Book excerpt: As evidence shows it, UFO events and reports hold a startling and unique connection to human medicine in a way never envisioned or expected until now. With soaring medical problems and costs in the United States, the connection between medical world and UFO incidents becomes evident when one looks at the body of evidence from a doctor's point of view. The medical applications arising from this connection and the factual data clearly indicate the need to research the endless possibilities, with great benefits to medicine and human needs in general. UFO reports and events such as the Gorman dogfight, Kecksburg Incident, and the Phoenix Lights clearly show the need for medical research in this area in a new light and with information that has only recently been uncovered, and point to an entire new medical field that has never been scrutinized until now. Dr. Clarington and Dr. Kent bring the otherwise unnoticeable connection to light in the clearest language, challenging other doctors, scientists, and people in general to consider the enormous benefits that UFO reports hold for the medical world and for countless patients who are in dire need of medical solutions. The book gives Missouri MUFON concepts to consider in active UFO research that can go a long way in shedding light on a subject that should interest both "believers" and "non-believers", by finding practical applications for all of us.

Book excerpt: Warning: These cases might upset your reality. Straight out of Project Blue Book, these are UFO cases the U.S. Air Force couldn't explain - real-life X-files from Missouri. They baffled the military and were labeled as "unknowns." Using outside analysts and military personnel, the USAF treated these reports of strange lights, flying saucers and other UFOs seriously. From the late 1940s through the late 1960s, Project Blue Book received more than 12,000 reports. Most were explained away as common everyday objects: planets, tricks of light, balloons, birds, meteors, helicopters or planes. But not all could be identified - 701 reports are still listed as "unknown." Seeking the truth Journalist Dave Toplikar, who has had a long career reporting on politics, government, police, courts and business, has been looking into some of those UFO cold cases since 2015. In this book, he's looking at 10 "unknowns" from Missouri, including several sightings in Kansas City and St. Louis, and others in Kirksville, Lake City, Normandy, Butler, Marshfield, and Gower. These Missouri cold cases include formerly classified documents, such as an FBI letter detailing a sighting over a munitions plant. They include an emotional hand-written note to President Eisenhower. The documents include scraps of paper, forms, rough sketches, and once-classified military statements, including sworn statements from radar operators. Eye-opening accounts Within these cold case files, the author found witness statements of UFOs that defy our current understanding of physics and gravity. Some witnesses wanted to remain anonymous, but saw it as their civic duty to report what they saw. One man was so shaken, he wouldn't come forward, but his wife and employer relayed his story to authorities. Finding a larger picture Toplikar, who has won multiple journalism awards for storytelling, has compiled the incidents into easy-to-read narratives. He includes historical context and connects these Missouri sightings to other UFO cases reported at the time, including the 1952 Washington Flap. He also learned some of these cold cases might not have actually ended with Project Blue Book, but might have been quietly passed off to non-public agencies within the intelligence community. Recent revelations While Project Blue Book was shut down in 1969, in 2017 and early 2018, news agencies including the New York Times reported the government actually has been recently studying UFOs in secrecy. They reported some very strange encounters of crafts that baffled our top military pilots and easily defeated our best technology to track them. In light of those recent revelations, a new look at these Project Bluebook Missouri cold cases could be in order. Read these cases with an open mind and decide for yourself. Book excerpt: The first book of its kind, the UFO Sightings Desk Reference: United States of America 2001-2015 presents data and analysis for 100,000+ sightings of unidentified flying objects reported by individuals during the first 15 years of the 21st century. Since 1969 the government has claimed no interest in the subject, and the press and media either ignore or ridicule any mention of UFOs. Yet citizen scientists and non-governmental organizations have continued to this day the research into this important subject: this book seeks to make the hardest data available accessible to the general public, as well as other UFO researchers. The book is organized into beginning narrative sections including analysis of UFO sightings, frequently asked questions, and how to use this book, followed by the data. Charts, tables, and maps are presented of summary data for the entire US and individual chapters for all 50 states (down to the county level) plus the District of Columbia. Aimed at the serious UFO researcher, this comprehensive volume is also of value to academic and public libraries, news organizations, and anyone who is interested in what is flying in the skies over their heads where they live.As seen in the New York Times: "People Are Seeing U.F.O.s Everywhere, and This Book Proves ItBy RALPH BLUMENTHAL -- APRIL 24, 2017"

