Book excerpt: "Yielding To God's Clarion Call" is a tremendous project that I taught in one of the Schools of the Prophets. Understanding God's desire for us to yield to the call on our lives and what He desires to see in the earth in this hour mandated me to begin writing on this subject. I understand why things have happened to us as Prophets, prophetic people and Christians at large. "Something Has to Happen to You" was one of the chapters that I think was life changing for many as they heard and read the pages. The real question is "Why did you have to go through what you went through during the time of your development into what God was making out of you?" I don't know a prophet yet that did not have to eventually embrace what God has deposited in them. The chapter "Embracing The Prophet in You" was birthed out of that idea. Here you are with all of these dreams, visions, and God encounters, hearing things that later manifest, and you don't know who to talk to about it. Well, that provoked me to write on this subject. Let me be the first to tell you, "You are not crazy, but you are very prophetic." When we talk about "A Glimpse of Heaven," how, in the Book of Revelation, could the Apostle John convey what he was seeing and not be called crazy? Often times when you hear or see something the majority does not see you are sometimes put in the weird category. You are not weird, just wired differently. All Prophets and prophetic people are wired differently than "normal people," the masses, if you will. This book certainly is a must have for those that desire to grow to another level in the things of God. Get this book and never be the same again. You will understand not only whom you are, but you will also come to understand, Generation X and Y. You cannot do without "Yielding To God's Clarion Call" in your library.

Book excerpt: The Reformation marked a period of profound upheaval - one of the greatest turning points in the history of Christianity - and sent shock waves through the western world. In this book, Andrew Atherstone traces the dramatic and compelling story from the Renaissance to the sixteenth-century wars of religion, following the action from its beginnings in Germany, through Switzerland, France, Italy, England, Scotland, and the Netherlands. Focusing on the key personalities and events, he explains the often complex ideas that were at stake, and the political as well as religious issues involved. This is a lucid, authoritative account of a movement that changed the face of Europe forever. The great figures, such as Martin Luther and John Calvin, are brought vividly to life in an accessible, lively and engaging overview of this critical period.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book shows that theology is both integrally related to formation in Jesus Christ and shapes our understanding of the world. Christian formation is incomplete and impossible without theological formation, because Christ transforms our hearts and minds, attuning them to the reality of God. As the authors explore the deep connections between theology and the life of the Christian, they emphasize Christian formation as a defining feature of the church, arguing that theology must be integrally connected to the church's traditions and practices.

Book excerpt: This commentary of Galatians is a thorough examination of the text of the letter by Mark J. Keown. It includes an introduction to the letter and a verse by verse analysis of Paul’s letter. It is designed to be a readable, thorough exploration of Galatians without being overly laden with engagement with secondary literature. The Greek of Galatians is transliterated throughout the commentary, including in the translations, making the Greek accessible to all readers. The real emphasis is engagement with the text, the meaning of the Greek, especially in regards to primary sources, and the flow of Paul’s argument against the Judaizers challenging his churches. Yet, as is usual in Mark Keown’s work, it is all presented in an easily understandable and readable way. At points, the author pauses to share a personal story or two, adding flavor to the commentary. While it is comprehensive and thorough, It is ideal for preachers who are looking to really grapple with the meaning of Galatians for Christians today. Special emphasis is given to Paul’s summons in the letter that readers live by faith and not works and embrace God’s call in the gospel to lay aside all forms of prejudice under God’s reign. In the discussion of Galatians 5, in-depth consideration is given to the ethical issues it raises, a helpful tool for Christians grappling with how to live by the Spirit in a twenty-first-century world full of challenges.

As I stood there sobbing, I felt something the consistency of liquid being poured over my head again and again. It ran down the entire length of my body. My knees buckled and I fell to the floor from the weight of it. With each pour I felt a love for my father that was so big and powerful that I actually felt my body would burst. This was not a natural love; it was far greater. As this "liquid" was being poured upon me, I became aware of a powerful presence in the room. Then I heard the Lord say to me, "I had to anoint you so that you could feel just a little of the love I have for your father."

Book excerpt: A Trumpet Call To Believers to gather together due to A Clarion Call To Righteousness. The world and the church were both affected by the shift to the plan of the Holy Roman Empire to become the global empire. When Roman Emperor Constantine was given credit for legalizing Christianity, he actually removed believers from the true worship established by the Father and confirmed when his SON, The Messiah, Jesus Christ, Yeshua Hamashiach walked the earth. He declared he only does what he sees the Father do and says what he hears the Father say and we were to do likewise. To worship in truth, in righteousness, we are to worship the Feasts and Festivals our Father confirmed and his SON honored.

Book excerpt: The Part-2 of this multi-part series opens at the heights of the tensions of the Cold War years, in form, of the diplomatic cacophony and chaos that followed the capture of Gary Powers, the U-2 pilot, during one of the U-2 overflights over Soviet Union which brought the U.S. manned aerial surveillance program in public domain followed by the nuclear flash point of the Cuba Missile Crisis of 1962. From the heights of Cold War tensions the action moves to the depths of the oceans and takes a deep dive into the loss of two U.S. nuclear-powered submarines to the ocean floor through the 1960s decade. The ban on atmospheric nuclear testing and expansion of the nuclear club, following the addition of France and China to it overtly along with Israel’s covert ingress, come next on the radar followed by the Limited Test Ban Treaty of 1963 which saved the world from the atmospheric testing of nuclear weapons while also effectively limiting the scope of the nuclear arms race between the two superpowers from going towards very high-yield thermonuclear weapons. The commercialization of nuclear power and the seminal Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) of 1968 were the other major highlights of the extraordinary decade of 1960-1970.
