La regulación de las diferentes instituciones protegidas por la propiedad industrial está totalmente puesta al día, con el estudio de las últimas modificaciones de la Ley de Patentes y Modelos de Utilidad de 1986, la Ley de Marcas de 7 de diciembre de 2001 y la Ley de Protección Jurídica del Diseño Industrial, de 7 de julio de 2003, con un examen del diseño industrial nacional que carecía de regulación específica. Todo ello con las necesarias referencias a la Ley de 5 de junio de 2006 que, por imperativo comunitario, amplía los medios de tutela de los derechos de propiedad intelectual e industrial.
