This is novel four of the “Maya's Aura” series. In this naughty novel of magic and mayhem, our young Maya is on the run and following a quest. Her healing hands have a side effect of creating fatal heart attacks in predator men. Unfortunately her youthful good looks attracts them like tigers to a lamb. Because the police want to question her about heart attack coincidences, she has fled the USA.
She must find out more about her powers, and since all answers seem to be in India, she and Marique to buy cheap tickets to Mumbai. Between Marique’s quest for sun and beaches, and Maya’s quest for gurus with knowledge of auras, their trip turns into a series of exotic adventures. Their road trip across India leads them to the beaches of Goa, holy Dharamsala, along the spectacular gorges of Nepal, and to the far side of the Himalayas.
About the Author
Skye Smith is my pen name. My family convinced me not to use my real name because my stories are so critical of predator males. You'll understand and forgive me this as you fall in love with sweet Maya, my main character.
For those of you who like stories about vampires, witches, and magic, you won’t be disappointed by my very different, more realistic take on it all. My vampires are parasites wearing business suits. My witches are healers ignored by the modern world. My magic is based on aura’s, and everyone has felt or seen an aura at least once in their lives.

Book Synopsis British India's Relations with the Kingdom of Nepal, 1857–1947 by : Asad Husain
Download or read book British India's Relations with the Kingdom of Nepal, 1857–1947 written by Asad Husain and published by Taylor & Francis. This book was released on 2023-05-03 with total page 409 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: British India's Relations with the Kingdom of Nepal (1970) uses original documents and confidential papers never before available to examine the relations between Nepal and British India from 1857 to 1947. Though relations between the two countries were generally friendly, they occasionally clashed when Nepal felt that its independence and indigenous way of life was threatened. Although Nepal customarily followed policies which appeared to be harmonious with those of Great Britain, Professor Husain shows that its policies were usually based on self-interest and, contrary to traditional thinking, Nepal was a nation largely independent of British control.

Book Synopsis Bleeding Mountains of Nepal by : Aditya Man Shrestha
Download or read book Bleeding Mountains of Nepal written by Aditya Man Shrestha and published by iUniverse. This book was released on 2001 with total page 286 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Whether it is politics, journalism or literature the most talked about topic today is undoubtedly “corruption.” This book deals with it throughout. Each page of Bleeding Mountains of Nepal is a ghastly tale of how the country is run by people whose unsaturated greed and avarice for power and perks and their dereliction of duty may be unmatched by anyone anywhere in the world. The book is a verification of how national resources, funds and revenue, foreign loans and assistance are pillaged, pilfered, plundered, abducted, swindled, embezzled, robbed, looted and predated by the very bottom to the top level in the government machinery and also by those outside the government. The whole book is a document of how the country is being fleeced, milked and wrenched at all times by the insiders, outsiders, donor agencies and the NGOs. It speaks of Nepal and its teeming millions squirming below the poverty line, forever exploited. It is a story of Nepal’s failed development of the last fifty years—the tears behind the smile—the smile that does not reach the eyes. It is particularly helpful to those who want to write, study and research on corruption and mismanagement in Nepal.

Book Synopsis Nepal’S Enduring Poverty by : Sukhdev Shah
Download or read book Nepal’S Enduring Poverty written by Sukhdev Shah and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2015-08-18 with total page 410 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Theory of economic growth has made remarkable progress over the past three decades that has helped give us a better understanding of factors that induce or inhibit growth. In practice, though, a majority of countries have failed to increase growth and improve living conditions. The elixir that has been absent from traditional growth theories is the role of an enabling environment that is needed to induce and support growth. This book--a case study of Nepals poverty--presents the view that non-economic factors play an outsized role in determining the productive use of economic resources which is critical to spur growth, to a much greater extent that the level of resources a country commands. The theme developed in this book is that a countrys institutional weaknesses create a hostile environment for economic growth to occur and be sustained. Institutional handicaps exercise powerful constraints on the efficiency of use of resources and creation of wealth. This happens because institutions are rooted in a countrys history, its culture, emotions, and even in national psychology.
