This book is unique in that it is written in Almighty God's first person Voice speaking directly to you. I did not editorialize what He spoke. What is written is not recorded as a report of facts but issues from an intimate daily walk with The Lord Heart to heart and at times Face to face. I wrote exactly the way He spoke because He instructed me to do this in order to convey His Heart and His Truth. Living God wants His Voice to be heard above all the voices vying for attention. World circumstances are dictating that a vital change of mental intake is needed to enhance people's lives. There are people today who are tired of "the same old, same old" and so are ready to hear a fresh Voice speaking TRUTH rather than lies and negative words. What is written in this book is TRUTH from God's Heart of Love that will uplift and encourage you to know in TRUTH that He hears your heart cries to Him and He is personally responding. This book is for those of any age who truly want to know Truth. Truth is a person. His Name is Jesus Christ - Yeshua Ha'Mashiach - Who lives forevermore.
Book Synopsis Philosophy of the Name by : Sergii Bulgakov
Download or read book Philosophy of the Name written by Sergii Bulgakov and published by Cornell University Press. This book was released on 2022-10-15 with total page 359 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is the first English translation, by Thomas Allan Smith, of Philosophy of the Name (Filosofiia imeni). Sergii Bulgakov (1871–1944) wrote the book in response to a theological controversy that erupted in Russia just before the outbreak of World War I. Bulgakov develops a philosophy of language that aims to justify the truthfulness of the statement "the Name of God is God himself," a claim provoking debate on the meaning of names, and the Name of God in particular. Philosophy of the Name investigates the nature of words and human language, considers grammar and parts of speech, and concludes with an exposition on the Name of God. Name-glorifying, a spiritual movement connected with the Orthodox practice of the Jesus Prayer, was initially censured by the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church, and the controversy raised profound questions that continue to vex ecclesiastical authorities and theologians today. The controversy exposed a vital question concerning the ability of human language to express experiences of the Divine truthfully and authentically. Bulgakov examines the idea that humans do not create words, rather, objects speak their word to human beings, and words are the incarnation of thought in a sonic body conveying meaning. Philosophy of the Name offers a philosophy of language for contemporary theologians of all confessions who wrestle with the issue of language and God. It is a persuasive apologia for the mysterious power of words and an appeal to make use of words responsibly not only when speaking about God but equally when communicating with others.
Book Synopsis Icons and the Name of God by : Sergiĭ Bulgakov
Download or read book Icons and the Name of God written by Sergiĭ Bulgakov and published by Wm. B. Eerdmans Publishing. This book was released on 2012-02-27 with total page 193 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In Orthodox theology both the icon and the name of God transmit divine energies, theophanies, or revelations that imprint God's image within us. In Icons and the Name of God renowned Orthodox theologian Sergius Bulgakov explains the theology behind the Orthodox veneration of icons and the glorification of the name of God. In the process Bulgakov covers two major controversies -- the iconoclastic controversy (sixth to eighth centuries) and the "Name of God" controversy (early twentieth century) -- and explains his belief that an icon stops being merely a religious painting and becomes sacred when it is named. This translation of two essays "The Icon and Its Veneration" and "The Name of God" -- available in English for the first time -- makes Bulgakov's rich thinking on these key theological concepts available to a wider audience than ever before.

Book Synopsis Seeing and Savoring Jesus Christ (Revised Edition) by : John Piper
Download or read book Seeing and Savoring Jesus Christ (Revised Edition) written by John Piper and published by Crossway. This book was released on 2004-10-27 with total page 130 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Who is Jesus Christ? You've never met him in person, and you don't know anyone who has. But there is a way to know who he is. How? Jesus Christ-the divine Person revealed in the Bible-has a unique excellence and a spiritual beauty that speaks directly to our souls and says, "Yes, this is truth." It's like seeing the sun and knowing that it is light, or tasting honey and knowing that it is sweet. The depth and complexity of Jesus shatter our simple mental frameworks. He baffled proud scribes with his wisdom but was understood and loved by children. He calmed a raging storm with a word but would not get himself down from the cross. Look at the Jesus of the Bible. Keep your eyes open, and fill them with the portrait of Jesus in God's Word. Jesus said, "If anyone's will is to do God's will, he will know whether the teaching is from God or whether I am speaking on my own authority." Ask God for the grace to do his will, and you will see the truth of his Son. John Piper has written this book in the hope that all will see Jesus for who he really is and will come to enjoy him above all else.

Book Synopsis The Man Who Rediscovered God by : Martin Luther
Download or read book The Man Who Rediscovered God written by Martin Luther and published by Strelbytskyy Multimedia Publishing. This book was released on 2021-01-08 with total page 4269 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Martin Luther. The Man Who Rediscovered God: Complete Works by Martin Luther Theological Works, Sermons & Hymns: The Ninety-five Theses, The Bondage of the Will, A Treatise on Christian Liberty, Prayers, Hymns, Letters and many more Martin Luther’s theology is based on the Bible and not on dogmas. Referring to Paul’s Epistle to the Romans, he claims that salvation is given through God’s grace and not through deeds. It was adopted by Lutheran Churches, and also by the other Reformed Churches, in principle. Martin Luther was German theologian, professor, pastor, and church reformer. Luther began the Protestant Reformation with the publication of his Ninety-Five Theses on October 31, 1517. In this publication, he attacked the Church’s sale of indulgences. He advocated a theology that rested on God’s gracious activity in Jesus Christ, rather than in human works. Nearly all Protestants trace their history back to Luther in one way or another. Luther’s relationship to philosophy is complex and should not be judged only by his famous statement that “reason is the devil’s whore.”
