Man muss natürlich auf die immer älter werdende Bevölkerung reagieren. Der Druck in den Unternehmen wird größer und die Bezahlung im Verhältnis der Inflation schlechter Fachkräfte sind schon heute Mangelware. Es muss überlegt werden, wie die Mitarbeiter gesund zu erhalten und an das Unternehmen zu binden sind. Dem gegenüber stehen die Mitarbeiter, die nach mehr Lebensqualität streben. Der Wunsch nach Selbstverwirklichung, Ausgeglichenheit sowie sich selbst zu belohnen für die geleistete Arbeit steht im Vordergrund, denn für die meisten Menschen sind nach einem 8-Stunden-Arbeitstag, ohne Fahrtzeit, die täglichen Verpflichtungen noch lange nicht vorüber. Der Ruf nach mehr Zeit für und mit der Familie wird lauter. Doch dieses Mehr an Freizeit muss auch leistbar sein, denn oft geht ein Verzicht an Arbeitszeit auch mit einem Verzicht an finanziellen Mitteln einher. Somit wird das Spannungsfeld immer größer und es müssen Strategien und Konzepte entwickelt werden, wie der Spagat auf Unternehmensseite wie Mitarbeiterseite zu schaffen ist, um die Bedürfnisse auf beiden Seiten zu befriedigen. Die Gefahr eines „Burnouts“ ist bei diesem Idealziel natürlich groß. Diese Projektarbeit soll die Hintergründe, Möglichkeiten und die Kosten und Nutzen der Work Life Balance Maßnahmen aufzeigen. Ist ein Work-Life-Balance Konzept wirklich wirksam umsetzbar oder nur ein Marketinginstrument? Welche Auswirkungen hat dies auf die Produktivität und Kostenstruktur auf die Unternehmen?
