birth of the ready-soul is carried by this pristine Divine hum, vibrating past the clock ticking, past the snowflakes, and past the never ceasing motion to find the center point where the hum itself was originally birthed. Are you one of the soul-ready pioneers that hear the highly exquisite hum? Are you brave enough to enter into the great birth of being led to the center point of that hum? This unique book offers deep insights into the next progressive phase where humanity is attempting to move. It comes equipped with essential keys to evolve into this phase, enabling the soul to become lit as the torch of the Divine Human. ?My heart's desire is to assist those who are willing to move past fear and illusion into their true core essence. My life's purpose is to awaken the soul's wisdom and help connect you to the Divine Light of All That Is.' -- Josie Hopkins

Book excerpt: There are well over one hundred different views of the nature of human existence; though the Bible may rule out many of these, there still remains a large number that are all compatible with Scripture. The Bible never explicitly defines the nature of the soul or spirit, which is actually quite puzzling or even ironic, given that one major aim of Scripture is spiritual development and ultimate questions about the soul. In fact, Judeo-Christian thinking on those questions has been evolving over the course of four thousand years. This book documents that evolution as a man named Abram left Babylon four thousand years ago, journeying through the lands and the philosophies of civilizations preceding him by many more thousands of years, while he and his descendants (both physical and spiritual) unpacked their understanding of our inner being—the human soul—and the afterlife. That journey is followed to the present day, and examines how a critically thinking Christian can embrace a theology of the human soul that is fully compatible with modern scientific findings, including explanations for consciousness, mind, and soul.

Book excerpt: A step-by-step guide to creating a sustainable global shift in consciousness starting with an inner-world shift at the personal level • Provides psychological and spiritual exercises to heal deep trauma imprints, raise your vibration, and realign with your soul’s higher purpose • Identifies the signs and symptoms of the 12 stages of ascension as we approach the global spiritual awakening of 2012 • Offers an in-depth overview of 2012 prophecies foretelling of humanity’s arrival at a point of no return on the Winter Solstice of 2012 as well as guidance in preparing for the New World prophesied to emerge in 2013 According to ancient Mayan prophecy, December 21, 2012, marks the moment of humanity’s rise or fall. Our “rise” depends on higher consciousness and raised vibration as well as the expanded awareness of a critical mass of people. As humanity enters the evolutionary transition from Homo sapiens to Homo luminous--from 3rd-dimensional human beings to 5th-dimensional beings of light--we are being called to fully participate in the dawn of a New World built upon unconditional love, co-support, cooperation, equality, unity, peace, justice, and sustainability. Sounding the clarion call for a global shift in consciousness starting at a personal level, Nicolya Christi presents a step-by-step guide to healing and transforming your inner world--an essential step toward co-creating a world shift as we head toward the tipping point of 2012. She offers core psychological insights and exercises, spiritual teachings, guided visualizations, and a concise overview of the spiritual and astronomical events surrounding 2012, as well as identifying the signs and symptoms of the 12 different stages of ascension, a process that millions are currently experiencing as we approach the global spiritual awakening of 2012. She explains how to clear past-life, ancestral, and current trauma imprints lodged within your energy field to accelerate the process of conscious evolution and ascension. Revealing that many people chose to reincarnate in this lifetime as “midwives” to help birth the New World, this book provides a way to rediscover your soul’s higher purpose, thus serving your own evolutionary journey as well as that of the Earth.

It initiates a radical shift at the core of contemporary psychological thought by unveiling a technology for using everyday life experiences as rungs on the ladder of spiritual evolution. This book is uniquely suited for anyone seeking to discover and cross the bridge that spans the waters between life referenced in material reality and life lived within the context of spiritual reality. Loyalty to Your Soul shows you how to first gain access to, and then gradually learn to live from, that sacred place inherent within everyone referred to by the authors as the Authentic Self—a place where emotional suffering ceases and profound peace and love are present. While many people have written about such an inner state, Ron and Mary Hulnick show you how to travel there . . .and what to anticipate once you arrive. The radical technology they introduce empowers readers to transform challenging or negative human experiences into direct experiences of the Soul.

Drawing on Edgar Cayce’s extraordinary vision of cosmic evolution and a stream of spiritual inquiry that places humankind in the context of a developing universe, author Lynn Sparrow Christy makes a thought-provoking case for incarnation as a unique opportunity to bring consciousness into matter and the affairs of the world. Bringing decades of experience and spiritual study together, she articulates the unique path of the co-creator—one who serves as an intentional agent of evolution in the midst of the challenges we face, both personally and collectively.
