Download or read book US Photovoltaic Patents, 1988--1990 written by and published by . This book was released on 1991 with total page 145 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This document contains US patents on terrestrial photovoltaic (PV) power applications, including systems, components, and materials, as well as manufacturing and support functions. The patent entries in this document were issued from 1988 through 1990. The entries were located by searching USPA, the data base of the US Patent Office. The final search retrieved all patents under the class B̀̀atteries, Thermoelectric and Photoelectric ̀̀and the subclasses P̀̀hotoelectric, ̀̀T̀̀esting, ̀̀and À̀pplications. ̀̀The search also located patents that contained the words p̀̀hotovoltaic(s) ̀̀or s̀̀olar cell(s) ̀̀and their derivatives. A manual search of the patents in the Solar Energy Research Institute (SERI) patent file augmented the data base search. After the initial list was compiled, most of the patents on the following subjects were excluded: space photovoltaic technology, use of the photovoltaic effect for detectors and subjects only peripherally concerned with photovoltaics. Some patents on these three subjects were included when it appeared that those inventions might be of use in terrestrial PV power technologies.

Download or read book Photovoltaic Patents, 1951-1983 written by and published by . This book was released on 1986 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This document comprises 1,487 U.S. patents on terrestrial power photovoltaic applications, systems, components, materials, manufacturing, and support functions. These patents were issued from 1951 through 1983; no patents were found in 1950. Entries were isolated by searching USPA, the database of the U.S. Patent Office. The final search strategy retrieved all patents under the class 'Batteries, Thermoelectric and Photoelectric' and the subclasses 'Photoelectric, ' 'Testing, ' and 'Applications' as well as patents which contained the words 'photovoltaic(s)' or 'solar cell(s)' and their derivatives. A manual search of patents in the Solar Energy Research Institute (SERI) Patent File augmented the data base search. After the initial list was compiled, patents for the following categories were excluded: space photovoltaic technology, use of the photovoltaic effect for detectors, and subjects only peripherally concerned with photovoltaics.
