Es handelt sich um Kinder, die auf sich alleine gestellt sind, Verantwortung für Elternteile oder Geschwister übernehmen müssen und manchmal ums nackte Überleben kämpfen müssen und das in einem Raum, der für Kinder Schutz, Zuneigung und Liebe bedeuten sollte. Die Familie ist das Wichtigste was es für ein Kind gibt, etwas was immer da sein sollte und Halt bietet in Situationen, die für das Kind im Laufe seiner Entwicklung schwierig und neu sind. Die vorliegende Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit dem Thema "Häusliche Gewalt und Beeinträchtigungen kindlicher Entwicklung“ und der damit verbundenen Frage, wie sich verschiedene Formen häuslicher Gewalt und Misshandlung auf den Entwicklungsverlauf und die Gesundheit des Kindes auswirken. Das Thema Gewalt und gerade die sexuelle Kindesmisshandlung ist ein Thema, bei dem häufig weg geschaut wird. Ein Tabuthema, bei dem es doch so wichtig wäre hinzuschauen und einzugreifen. Die Aufklärung und Auseinandersetzung mit diesem Thema ist von so großer Bedeutung, weshalb ich mich für dieses Thema in meiner Hausarbeit entschieden habe. Mein Ziel in dieser Arbeit ist die Aufklärung über ein Thema, welches für die betroffenen Kinder von unendlicher Grausamkeit ist. Und auch ein gewisses Verständnis für die Vorerfahrungen der Eltern soll in dieser Arbeit zum Ausdruck kommen, um zu verdeutlichen, dass es wenig Sinn hat, die Schuld nur in den Taten der Eltern zu suchen und diese dafür zu verurteilen. Es soll vielmehr eine Übersicht sein, die Wege aufzeigt, betroffenen Opfern, Tätern und auch Beteiligten zu helfen. Ich möchte zeigen, dass jeder etwas tun kann, wenn er die Augen nicht verschließt. Aus eigener Erfahrung kann ich sagen, dass die schlimmsten Dinge häufig in direkter Nähe geschehen und die Überforderung groß ist bei der Frage „Was tue ich nun?“ und „sollte ich überhaupt eingreifen?“

Doch dies entspricht leider nicht der Realität aller Kinder und viele Kinder erleben Familie als ein soziales Gebilde, das von Gewalt, Vernachlässigung und Lieblosigkeit geprägt ist. Die Tatsache ist, dass unzählige Kinder Gewalt in der Familie miterleben und zum Opfer häuslicher Gewalt werden. Plötzlich wird die Institution Familie zu einem Ort der Angst, an dem kein Schutz für das Kind mehr zu finden ist, was gravierende Auswirkungen hat. Viele Menschen denken zuerst an die Gewalt in Partnerschaften erwachsener Personen, insbesondere die Gewalt gegen Frauen durch ihre männlichen Partner, wenn sie an häusliche Gewalt denken. Jedoch findet innerfamiliale Gewalt auch in anderen Beziehungskonstellationen statt. Häusliche Gewalt umfasst hauptsächlich zwei Arten von Gewalt: die Gewalt zwischen Beziehungspartnern und die generationsübergreifende Gewalt, zu der es im Allgemeinen zwischen Eltern und Kindern kommt. Insbesondere Kinder werden Opfer von familialer Gewalt und dennoch oft als Opfer vergessen.
