Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Introduction A life of Healing, a life of Health, A life worth living is a life of Wealth. I have practiced over 25 years as a chiropractor and I have learned that most people come to me to treat their pain. I’m sure that most doctors and therapists have the same experience, people want to receive a treatment that will cure their illness. As I treat my patients I’m also analyzing how their problem was created. I’m looking at various factors like diet, lack of exercise, injurious repetitive movements or anything else that could provoke the problem. I’m trying to get the patient to take responsibility for their problem and help me with their treatment. It appears that I’m treating their physical illness but over the years I have come to a new realization, that a person’s emotional, mental and spiritual side can also affect their health. The reality of the situation is that we can’t separate an illness into a physical, emotional, mental or spiritual ailment, because everything works together. I now understand that attitudes play an essential role in our health and wellbeing. Attitudes have characteristics that are physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. In psychology attitudes are labeled as behavioral (physical), affective (emotional) and cognitive (mental). In this book attitudes have a spiritual side as well, attitudes will have a positive spiritual value or a negative spiritual value. Attitudes that bring people together and unite them has an energy with a positive spiritual value and attitudes that are divisive and cause separation has a negative value. If we have attitudes with a negative spiritual energy then they will cause illness; physical illness, mental illness and emotional illness. We need to adopt attitudes with a positive spiritual energy if we want to stay healthy and grow spiritually. Spiritual growth is there for all of us but we have to make the effort, no one can make us grow spiritually. Looking for someone to cure our ills is a short-term proposition, the long term cure is when we discover what is causing us harm and create a healthy lifestyle. The 7 Laws of Human Nature is a scientific philosophical study into the human consciousness, the 7 chakras and the human aura. We use theories to make sense about what we are observing in life, to explain ideas and interpret facts. The 1st chapter is the Theory of the Oneness of Universal Love, which will present 7 hypotheses. These hypotheses will present facts and suppositions of facts, which will be followed up by a theory. This is all happening on four energy levels; physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. Life on Earth has to have a reason, our lives aren’t an accident and this book presents a logical theory on the how and why of life. This is a book on love and how love works in our lives. With Love and Devotion to All

Book excerpt: The pioneering scholar and author of Food and Faith and Living the Sabbath asserts that Christianity has slid off its rightful foundation, arguing that the faith only makes sense and can only be expressed in a healthy way if it seen as based on love, with a mission of training others in the way of love. It’s often said that God is love, yet his message of compassion and caring for others is often overshadowed by the battles dividing us politically, culturally, and religiously. Why does Christianity matter if it isn’t about love? asks Duke University professor of Theology and Ecology Norman Wirzba. The Way of Love invites readers to experience Christianity that is centered on love. Extensive theological training cannot replace the way of love that transforms and connects each of us to God and the faith, Wirzba contends. Interweaving illuminating testimonials, historical references, and Scripture, he reveals how love allows us to move into the fullness of life; when we do not love we lose our faith. “To fail to love,” he reminds us, “is to lose God.”

