Download or read book Coming Home written by Vernon Robinson and published by Humanix Books. This book was released on 2020-01-07 with total page 203 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: No one would ever argue that America has not had deep, ugly flaws, slavery and segregation being by far the most notable. But, thanks to great leaders like Abraham Lincoln and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Americans bled and died to bring such hideous tragedies to an end. Today, conservative activists Vernon Robinson and Bruce Eberle see a new threat the American republic – the radical left. The once great Democratic Party has been hijacked by radical leftists who spurn traditional American values, and seek to impose cradle to grave government control over our lives. Coming Home is not about just resisting these radicals, but triumphing over them – with a landslide victory for Donald Trump. Why are the authors of this book so certain that Donald Trump can route the radical left in 2020? The answer is a secret that they learned from the 2016 presidential campaign: black Americans not only gave Donald Trump his margin of victory in Pennsylvania, but they also did the same thing in the key state of Michigan. In reality, it was black Americans who made the election of President Trump possible. Tracing the historic events that caused black American disenfranchisement from the GOP, Coming Home also provides a strategic roadmap to persuading a crucial 20% or more of black Americans to vote for Donald Trump in 2020 – and ensure a second term.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: IntroductionDonald Trump once said he was troubled by President Obama's high standing among African Americans, suggesting he probably wouldn't get support from Black voters that he believes he deserves. "I have a great relationship with the Blacks. I've always had a great relationship with the Blacks," Trump said on Talk 1300 AM radio in Albany, N.Y.Trump was considering running for President in 2012. He was responding to host Fred Dicker's reference to a recent Quinnipiac Poll showing Obama enjoys strong support from African Americans in New York State. That survey showed 95% of Blacks in New York backing Obama. The Real Estate mogul said the numbers were "frightening." Maybe if Trump runs and win in 2016 he might be a blessing for the Black race. It's understanding why Obama is so popular among Blacks. He is the first person with African blood in him to become President. That is the number one reason he is so popular with African Americans. He can't make life better for them because he can't dictate to them on what they must do. Obama only showed them, no matter what your background you can become President of the United States. In Foreign Policy, Obama ordered U.S. Military intervention in Iraq in response to gains made by the Islamic State after the 2011 withdrawal from Iraq, he continued the process of ending U.S. Combat Operations in Afghanistan and normalizing U.S. Relations with Cuba. Also, he is getting a Nuclear Ban Treaty with Iran.Maybe Donald Trump, if he become President will motivate young Blacks to be productive, obey the Law, be honest and blame no one and achieve their full potential goal in life. Obama has his hands full with other pressing issues than to motivate Blacks. Trump is about business and Blacks must contribute to this Society if they want to be successful. The Jury is still out on Trump. I am willing to give him a chance. Our Country is on a downhill decline. Maybe Trump will make America great again.Therlee Gipson

Book Synopsis Nothing to Lose, Everything to Gain by : Kathy Barnette
Download or read book Nothing to Lose, Everything to Gain written by Kathy Barnette and published by Center Street. This book was released on 2020-02-04 with total page 235 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Conservative political commentator Kathy Barnette shares how liberal leadership has failed the black community and how being a democrat is not synonymous with your skin color. During his first historic run for the presidency in 2016, Donald Trump made an impassioned plea to the black community. "Give me a chance," he said. "What the hell do you have to lose?" According to Kathy Barnette, black Americans have nothing to lose, except for crime ridden communities, neighborhoods that have become shooting galleries, more social welfare programs, and the mocking indifference of the Democrat party. Barnette argues that even a cursory look into the black community reveals the destabilizing effect liberal policies have had on the black family. There was a time when Barnette bought into the same lie as everyone else-that if you're black, you must be a democrat. In fact, she was born into the Democrat party just as much as she was born into brown skin. There was no point of separation. Until she began to understand what it truly means to be black in America. Barnette contends that being black is more than just the color of her skin. It's a culture and a consciousness, too. In NOTHING TO LOSE, EVERYTHING TO GAIN, Barnette writes about why liberal policies have failed the black community time and time again - and will fail the larger American community as Democrats rush to the hard Left of the party. From the "Great Society" to Kanye West's ongoing war with the liberal establishment, this book provides sharp, eloquent commentary on the most pressing issues facing black Americans today: broken family structure, loss of identity, the legacy of slavery, and more. Barnette argues that President Trump has not been willing to presume that the "black vote" is a foregone conclusion resting comfortably in the back pockets of Democrats. With his plainspoken style and willingness to face harsh truths, the president has done more for the black community than any president since Abraham Lincoln. Barnette insists the time is now to get back what has been lost, to fix the brokenness, and to recognize and support those who are actually working in our favor. We have nothing to lose, and even more to gain.