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Project Blue Book was a U.S. government investigation of Unidentified Flying Objects - UFOs. One of the men working on the project was decorated U.S. Air Force officer Edward Ruppelt, and this book contains the findings. The ideas surrounding UFOs were stoked by popular imagination; flying saucers, alien visitation or even abduction, and strange phenomena such as lights or aircraft moving rapidly in the sky. Following World War II, the idea that aliens were regularly appearing in spacecraft, coupled with abundant reports of unexplained objects in the sky, prompted a series of investigations by governments. Project Blue Book was among the most notable, led by Josef Allen Hynek and staffed by officers such as Edward Ruppelt - both of whom were open-minded when identifying these unusual phenomena. Ruppelt's explanations are thorough, explaining what he and his team uncovered in detail over the course of 1952-1954. Finding nothing conclusive in support of UFOs as alien spacecraft, he quotes fellow officer Andy Flues: "Even taking into consideration the highly qualified backgrounds of some of the people who made sightings, there was not one single case which, upon the closest analysis, could not be logically explained in terms of some common object or phenomenon."

The phenomenon has sparked intense debate among many and excited the imagination of many others. But until now, there has never been a book-length treatment of this fascinating subject. Finally, we have one. David Marler has provided a comprehensive analysis of "the triangles." He has collected, collated, and analyzed hundreds of reports. In the process, he has created a detailed profile of these objects and written a rich narrative of their history.Marler is well-suited to the task, having at his disposal an enormous collection of newspaper archives, declassified military reports, UFO books and journals, and the transcripts of many first-hand interviews he has conducted. He has also received input from many prominent individuals from within the military, FAA, Aerospace, and UFO research field. He tackles the arguments made by skeptics that dismiss these triangular UFO reports outright. He also address the claims of so-called insiders who claim these objects are a creation of the U.S. military. The results of his years of research are documented in his book, Triangular UFOs: An Estimate of the Situation. It is a book that has long been needed, not only by the UFO research community, but the general public, as it opens up an entirely new discussion that has long been ignored: who is making the triangles?

Book excerpt: A real-life mix of The X-Files and Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Mezrich “writes vividly and grippingly…A terrific story…[that] will make a heck of a movie” (The Washington Post). Here is the “fascinating” (Publishers Weekly) true story of a computer programmer who tracks paranormal events in remote areas of the western United States and is drawn deeper and deeper into a mysterious conspiracy. Like Agent Mulder of The X-Files, microchip engineer and sheriff’s deputy Chuck Zukowski is obsessed with tracking down UFO reports in Colorado. He even takes the family with him on weekend trips to look for evidence of aliens. But this innocent hobby takes on a sinister urgency when Zukowski learns of mutilated livestock—whose exsanguination is inexplicable by any known human or animal means. Along an expanse of land stretching across the southern borders of Utah, Colorado, and Kansas, Zukowski documents hundreds of bizarre incidences of mutilations, and discovers that they stretch through the heart of America. His pursuit of the truth draws him deeper into a vast conspiracy, and he journeys from Roswell and Area 51 to the Pentagon and beyond; from underground secret military caverns to Native American sacred sites; and to wilderness areas where strange, unexplained lights traverse the sky at extraordinary speeds. Inspiring and terrifying, Mezrich’s “dramatic narrative…connects dots we didn’t even know existed…Something’s clearly happening out there in the high meadows and along desert highways” (Kirkus Reviews). The 37th Parallel will make you, too, wonder if we are really alone.

Book excerpt: An enlightening guide to success, fulfillment, wholeness, and plenty, offering practical advice on how to cultivate a sense of abundance in times of fear and insecurity, from New York Times bestselling author Deepak Chopra “To attain wealth of the lasting kind, the kind that gives your life meaning, value, and sustenance, base your daily existence on the generosity of spirit.”—Deepak Chopra Many of us live and operate from a mindset of lack, scarcity, and limitation. We focus on what we don’t have—financial security, confidence, an intimate relationship—which keeps us feeling insecure and inadequate. We think “if only I could have those things, I could be happy.” But measuring wealth by money or material possessions leaves us feeling drained and spiritually empty. Constantly striving for more often means our ego is driving our thoughts, actions, and reactions, which prevents us from reaching something greater: a true sense of inner peace, acceptance, and fulfillment. Yet, there is an inner path to prosperity and wealth that, once charted and explored, provides access to the great riches of the universe and life’s unbounded possibilities. In Abundance, international bestselling author Deepak Chopra illuminates this road to success and wholeness, helping readers tap into a deeper sense of awareness to become agents of change in their own lives. Mixing ancient teachings and spiritual practices with the wisdom he’s garnered over four decades as the leading figure in mind-body medicine, Deepak demonstrates how to transcend self-generated feelings of limitation and fear in order to experience true abundance in all aspects of life. To do so, he offers a seven-step plan along with meditations and mindfulness techniques to help you focus and direct your attention, energy, and intuition so you can experience stability, affluence, insight, creativity, love, and true power.
