Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: God created you just way He wants you to be, and He loves you. But "Like sheep, we have all wondered away." (Isaiah 53:6, Genesis 1:31, John 16:27)God wants you to return to Him. And this invitation is open to anyone, (whosoever) no matter what they have done in the past.Rom 10:11, "For the Scripture says, "Whosoever is trusting on Him will not be put to shame."" (Isaiah 28:16, John 3:16)The only thing He requires of you, up front, is to recognize your need for God, and His solution.Matthew 5:3, "Happy are those who recognize that they are spiritually deficient, because that is the first step to the Kingdom of Heaven."If you don't think you have a problem, you will not come to God for His solution. (Mat 9:12)What did Yeshua* teach and model to His disciples?Yeshua gathered 12 disciples and instructed them for 3 years. (Mt 4:19, 8:22, 9:9 16:24, 19:21, etc.) During the first year He traveled with them personally instructing them primarily by example. They in turn were sent out in 6 teams of twos to disciple others. (Mt 10, Mark 6:7) Later there were 72 disciples, which is exactly 6 new congregations of 12 disciples. (Luke 10:1) They were to multiply using the pattern, or path, that Yeshua taught them. (Philip 3:16) Yeshua said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all Gentiles, immersing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to guard everything I have commanded you. And surely I will be with you always." (Mt 28:18-20) This booklet shares the Path of Yeshua in its most basic form. His Path is taken from the Scripture, mostly Paul's Letters and is very different from the modern church or synagogue model. This book covers Romans through Timothy, which takes you up to Apostle Level, the same stuff that Yeshua taught His Disciples to transform them into Apostles.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: How can we transmit a living, personal Catholic faith to future generations? By coming to know Jesus Christ, and following him as his disciples. These are times of immense challenge and immense opportunity for the Catholic Church. Consider these statistics for the United States. Only 30 percent of Americans who were raised Catholic are still practicing. Fully 10 percent of all adults in America are ex-Catholics. The number of marriages celebrated in the Church decreased dramatically, by nearly 60 percent, between 1972 and 2010. Only 60 percent of Catholics believe in a personal God. If the Church is to reverse these trends, the evangelizers must first be evangelized-in other words, Catholics-in-the-pew must make a conscious choice to know and follow Jesus before they can draw others to him. This work of discipleship lies at the heart of Forming Intentional Disciples, a book designed to help Church leaders, parish staff and all Catholics transform parish life from within. Drawing upon her fifteen years of experience with the Catherine of Siena Institute, Sherry Weddell leads readers through steps that will help Catholics enter more deeply into a relationship with God and the river of apostolic creativity, charisms, and vocation that flow from that relationship for the sake of the Church and the world. Learn about the five thresholds of postmodern conversion, how to open a conversation about faith and belief, how to ask thought-provoking questions and establish an atmosphere of trust, when to tell the Great Story of Jesus, how to help someone respond to God's call to intentional discipleship, and much more. And be prepared for conversion because when life at the parish level changes, the life of the whole Church will change.

What we do with Jesus MATTERS. Global ministry trainer Dann Spader practically and helpfully walks us through 10 weeks of exciting, ministry-altering study to really begin to walk as Jesus walked.

