Book excerpt: A triple-camera system, which takes the place of the dual-camera system found on the Mavic 3's predecessor, is the standout feature of the Mavic 3 Pro. Similar to the iPhone camera tool, it is controlled by a single tap to switch between cameras (1x, 3x, and 7x). The Mavic 3 Pro's triple camera setup enables users to quickly swap between shot compositions, giving content producers access to more shots in a shorter amount of time than ever before. We're eager to explore how people will employ drones to change how viewers perceive distance and space. Although DJI has always provided drones with the capacity to monitor moving objects, avoid obstructions, and detect collisions, the Mavic 3 is where this technology-initiated advancement began. The 4/3 CMOS Hasselblad camera from the Mavic 3 Series is carried over into the Mavic 3 Pro. This camera is capable of 5.1K at 50 frames per second or DCI 4K at 120 frames per second and 12-bit RAW photo capture. With the new 10-bit D-Log M color mode, you may record up to a billion different colors while also achieving more natural color gradations and simpler color grading. Aside from that, Apple ProRes 422 HQ, Apple ProRes 422 and Apple ProRes 422 LT encoding are all supported by the three cameras that make up the Mavic Pro 3 Cine. A 1TB SSD and a 10Gbps lightspeed data connection are also incorporated into the drone.

This book was released on 2023-12-19 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The DJI Osmo Pocket 3 is a portable gimbal camera with a 1-inch CMOS sensor that produces breathtaking 4K images and videos. It features a fast-focusing system that makes it easy to track your subjects and a 2-inch rotatable touchscreen that lets you switch between horizontal and vertical shooting modes. A three-axis mechanical stabilization system is also included to guarantee steady and fluid footage in a variety of situations. You can easily and creatively capture your moving moments with the Osmo Pocket 3, a strong and adaptable camera. The Osmo Pocket 3 has several clever features, such as portrait mode, which lets you record videos in a vertical orientation for social media platforms, timelapse and motion lapse, which produce dynamic videos of changing scenes, and ActiveTrack 6.0, which follows your chosen target automatically. Weighing 6.4 ounces, the Pocket is 5.6 by 1.6 by 1.2 inches (HWD). It stands upright on its own, but because of its somewhat thin base, I'm not entirely sure I can trust it to stay upright. The camera comes with an add-on grip that adds an inch to its height and a tripod thread, however it does not include a quarter-twenty tripod thread. You can charge the camera while it's attached thanks to the attachment, which just clamps onto the bottom and has a USB-C socket. Not only does the additional real estate make the touchscreen significantly more useable, but the new camera is also easier to use in other ways. Now, you can manipulate the gimbal's motion with a noticeable joystick located beneath the screen. The Pocket 2 included this as a modular panel, whereas it was absent from the first Pocket. It is considerably easier to operate this joystick because it is larger. The Pocket's gimbal is as solid for handheld capture as the newest action cameras, such as the GoPro Hero12 Black and Osmo Action 4, and it performs better at stabilization than any competitors.

Book excerpt: As with other transportation methods, safety issues in aircraft can result in a total loss of life. Recently, the air transport industry has come under immense scrutiny after several deaths occurred due to aircraft design and airlines that allowed improperly inspected aircraft to fly. Spacecraft too have found errors in system software that could lead to catastrophic failure. It is imperative that the aviation and aerospace industries continue to revise and refine safety protocols from the construction and design of aircraft, to secure and improve aviation systems, and to test and inspect aircraft. The Research Anthology on Reliability and Safety in Aviation Systems, Spacecraft, and Air Transport is a vital reference source that examines the latest scholarly material on the use of adaptive and assistive technologies in aviation to establish clear guidelines for the design and implementation of such technologies to better serve the needs of both military and civilian pilots. It also covers new information technology use in aviation systems to streamline the cybersecurity, decision making, planning, and design processes within the aviation industry. Highlighting a range of topics such as air navigation systems, computer simulation, and airline operations, this multi-volume book is ideally designed for pilots, scientists, engineers, aviation operators, air traffic controllers, air crash investigators, teachers, academicians, researchers, and students.

Book excerpt: The Manual of Tests and Criteria contains criteria, test methods and procedures to be used for classification of dangerous goods according to the provisions of Parts 2 and 3 of the United Nations Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods, Model Regulations, as well as of chemicals presenting physical hazards according to the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS). As a consequence, it supplements also national or international regulations which are derived from the United Nations Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods or the GHS. At its ninth session (7 December 2018), the Committee adopted a set of amendments to the sixth revised edition of the Manual as amended by Amendment 1. This seventh revised edition takes account of these amendments. In addition, noting that the work to facilitate the use of the Manual in the context of the GHS had been completed, the Committee considered that the reference to the "Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods" in the title of the Manual was no longer appropriate, and decided that from now on, the Manual should be entitled "Manual of Tests and Criteria".