Book Synopsis Thetrump Challenge to Black America by : Earl Ofari Hutchinson
Download or read book Thetrump Challenge to Black America written by Earl Ofari Hutchinson and published by Middle Passage Press. This book was released on 2017-07-24 with total page 126 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In the three-year period from 2015 to 2017, I covered and analyzed every aspect of the speeches, utterances, and positions Trump posited during his presidential campaign on civil rights, voting rights, criminal justice and police abuse, and education in my featured columns in the Huffington Post. My special emphasis was on the impact a Trump candidacy and presidency would have on race relations and African-Americans. The Trump Challenge to Black America is based on those columns. I have expanded those columns with added material, fresh assessments, and a detailed look at the direction Trump has taken the country in since his election. The conclusion is the same as in my columns. Trump poses the greatest challenge and peril of any president in modern times to black Americans. The Trump Challenge is a hard hitting laser look at that peril and what black Americans can do about it.

Book excerpt: "With lively prose and sensitivity to context, this book offers a sweeping, authoritative history of the Obama presidency, focusing particularly on its impact and meaning vis-áa-vis African Americans. This interpretative account captures the America that made Obama's White House years possible, while at the same time rendering the America that resolutely resisted the idea of a Black chief executive, thus making conceivable the ascent of his most unlikely of successors"--
Book Synopsis Trump's Democrats by : Stephanie Muravchik
Download or read book Trump's Democrats written by Stephanie Muravchik and published by Brookings Institution Press. This book was released on 2020-09-29 with total page 228 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Why did hundreds of Democratic strongholds break for Donald Trump in 2016 and stay loyal to him in 2020? Looking for answers, Muravchik and Shields lived in three such “flipped” communities. There they discovered a political culture that was Trumpy long before the 45th president arrived on the national political scene. In these places, dominated by the white working-class, some of the most beloved and longest-serving Democratic leaders are themselves Trumpian—grandiose, combative, thin-skinned, and nepotistic. Indifferent to ideology, they promise to take care of “their people” by cutting deals—and corners if needed. Stressing loyalty, they often turn to family to fill critical political roles. Trump, resembling these old-style Democratic bosses, strikes a familiar and appealing figure in these communities. Although voters in “flipped” communities have often been portrayed as white supremacists, Muravchik and Shields find that their primary political allegiances are to place—not race. They will spend an extra dollar to patronize local businesses, and they think local jobs should go to their neighbors, not “foreigners” from neighboring counties—who are just as likely to be white and native-born. Unlike the Proud Boys, they take more pride in their local communities than in their skin color. Trump successfully courted these Democrats by promising to revitalize their struggling hometowns. Because these communities largely stuck with Trump in 2020, Biden won the presidency by just the thinnest of margins. Whether they will continue to support a Republican Party without Trump—or swing back to the Democrats—depends in part on which party can satisfy these locally grown political tastes and values. The party that does that will enjoy a stranglehold in national elections for years to come.
Book Synopsis Steadfast Democrats by : Ismail K. White
Download or read book Steadfast Democrats written by Ismail K. White and published by Princeton University Press. This book was released on 2020-02-25 with total page 248 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "Over the last half century, there has been a marked increase in ideological conservatism among African Americans, with nearly 50% of black Americans describing themselves as conservative in the 2000s, as compared to 10% in the 1970s. Support for redistributive initiatives has likewise declined. And yet, even as black Americans shift rightward on ideological and issue positions, Democratic Party identification has stayed remarkable steady, holding at 80% to 90%. It is this puzzle that White and Laird look to address in this new book: Why has ideological change failed to push black Americans into the Republican party? Most explanations for homogeneity have focused on individual dispositions, including ideology and group identity. White and Laird acknowledge that these are important, but point out that such explanations fail to account for continued political unity even in the face of individual ideological change and of individual incentives to defect from this common group behavior. The authors offer instead, or in addition, a behavioral explanation, arguing that black Americans maintain political unity through the establishment and enforcement of well-defined group expectations of black political behavior through a process they term racialized social constraint. The authors explain how black political norms came about, and what these norms are, then show (with the help of survey data and lab-in-field experiments) how such norms are enforced, and where this enforcement happens (through a focus on black institutions). They conclude by exploring the implications of the theory for electoral strategy, as well as explaining how this framework can be used to understand other voter communities"--