Book excerpt: Scripture makes it clear that when a person receives Christ as Savior and Lord, he or she is a new creation; the old is literally gone, and something entirely new has taken its place. Accepting Jesus' call to discipleship represents a foundational change in a disciple's identity, meaning, and purpose-as well as the way a disciple understands the world. The Call answers the question "Who am I as a disciple of Christ?" It begins by exploring who Jesus really is before walking through the priorities of a disciple, the cost of a disciple, and the fruit of a disciple. Far too often we neglect to teach that following Christ is costly. True discipleship could end up costing everything, but it is worth that and more. Like all the releases in the Disciples Path series. The Call uses teaching, questions, conversation, exercise, and individual study to facilitate transformational discipleship. As you work through this story, you will: Gain a greater understanding of discipleship by examining the way Jesus discipled. Understand the lordship of Jesus and a greater sense of identity in Christ. Realize how a disciple interacts with and responds to the world. Learn key biblical passages addressing what it means to follow Jesus. Know the cost and true value of following Jesus. Disciples Path is a series of resources founded on Jesus' model of discipleship. Created by experienced disciple-makers across the nation, it offers an intentional pathway for transformation discipleship and a way to help followers of Christ move from new disciples to mature disciple-makers. Book excerpt: The Walking with God series was developed as the curriculum for small groups at Willow Creek Community Church in South Barrington, Illinois. Since its release in 1992, it has been used by churches and small groups to help raise up devoted disciples of Christ. Group members who work through the program will lay a solid foundation for a lifelong walk with God. While small groups may be formed for a variety of purposes, the goal of this curriculum is for groups to produce disciples—fully devoted followers of Christ—by studying God’s Word in community. To this end, the goal of the study is to produce disciples who walk with God, have a personal relationship with Jesus, and live in step with the Holy Spirit. It is also to produce believers who live the Word in all areas of life and contribute to the work that God is doing in the local church. Ultimately, the goal is to develop believers who impact the world and are prepared and eager to spread the good news of Christ to others. This material will help develop these attributes in group members. Each lesson includes group Bible study and discussion questions in addition to devotions, reflections, and personal study for use by individuals between the group sessions.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book explores in depth six Gospel scenes so as to discover in these the essential elements of Christian discipleship. It describes the basic requirements for receiving the Word of God effectively in our hearts: namely, that we "become wet clay in God's hands", so that God can impress upon us any form he chooses. It also contemplates the vital position of the Mother of the Lord in the life of his disciples. The author shows that the call to discipleship is above all an invitation to intimate companionship with Jesus, as we read in Mark: "Jesus called to him those whom he desired... in order that they might be with him" (3:14-15). What we normally call the "active apostolate" can never be an end in itself, but only the fruits of a life of prayer and adoration. These are what must be at the heart of a disciple's life, which can never be swept up by mere activism.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What is our purpose in life? "You are supposed to be the light of the world. Nobody puts a lamp under a basket. Your purpose is to bring others out of darkness by showing God in your good works." (Mt 5:15-16) "Hear, O Yisrael: YHUH is our God YHUH is One: And you shall love YHUH your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your passion. And these words, which I command you this day, shall be in your heart: And you shall teach them diligently unto your sons, and shall speak in them when you sit in your house, and when you walk in the path, and when you lie down, and when you rise up." (Deuteronomy 6:4-7) "Yeshua's Path: Vol. 1" is the first book in this five part series that covers the Gospel of Romans. It is the foundation of this course that Yeshua taught His disciples. This fourth volume continues with Paul's letters, covering Galatians through II Thessalonians, for those who have already come into relationship with God by the 7 foundational Steps of Messiah found in Romans and explained in Vol. 1 and have studied Vol. 2 on the Congregation. Vol. 3 covers Hebrews and Torah which is concurrent study with this Path study. What does the Bible really say about how to get eternal life? Did Yeshua really mean that we should follow the Law of Moses? (Matthew 5) How did Yeshua teach his disciples to live Righteously? Does Paul agree with Yeshua that we are supposed to live righteously according to the Law of Moses? Is there a passage in the Scripture that provides the whole Gospel with all its details, or must we pick and choose verses from all over the Bible to understand the Gospel? This book uses the Book of Romans to explain the whole Gospel. It documents from Scripture the Grace process of salvation that includes living righteously according to the Law. It will require the reader to question a lot of preconceived ideas and provides alternative theories with logical and Scriptural documentation. Are you willing to honestly research the Scripture concerning this most vital topic of eternal life? When you get to the judgment, can you say that you lived according to what you understood the Scripture to say after honestly researching it in depth for yourself? Or do you want to tell the Judge that you were doing what some dude told you? Whether you agree or disagree, you should be able to say that you honestly studied it and are standing solidly on what the Bible says. What is the Scriptural Path to eternal Life? What did Yeshua* teach to His disciples during his three-year ministry? This is an in depth syllabus for Messiah's three year discipling course. It is taken directly from Paul's letters, where the course is written down for us. The purpose of this book is to explain the many cultural misinterpretations of Paul's letters, to show that what He taught is no different than what Messiah and all the previous prophets taught. (Romans 1:1-2) Overcoming this cultural obstacle makes the direct study of the Bible practical for today's disciple. *(Yeshua is the original Hebrew name of Jesus. It means 'Salvation.' See Glossary and Appendix 4, the Name of the Lord.)
