Book excerpt: A dark grimoire. An enterprising witch. One very annoyed vampire. Once the enchantment ends, the witch will pay. With her life, or her love? Duncan has lived for over two hundred years. As a vampire, he's aware there is very little that can do him harm. Certainly not a sexy young witch he thought he'd seduced. Even worse, he learns she's in possession of a grimoire that has the ability to end all vampires. Forever. Tasked with finding the spellbook, he'll do whatever it takes to destroy it, and he'll take pure pleasure in devouring her. Macy had no idea she'd ensnare herself by using the grimoire. She found it accidentally. She thinks. Except lately, she keeps using it, even when she's not sure she wants to. When Duncan captures her, the book disappears, and her neck is literally on the line. She can't find the book. He doesn't believe her. And then there's that weird demon guy who wants it too. With few options left, Duncan uses all his wiles to persuade Macy to give him what he wants. But somehow, he finds himself wanting her more than the book. And when it turns out she has a special connection to him and his kin, it's all he can do not to claim her for his own. But doing so might send him straight to Hell, eternally tortured, with the end to everything he holds dear.

Book excerpt: Upon receiving a report about some noisy teenagers having a party up on a hill on the outskirts of the city, the police stumbles upon a group of people performing a pagan ritual. Amidst the madness around the bonfire, a policeman catches a glimpse of a woman running for her life behind the tree line. He follows to discover a peculiar old man taking the woman's life before his eyes. The old man is taken to a prison hospital and as his sessions with a psychiatrist begin - it appears as if the strange circumstances surrounding the woman's death have come to an end and the guilty have been brought to justice. But the true horror is just about to begin... FROM THE FOREWORD I have written this novel in its original form a very long time ago, in year 2005. "Vampire Grimoire" was originally just what is, in this book, Part One - Rebirth. The second part I've written in 2007 and then rewritten in 2008. Part Two - Huntress, with respect to the timeline of the story, happens before Part One. One thing that I've included in the novel, that wasn't there before, are photos of certain locations in Zagreb, my home city. Being a very visual person, I thought it would be beneficial for the story to actually be able to place yourself physically in the story instead of just imagining what the place looks like especially as I don't spend a lot of time describing locations in this book. Most of the characters and events in this book were inspired by actual events that happened in my life and the lives of people that I knew at that time. It is because of this reason that all of the names in this book have been changed for privacy reasons and any potential resemblance of names, as they are now, to any real people is entirely coincidental and not intentional. Going back to the story, there are many parts where you may feel that there are loose ends left behind. This is sometimes not intentional, as I wanted to maintain the focus on something else in the story. And sometimes it is intentional, as I wanted some things to be implicit and leave it to my readers to figure out. Many of my friends and acquaintances have already read this book and know this story. Some of them also knew which characters were based on real people and knew what really happened, so they also looked at the story from that perspective as well. However, it was quite interesting how different their interpretations of what happened in the story were. This is the main reason why I wanted to keep some things open to interpretation, as it's quite rewarding to hear the story, which plays out in only way in my mind, to play out in so many other ways in other people's minds. And to my satisfaction - the way they tell the story sometimes turns out to be an even more interesting story than the one I had in mind when I was writing it. I always used to say to people that I shared this book with- "half of this book is based on actual events and the other half is just fantasy used to spice things up a bit". Some people, after reading the book, found this intrigue as contributing to the story's charm while others, well, not at all, and as you read the book, I'm sure you'll understand why.

Book Synopsis The Infernal Vampire Handbook by : D H Thorne
Download or read book The Infernal Vampire Handbook written by D H Thorne and published by . This book was released on 2020-08-12 with total page 166 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The first of D.H. Thorne's smaller Grimoires, this book details his practices of Infernal Vampiric Magick, complete with his explanation of what Vampirism is, and how to apply that knowledge in both ritual practice, and Energy manipulation. There are many books illustrating the fantastic and fictional nature of Vampirism. However, there are very few that properly, rationally, and unapologetically focus on its sinister left-hand path magickal applications. In "The Infernal Vampire Handbook," D.H. Thorne explores the metaphysical plausibility of what Vampirism is, how it works, and what a Vampire really is. He instructs the reader on essential practices, rituals, and even vampiric initiatory rites with the Sanguine Mother, Lilith. All of this is from the perspective of a man who was part of the cultural awakening of the vampire subculture that took place in the 1990s. The era when the Vampire was established as more than a myth, but a kind of Otherkin. Dare to explore this book to learn how one need not even be a "Vampire" to use these elegant and practical techniques. To begin feeding upon the life force of others. To learn ways to initiate yourself with the Sanguine Mother, and execute vampiric astral attacks, and much more. This book has something for the newly awakened vampire, the curious, and the experienced esoteric truth seeker alike.
