Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is a heart surgery of the spiritual leader. The leader’s inner life—spiritual condition—is determinant. Without a deep and intimate knowledge of God, any leadership exercised is from skill, talent, or natural endowment. It can never satisfy God's heart; neither can it lead God's people to destiny. In Leading a Local Church (Volume 2), the author, Z.T. Fomum, will take you through the necessary heart cultivation required to build the leadership wealth that will set you apart and promote a mere seeker after God into a spiritual leader. He show-case the spiritual dynamics that will empower anyone in leadership at all levels with the capacity to move God to move and transform both men and situations. And since the heart condition of a leader is most altered in the place of prayer—where the heart is welded to that of God, then it is obvious that no spiritual leader can go beyond his performance in the closet—time spent alone with God. From another angle, the author demonstrates that leadership is conditioned on a life sacrificed, spent, and sold out for others. He elaborates at great length some critical aspects of spiritual leadership like strategic planning, the setting of goals, providing a model, etc., alongside practical strategies on how to successfully start and progress in leading a local church. The normal member of the local church is not left out, since they play a key role in their leader's well-being. This book will be of great help in providing insight on how you can be a source of great encouragement and spiritual progress booster to your leader. If you are actively leading or aspiring to lead God's people and are determined to dive deep into God so as to take those under your leadership to God’s heights and full approval, then this book is for you.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The state of the conscience, faith, and the Spirit-filled life are related. Sin, disobedience, hardening of heart and impurity destroy the good conscience and produce a defiled conscience. When the conscience is defiled, faith cannot be born. Lack of repentance, and a hardened heart produce a seared and dead conscience to the point where, when God speaks, you no longer feel anything. This book by Professor Fomum is a description of the state of man's conscience. His burden is to get every believer to cooperate with God to have a clear conscience before God and before man. A strong and clear conscience speaks of the possibility of letting in the light of God, for the strong conscience is full of the Holy Spirit. From a detailed explanation of each state of conscience, Professor Fomum demonstrates that the Lord has done everything possible to make sure that every believer has a conscience that is functioning at the highest possible level. His prayer is that everyone should step into the health of God for their conscience and become whatever God wants them to become in their relationship with Him. May you read this book in order to accomplish all that He has asked you to do for His everlasting purposes.

Book excerpt: 2024 Summer Games! What if this was equally an opportunity to consider this other game wherein each one of us is an athlete, that of life? This is what Professor Fomum invites us to. He remains faithful to the vision of an individual’s full development which had previously moved the ancient Greeks to whom we owe the Olympic Games. He discusses this topic using a spiritual approach and, with a didactic style, he reproduces the context and the goal of the game, explains the main rules and gives the essentials for a good beginning and for victory. Strongly concerned about the fulfilment of the entire being, Zacharias Tanee Fomum also sought to better man’s living conditions on earth through science. He holds a PhD in organic chemistry and a D.Sc. for highly distinguished research works, especially in the medicinal field.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Starve and Immolate tells the story of leftist political prisoners in Turkey who waged a deadly struggle against the introduction of high security prisons by forging their lives into weapons. Through an innovative approach that weaves together contemporary and critical political theory with political ethnography, Starve and Immolate analyzes the death fast struggle as an exemplary but not exceptional instance of self-destructive practices that should be understood as a consequence of, retort to, and refusal of the increasingly biopolitical forms of sovereign power deployed as a response to terrorism around the globe. The Turkish stateÕs pursuit of high security prisons based on cellular confinement, which would reconfigure traditional wards allowing political prisoners to live a communism in practice, led to a protracted movement in which dozens of political prisoners starved and immolated themselves. Banu Bargu chronicles the experiences, rituals, values, beliefs, ideological self-representations, and contentions of these protesters against the history of Turkish democracy and the treatment of dissent in a country where prisons have become sites of political confrontation. Bargu connects the increasing turn to self-destructive practices with the revamping of Turkish state sovereignty through a process of biopolitical securitization against terrorism. A critical response to Michel FoucaultÕs Discipline and Punish, Starve and Immolate centers on new forms of struggle that arise from the asymmetric antagonism between the state and its contestants in the contemporary prison. Bargu ultimately positions the weaponization of life as an emergent repertoire of political action, a bleak, violent, and ambivalent form of insurgent politics that seeks to wrench the power of life and death away from the modern state on corporeal grounds and increasingly theologized forms. Drawing attention to the existential commitment, sacrificial morality, and militant martyrdom that transforms these struggles into a complex amalgam of resistance, Bargu advances a critical-theoretical interpretation of human weapons that explores the global ramifications of their practices of resistance, as well as their possibilities and limitations.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: If a deep and lasting crisis shook our democracies, as happened to German society from 1929 to 1933, would we be able to resist the fascist temptation? On January 31, 1933, thirty-two million Germans, who had not voted Nazi woke up caught in the trap of dictatorship. How did they behave under the new power? How did they react to the suppression of freedoms, to the recruitment, to the anti-Semitic persecutions, to the march towards war? What compromises were necessary to survive? Was it possible not to collaborate with the Third Reich? Was it possible to resist it, and how? By comparing more than two hundred testimonies with the works of the greatest historians of this period, François Roux carries out a panoramic study of the history of Nazism and the Germans, from 1918 to 1946. He also forces us to challenge our preconceived notions—yes, thousands of Germans died resisting Hitler's Reich, and, no, the majority of them did not want this regime. By making us face the choices they had to make, this book gives us an intimate, almost physical understanding of the relationship between dictatorship and its subjects, and tells us a story that could one day be our own. François Roux has studied cognitive psychology. For the past twelve years, he has been exploring the mechanisms of submission and resistance of individuals and groups in situations of extreme duress. A regular contributor to the history magazine Gavroche, François Roux has published La Grande guerre inconnue ; les poilus contre l'armée française (Ed. Max Chaleil, 2006). Since 2007 he has been working as a consultant in the field of organization and management for the professional branch of the book trade.

Book excerpt: This book is strange because it speaks of the divine transactions of Professor Zacharias Tanee Fomum with the various persons of the Godhead or Deity—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. This book is strange, but true, in that it talks about the author's encounters with the triune God and the angels, and his reactions and actions in response to these encounters. His giving to God, its divine connotations, his obedience to God, his goals in giving, and the dramatic spiritual ping-pong games he plays with God are detailed in this book. You will be gripped by the author's giving to people, critical spiritual experiences of God the Father, appearances of God the Son, and the Pentecost experiences. His intercession experiences, an open curtain to the ministry of the angels and the Bank of Heaven, will shake you, frighten you, and then calm you down. Revelations of Heaven and Hell, visions and dreams, worship experiences, outward sufferings, and sacrifices, as well as inward sufferings and sacrifices, are intricately woven together to produce fruit that is visible for all to see in character transformation, souls won and kept, churches planted, disciples made, the advancement kingdom of God, and much more. We release this book with a prayer that each reader or listener will be lifted from the ordinary to the extraordinary and from a flat or fruitless life to an eventful and fruitful one.
