Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is a memoir. Upon reflection, a haphazard upbringing, with its diverse locations and vocations, brought Betty Undlin to an age where she could consider what had mattered and why, what had made her laugh and what had made her cry. In the process, she realized that, in her case, challenging life changes appeared in twenty-year segments. Whereas the general concept of life is that everything tapers off at about 60, she has not found that to be true. Betty believes that if you refuse to limit yourself to your calendar age, 60 - 80 can even be the best! Undlin's memoir will keep you entertained as you work your way through her most significant events. More than that, it will remind you that life begins at any age you like! About the Author Betty Undlin is a product of Texas and the Bay Area of California. After college, she joined the Foreign Service of the State Department and was sent to Sao Paulo, Brazil. There, she met her husband, Russell. When they returned to the States, Russell continued his career in foreign trade. Russ and Betty traveled abroad extensively, then bought a manufacturing business in Cincinnati, Ohio. They were active in that business until their retirement in 1990. After a 6-month unexpected assignment in Mozambique, they settled wholeheartedly into prison ministry. Russ developed an aftercare ministry for Christian men coming out of prison, and Betty taught the Bible in prisons throughout Arizona. These activities culminated in 2003 with the opening of The Bridge, a Christian halfway house. The Bridge opened in February of 2003. In August of 2003, Russ died suddenly. Since that time, Betty has continued to manage The Bridge, with its ever-changing group of "sons."

Whether you’ve just found your first gray hair or you’re peering around the corner to your mid-life crisis, You Know You’re 40 When… will tickle your funny bone (while you can still remember where to find it).

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Inspector Henry Tibbett’s better half, wife Emmy, takes center stage in a WWII mystery. “The classical whodunnit remains safe in Miss Moyes’ hands.” —The Sun To date, Emmy Tibbett has been something of a secondary character—a placid, pleasantly plump presence who serves mostly to make her detective-husband Henry all the more likeable. With Johnny, however, Emmy at last gets a turn in the spotlight, as she and Henry head off for the 20th reunion of her Royal Air Force squad. It’s a bittersweet trip for Emmy: She loved her work with the RAF, and she was in love with one of the pilots, but their happiness ended abruptly when he killed himself, crashing his plane into the North Sea. But was it suicide? At the reunion, Emmy is startled to realize that she may have been the last person to see her sweetheart alive. And she’s more than startled to discover that virtually everyone connected with that fatal flight had something to hide. Praise for Patricia Moyes “The author who put the ‘who’ back in whodunit.” —Chicago Daily News “A new queen of crime . . . her name can be mentioned in the same breath as Agatha Christie and Ngaio Marsh.” —Daily Herald “An excellent detective novel in the best British tradition. Superbly handled.” —Columbus Dispatch “Intricate plots, ingenious murders, and skillfully drawn, often hilarious, characters distinguish Patricia Moyes’ writing.” —Mystery Scene

It looks at adults in this age group who see life changing before them, and who fail to realize that what they have created arose from their own actions, and that they can make changes using these ‘secrets’ mentioned in the book. It is hoped that you, the reader, will go through the examples and explanations several times and as you see the benefits manifesting in your own life, pass on the lessons to others. You will then agree that life truly does not have to be that hard.
