Download or read book A Treatise on Servitude written by Ayatullah Muhammad Baqir Tahriri and published by . This book was released on 2023-04-06 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is an exegesis of the well-known treatise from Imam Sajjad ('a) named Risalat al-Huquq originally authored in Persian by Ayatullah Muhammad Baqir Tahriri, who is a known authority in the field of akhlaq and Islamic spiritual wayfaring. In essence, the Risalat al-Huquq is an expounding of three rights. The first is the responsibilities and existential relationship that the human has with respect to Allah (absolute submission). The second deals with the responsibilities and existential relationship of the human concerning himself, including his body parts (the right of a human on himself). And the third consists of the responsibilities and laws governing the man's relationship with one another (the rights of others). If we correctly understand the meaning of rights, then we will clearly recognize that to achieve complete success in fulfilling the rights of Allah, there is no other way except to humble oneself before Allah and seek His help.
Book Synopsis Conceptions of Justice from Earliest History to Islam by : Abbas Mirakhor
Download or read book Conceptions of Justice from Earliest History to Islam written by Abbas Mirakhor and published by Springer. This book was released on 2019-04-17 with total page 295 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book examines the conceptions of justice from Zarathustra to Islam. The text explores the conceptions of justice by Zarathustra, Ancient Egypt, India, Mesopotamia, Noah, Abraham, and Moses. During the Axial Age (800-200BCE), the focus of justice is in India, China, and Greece. In the post-Axial age, the focus is on Christianity. The authors then turn to Islam, where justice is conceived as a system, which emerges if the Qur’anic rules are followed. This work concludes with the views of early Muslim thinkers and on how these societies deteriorated after the death of the Prophet. The monograph is ideal for those interested in the conception of justice through the ages, Islamic studies, political Islam, and issues of peace and justice.

Book Synopsis Political Islam, Justice and Governance by : Mbaye Lo
Download or read book Political Islam, Justice and Governance written by Mbaye Lo and published by Springer. This book was released on 2018-11-08 with total page 386 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book argues that political Islam (represented by its moderate and militant forms) has failed to govern effectively or successfully due to its inability to reconcile its discursive understanding of Islam, centered on literal justice, with the dominant neo-liberal value of freedom. Consequently, Islamists' polities have largely been abject, often tragic failures in providing a viable collective life and sound governance. This argument is developed theoretically and supported through a set of case studies represented by the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt (under President Muhammad Morsi’s tenure), Hassan Turabi's National Islamic Front in Sudan and The Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS). It is ideal for audiences interested in Regional Politics, Islamic Studies and Middle Eastern Studies.
