Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Its 10.00 am, a regular office day. I am almost ready to leave for office.I have done my Puja today. Such daily routine has not been a part of my life in last 45 years. Yet, now I am reciting my Hanuman Chalisa daily in the morning, putting the rodi tilak on my forehead and having breakfast only after the morning Puja.I leave for office at around 10.15 am. I never used to carry a bottle of water, but I do now. My reason for the same to my wife has been that since the office atmosphere is not congenial, I don't like even asking for a glass of water from anyone, let alone a half decent cup of tea.I come down to my black sedan car, a Honda Civic that I had bought in Lodnapur while working for NT Steel. The last day in chauffer driven car had been on 16th April 2019.I drive out silently from my colony; take a route different to my office towards the Kutchery road. For my office, I would have travelled just opposite. I make sure that the Google map and locations are turned off. I check them on my mobile mid way, sometimes stopping my car by the side of the road. Lest anyone should know the location. I do this daily now since 18th May 2019. I reached the famous Morahbadi ground of Ranchi, the Capital City of Jharkhand, India. I park my car on the stadium side, inside the field, where there are a number of trees and usually till 2.00 pm, there is some shade. I remain there till 2.00 PM or 2.30 PM, then rev up my engine, back out of the spot and begin my journey home. In between, if some shopping is required to be done, I do it without forgetting. How could I have forgotten the only things that are required to be done these days?I keep doing this right from mid of May 2019 till mid of February 2020, without giving away any hint to the family.

With each new town, each new truck stop, each new highway, they get closer to a vicious killer who defies every principle of profiling and prediction John knows how to use, and meanwhile Brooke's fractured psyche teeters on the edge of oblivion, overwhelmed by the hundreds of thousands of dead personalities sharing her mind. She flips in and out of lucidity, manifesting new names and thoughts and memories every day, until at last the one personality pops up that John never expected and has no idea how to deal with. The Walking Dead original novel series, set in the universe of Robert Kirkman's iconic comic book, comes to a shattering conclusion with The Fall of the Governor – Part Two. From co-authors Kirkman, creator of the Eisner Award-winning comic as well as executive producer of AMC's blockbuster TV series, and Jay Bonansinga, Stoker Award-finalist and internationally acclaimed author, comes this stunning finale to their ambitious chronicle of human survival amid the plague of undead, which began with The Walking Dead: Rise of the Governor. In Rise of the Governor, uber-villain Philip Blake journeyed from his humble beginnings directly into the dark heart of the zombie apocalypse, and became the self-proclaimed leader of a small town called Woodbury. In The Road to Woodbury, an innocent traveler named Lilly Caul wound up in the terrifying thrall of Phillip Blake's twisted, violent dictatorship within Woodbury's ever tightening barricades. In The Fall of the Governor – Part One, Philip Blake finally revealed himself to be the true monster that he is, and the battle lines were drawn between the Governor and the desperate, beleaguered inhabitants of a nearby prison. Now, in The Fall of the Governor Part Two, the Governor's dark journey reaches its shocking, heartrending conclusion. In a roller coaster finale, war breaks out, all of the plot lines from the previous three novels converge, tensions boil over into unthinkable mayhem, and the dark destinies of those few left standing are sealed in a series of stunning twists.

This book was released on 2020-07-23 with total page 457 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Through a detailed analysis of ghost tales in the Ashkenazi pietistic work Sefer ḥasidim, Susan Weissman documents a major transformation in Jewish attitudes and practices regarding the dead and the afterlife that took place between the rabbinic period and medieval times. She reveals that a huge influx of Germano-Christian beliefs, customs, and fears relating to the dead and the afterlife seeped into medieval Ashkenazi society among both elite and popular groups. In matters of sin, penance, and posthumous punishment, the infiltration of Christian notions was so strong as to effect a radical departure in Pietist thinking from rabbinic thought and to spur outright contradiction of talmudic principles regarding the realm of the hereafter. Although it is primarily a study of the culture of a medieval Jewish enclave, this book demonstrates how seminal beliefs of medieval Christendom and monastic ideals could take root in a society with contrary religious values—even in the realm of doctrinal belief.
