It's a species of bat that's colored white, that's why - while most bat species are colored black. Also, a lot of bats look scary (it's one of the reasons why they're popular around Halloween) - but that's not the case with the Honduran White Bat, because it's actually quite cute. It looks like a white marshmallow - how can it be not cute? This is also a very small species of bat, so it's really not scary at all. In fact, even a small child can hold it in his or her small hands. Excited to learn more about the Honduran White Bat? Book excerpt: The dream state meets reality in this true life personal adventure as Peter Moon reveals a peculiar and impact- ing dream he experienced in 1989 long before his leg- endary involvement with time travel and synchronicity. The dream, the details of which are reviewed in this book, climaxed with a white bat manifesting at Dracula's Citadel. Before his sixth journey to Romania, an annual sojourn Peter Moon has made since 2008 in pursuit of the myster- ies presented by Radu Cinamar in the Transylvania book series and summarized again within these pages, Peter realizes that the dream was somehow prophetic and had been pulling him to Romania long before his involvement with time travel, Preston Nichols, Dr. David Anderson or even before he began his public writing career. Now, upon his arrival in Transylvania in 2013 and twenty- four years after the dream, Peter is spontaneously informed that a white bat had unexpectedly just appeared in a cave sacred to the blue goddess Machandi, a tantric

This book was released on 2011 with total page 94 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This study aims to describe behavior of the Honduran White Bat during its diurnal roosting period and identify indicators of torpor or lack of torpor. Four roosts were filmed between 06:30 hrs and 17:30 hrs. Witnessed behaviors included sitting still, relocating, scratching, yawning, wing stretching, wing grooming, and other moving. Individuals spent 95.3% of their time inactive. Activity levels fluctuated frequently throughout the day, but were highest in the morning and decreased across the afternoon and evening. Higher ambient temperatures were not associated with higher activity levels. This is inconsistent with expectations for torpid bats. Disturbance of the roost by wind gusts did not demonstrate a relationship with activity levels. I propose that E. alba does not undergo torpor and that this may account for its small habitat range.
