Book Synopsis Mindfulness, Now and Zen: The sceptics guide to Ultimate Reality by : Wally Barr
Download or read book Mindfulness, Now and Zen: The sceptics guide to Ultimate Reality written by Wally Barr and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2017-02-22 with total page 326 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book explores how each of us knows what we know. It considers claims that we see only illusions and that behind it all there is an indescribably beautiful reality - both a God and a Nirvana. The book goes on to explain in simple terms how these two ideas, so different on the surface, may not be so different at all. Ranging across the centuries the book draws on the teachings of a wide variety of thinkers from vastly different cultural, philosophical and religious backgrounds. The message they each bring is distilled into one consistent story in which our everyday sense of reality can be thought of as a deceptive and rather pale reflection of what's really going on. And although our thinking processes are seriously limited, the book describes how we can all transcend these limitations and experience Ultimate Reality through the simple practice of mindfulness - for mindfulness meditation offers freedom from thinking.

Book Synopsis The Out of Body Experience by : Anthony Peake
Download or read book The Out of Body Experience written by Anthony Peake and published by Watkins Media Limited. This book was released on 2016-09-13 with total page 241 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book opens with the author's experience with the 'Lucid Light Stimulator' in Switzerland. This presents him with his first experience of 'Astral Travel'. From this he takes the reader on a historical, theological and mystical journey through the history of the 'out of body experience' in all its varieties and forms. The second half of the book discusses the science behind the experience. It reviews some of the latest research in the fields of psychology, neurology and neuro-chemistry. It then attempts a short explanation of why quantum physics may be the unlikely source of answers to the mystery of the out-of-body experience. The final section presents the author's new model of how exotic-sounding concepts such as Bose-Einstein Condensates, Einstein Rosen Bridges, Zero-Point Energy, microtubules and coherent light can be used to present a totally new explanation of how 'Astral Travel' really does involve a journey - into inner, not outer, space.

Book Synopsis Advait in Everyday Life by : Acharya Prashant
Download or read book Advait in Everyday Life written by Acharya Prashant and published by PrashantAdvait Foundation. This book was released on 2018-05-21 with total page 356 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Advait has since long been revered as the crown jewel of all spiritual philosophies. However, there are very few books, if any at all, that practically demonstrate the presence, applications, methods and benefits of living as per the golden teaching of Advait-Vedanta. This book is a much needed and rare attempt to bring spirituality and philosophical teachings to everyday life. The author's genius lies in being delightfully able to bridge the abstract world of theorizations and principles with day-to-day circumstances, happenings, emotions and relationships. With the author, Advait is no longer a transcendental idea, rather it is something that breathes, lives, and grows with us in our routine affairs, and enriches our life and our world as a blessing. The fun starts when the otherwise intimidating philosophy is revealed to the reader as immensely intimate and easily, practically implementable. This is a book not just for the mind, but for life!
