The Radiomen are the long-range voice of the ship and are responsible for keeping record of all the incoming and outgoing message traffic for the ship. The Signalmen are the visual communications specialists and handle the short range ship to ship traffic. Quartermasters are responsible for keeping an accurate record of the ship's position when underway and continuously main taining it.
