L'hypnose par son effet sur la modulation du vécu douloureux et l'absence de risques associés à son utilisation semble être un outil complémentaire intéressant pour les patients, de plus en plus attirés par les thérapeutiques alternatives. Nous avons conduit une étude dont l'objectif était d'étudier le vécu de patients ayant bénéficié d'une séance d'hypnose pour la réalisation d'un soin douloureux dans un service d'urgences adulte de la région lyonnaise. Dix sept entretiens ont été réalisés. La très grande majorité des patients appréhende le soin avant sa réalisation. La plupart des patients vivent mieux le soin que ce à quoi ils s'attendent et la douleur liée au geste est souvent faiblement ressentie. Les patients déclarent être aidés par l'hypnose sur le plan de la douleur et de l'anxiété. Malgré un scepticisme ou un étonnement initial en lien avec les représentations sociales de l'hypnose assimilée au spectacle ou au surnaturel, les patients tirent une grande satisfaction de cette prise en charge. L'hypnose médicale reste méconnue et mystérieuse pour les patients. Pourtant une fois les préjugés dépassés, elle leur apporte un soutien bénéfique face à un soin douloureux. Il paraît intéressant de développer son utilisation au sein des services d'urgences en encourageant les soignants à se former à cette pratique.

Quel est le vécu de la pratique de l'hypnose par les soignants en milieu hospitalier ? Etude qualitative par entretiens semi-dirigés menée auprès de 17 soignants de professions et spécialités différentes, formés et exerçant au Centre Hospitalier de Bourg-en-Bresse. Les professionnels soignants perçoivent un apport très bénéfique sur la prise en charge de la douleur, de l'angoisse, ainsi qu'une amélioration de la relation et de la communication avec le patient. Ils perçoivent pour eux-mêmes une amélioration de leurs conditions de travail, un moyen de mieux prendre soin d'eux, une amélioration de la cohésion dans l'équipe, ainsi que le développement d'une dynamique positive à l'échelle hospitalière. Bien que les participants de l'étude aient des avis très positifs sur les TAC, la plupart n'utilisent pas l'outil régulièrement en séances. C'est en partie à cause des freins tels qu'un manque de confiance chez les praticiens quant à leurs capacités à proposer l'outil, et les idées reçues chez les personnels non formés qui empêchent l'usage régulier des TAC en séance. Ces obstacles peuvent être surmontés avec des pistes d'amélioration concernant la formation et l'accompagnement à l'hôpital. Les TAC apportent de nombreux bénéfices à l'échelle du Centre Hospitalier de Bourg-en-Bresse, mais des nombreux freins empêchent leur pratique de façon régulière. Des améliorations dans la formation pourraient favoriser l'utilisation des TAC en pratique quotidienne conjointement aux pratiques de soins conventionnels.

Do we over-generalize in conceptualizing what is unrepresented, with the corresponding problem of false positives? Busch concludes that it is primarily through the analyst’s own associations that the reverie’s potential is revealed, which further helps the analyst distinguish it from many other possibilities, including the analyst’s countertransference. He believes in the importance of converting reveries into verbal interpretations, a controversial point amongst post-Bionians. Busch ends with the difficult task of classifying the analyst’s reveries based on their degree of representation.
