Book Synopsis You Are What You Say by : Matthew Budd, M.D.
Download or read book You Are What You Say written by Matthew Budd, M.D. and published by Harmony. This book was released on 2001-08-14 with total page 270 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "Why are you sick?" This question, posed in compassion by his grandmother Minnie after a childhood incident plunged him into illness, stayed with Dr. Matthew Budd throughout his lifetime in medicine. As a teacher and physician at Harvard for more than thirty years, he repeatedly asked his patients this question. He found, remarkably, that it often unlocked memories, secrets, anger, resentments, and fears that had played crucial roles in their illnesses. As he encouraged his patients to reflect on their lives and habitual behavior, they often shifted from being trapped in suffering to designing a life of wellness and profound personal change for themselves, no matter what their circumstances. Their experiences led Dr. Budd to develop the Ways to Wellness program, a nationally acclaimed workshop offered by numerous HMOs. In You Are What You Say, Dr. Budd presents the principles of this powerful, scientifically validated program that weaves ancient and modern insights into human behavior, neurophysiology, language, and spirituality. One of these fundamental principles is that you are what you say -- your words play a major role in determining, not just reflecting, your health and well-being. He explains how the body "learns" many of its reactions, consciously and unconsciously, through language. By following the principles in this book, you'll learn about the Ten Linguistic Viruses that damage health and how to combat the ravages of anger, perfectionism, depression, and anxiety by changing the script of what you say to yourself and to others.

Download or read book Gay Marriage, What Does Almighty God Say? written by Max Matonhodze and published by Paragon Publishing. This book was released on 2023-08-28 with total page 80 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Message from Almighty God to the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom on the Same Sex Marriage Act. Apostle Doctor Max Matonhodze Gay Marriage What does Almighty God Say? It is an unforgettable day, Monday the 6th of January 2014. - I woke up and Almighty God spoke to me clearly- “I have a message for you for the Prime Minister.” Did I hear correctly? I asked myself. “Lord is it you?” I asked. “Yes, it’s Me, write the message down.” The message started literally downloading. Almighty God started revealing that: The Same Sex Marriage Act of 2013 was a mistake, it crossed the line from heaven, and opens the nation to judgement from Almighty God. God loves gay people as He does everybody else and we all have a duty of love to them, to be kind and to allow equal opportunity and crucially to tell them the truth. The truth of Almighty God is eternal, it does not change with time or fashion. He says: “I am God and I change not.” There is deception of the enemy satan behind gay feeling, they do not originate from God. There is a way out which Almighty God has made for gay and all mankind through the sacrifice made by His Son Jesus Christ when He suffered, died on the cross and rose again from the dead on the third day. As you turn to Him, you will find that God is not angry with you, He is not even in a bad mood. To access forgiveness of Jesus Christ, you need to repent, that is change your mind, call on the name of Jesus Christ and align your thinking with God, knowing that Jesus Christ defeated and disarmed satan and gives every believer authority and victory over the wicked one satan. This book explains, with extraordinary clarity, issues that have daunted many government leaders, many Christian leaders, many gay people and many ordinary people. While this book contains the message for the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, this message is also meant for Government leaders across the nations of Planet Earth, Christian leaders, gay people everywhere as well as ordinary people across the nations of Planet Earth.

Book Synopsis WHAT DOES THE BIBLE REALLY SAY ABOUT THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST? by : Edward D. Andrews
Download or read book WHAT DOES THE BIBLE REALLY SAY ABOUT THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST? written by Edward D. Andrews and published by Christian Publishing House. This book was released on 2014-11-05 with total page 167 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The information herein is based on the disciples coming to Jesus privately, saying, “Tell us, (1) when will these things be, and (2) what will be the sign of your coming, and (3) of the end of the age?” (Matthew 24:3) These questions refer to the end of an age, which was referred to in Matthew 24:1-2,1 Jesus came out from the temple and was going away when his disciples came up to point out the temple buildings to him. 2 And he said to them, “Do you not see all these things? [the temple buildings] Truly I say to you, not one stone here will be left upon another, which will not be torn down.” In Matthew 24:3-28, Jesus is referring to the end of the Jewish age, which was to culminate in 66-70 C.E., with the desolation and destruction of Jerusalem and its temple. The disciples’ questions were based on a presumption the end of the temple to them, equaled the end of the age, encompassing Christ’s return, the judgment of the wicked and the setting up of his kingdom. Verses 3-28 are Jesus answering their question. In his words, he does address what will lead up to the end of the Jewish age, but what about the end of wicked humankind and the ruler of the world, the age (era) of Satan, and his second coming, Jesus’ kingdom, and his thousand year reign. We have to understand the end of the Jewish age as well, because all prophecy has a meaning to those who hear it, which will help us understand if it could be applicable to us. In conservative, evangelical, grammatical-historical interpretation, an author has only one referent for his words, as two referents would result in two meanings. Our position is that there is only one meaning of what an author meant by his words. This may sound complex now, but it will be unfolded more in later chapters, in a very easy to understand way. In chapters 1 and 2, we must address why Jesus is saying there would be an end of the Jewish age. In chapter 3, we will take a deep look at the signs that establish the great tribulation is closing in, and when is it time to flee. In chapter 4, we will go over the signs of the end of the Jewish age. In chapter 5, we will walk through the events leading up to the end of the Jewish age from 66 – 70 C.E. In chapter 6, we will cover the second coming of Jesus where the reader will get the answers as to whether verses 3-28 apply to his second coming. We will close out with chapter 7, and how we should understand the signs, and how we do not want to be led astray, just as Jesus warned even some of the chosen ones would be misled. We will also address what comes after the end.
Book Synopsis I Got It From Here by : Francesca Miracola
Download or read book I Got It From Here written by Francesca Miracola and published by Simon and Schuster. This book was released on 2023-04-25 with total page 180 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Growing up in an Italian American family in Queens, New York, in the ’70s, Francesca Miracola was trained from an early age to keep up appearances at all costs—but behind closed doors, her parents’ toxic marriage served as a blueprint for dysfunction. So when she met Jason Axcel at a bar as a twentysomething, she ignored all the red flags—and there were plenty of them—and dove right in, normalizing his emotional and physical abuse just like she’d learned to do. She even married and had two children with him. But something in her clicked one night when Jason strolled out the door after a vicious fight that left her degraded on the floor, and she decided she was done. Except Jason wouldn’t let her go. Even after they finally divorced and Francesca fell in love with someone else, her ex-husband was keen enough to recognize that she was the same broken girl he’d met a decade earlier, and he exploited that fact at every turn. He called the cops to her home with bogus claims; he bombarded her with provoking emails and texts; he stalked her every move; and, worst of all, he used their little boys as pawns in his campaign. Then he went for the jugular and sued her for custody. But Francesca was stronger than he’d given her credit for. Raw and illuminating, I Got It from Here is one woman’s story of saving herself and her children from the grips of a sociopath posing as a family man—and from the inherited trauma passed down by her own family of birth—while learning to trust in the inner voice that’s been trying to guide her all along.