Book excerpt: St. Thérèse of Lisieux sought a new way to Heaven: “a little way that is quite straight, quite short: a completely new little way.” Blessed with personal limitations that might have discouraged another, Thérèse believed God would not have given her a desire for holiness if He did not intend for her to achieve it. She learned to humbly accept herself as she was and trust completely in God’s love. First given as a retreat by renowned author Father Jacques Philippe, The Way of Trust and Love navigates excerpts of St. Thérèse’s writings phrase by phrase, extracting powerful, resonating insights. To Thérèse, the journey seemed “little” as she traveled it. A hundred and fifteen years after her death, the message of the young saint and Doctor of the Church has traveled around the world inspiring millions. With this newly translated study of her spirituality, many today will rediscover—or find for the first time—the relevance of “the little way,” in all seasons of life. Fr. Jacques Philippe is well-known for his books on prayer and spirituality. A member of the Community of the Beatitudes, he regularly preaches retreats in France and abroad. He also spends much of his time giving spiritual direction and working for the development of the Community in Asia and Oceania where he travels frequently. View Fr. Book excerpt: Millions of Christians have struggled with how to reconcile God's love and God's judgment: Has God created billions of people over thousands of years only to select a few to go to heaven and everyone else to suffer forever in hell? Is this acceptable to God? How is this "good news"? Troubling questions—so troubling that many have lost their faith because of them. Others only whisper the questions to themselves, fearing or being taught that they might lose their faith and their church if they ask them out loud. But what if these questions trouble us for good reason? What if the story of heaven and hell we have been taught is not, in fact, what the Bible teaches? What if what Jesus meant by heaven, hell, and salvation are very different from how we have come to understand them? What if it is God who wants us to face these questions? Author, pastor, and innovative teacher Rob Bell presents a deeply biblical vision for rediscovering a richer, grander, truer, and more spiritually satisfying way of understanding heaven, hell, God, Jesus, salvation, and repentance. The result is the discovery that the "good news" is much, much better than we ever imagined. Love wins.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Sūfism, the religious philosophy of Islam, is described in the oldest extant definition as 'the apprehension of divine realities,' and Mohammedan mystics are fond of calling themselves Ahl al-Haqq, 'the followers of the Real.' In attempting to set forth their central doctrines from this point of view, the author draws to some extent on materials which he has collected for a history of Islamic mysticism. This edition provides an easy approach to the study of Islamic mysticism. Apart what the general reader requires to be told at first about Sūfism; the book includes a large amount of material that will be new even to professional Orientalists. Dr. Nicholson sets before us the results of twenty years' unremitting labour, and that, too, with remarkable simplicity and clarity for such a subject; at the same time he lets the mystics mostly speak for themselves and mainly in his own fine versions from the original Arabic and Persian.

Book excerpt: The author has tried to give the most detailed answers to specific questions through his many years of experience of independent out-of-body explorations of the Ethereal World: how to die correctly? How to learn to accept your death in time? How the transformation of subtle bodies takes place during the postmortem transition? This book, describing in the most detailed way the changing state of a person’s Consciousness during the process called «dying» and his Soul’s presence in various vibrations of the energies of the Astral, is also a kind of manual of religious therapy and eschatological psychosurgery, carried out through the most detailed texts of “Instructions” read by relatives for the dying ones or an already dead person in order to strengthen and awaken his Consciousness before the Transition to the Other World. Among other things, this book can safely be classified as one of the most detailed travel guides to the many realms and spheres of the Ethereal World, which we commonly refer to as the «afterlife».

Book excerpt: A passionate and deep exploration of how love is essential to our spiritual growth and development, from beloved author and teacher A. H. Almaas. Love is a universal energy--and a primary force that powers our movement toward spiritual illumination. All the ways we need love are simply reflections of our need for spiritual growth. In Love Unveiled, A. H. Almaas explores three dimensions of love: appreciative love--the true liking of somebody or something; merging or connecting love--a force that melts away separateness; and passionate, ecstatic love--capable of consuming us from inside. In their own way, each reveals the beauty and exquisiteness of our spiritual heart, which is the heart of the divine. However, the path of spiritual love is not without challenges. Almaas explores the barriers that tend to block our experience of loving awakening and provides experiential exercises throughout the book to help readers along their path. The exercises focus on the obstacles or misunderstandings that commonly arise for each quality or dimension of love. Presented in the form of writing or monologuing prompts, readers can work independently or in small groups to confront the emotional obstacles on their spiritual path. Regardless of where you are on your path, Love Unveiled will help you explore love in three essential dimensions and gain a deeper connection to yourself.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Abandon dead, dry, religious rule-keeping and embrace the promise of being truly known and deeply loved. Jefferson Bethke burst into the cultural conversation with a passionate, provocative poem titled "Why I Hate Religion, But Love Jesus." The 4-minute video became an overnight sensation, with 7 million YouTube views in its first 48 hours (and 23+ million in a year). Bethke's message clearly struck a chord with believers and nonbelievers alike, triggering an avalanche of responses running the gamut from encouraged to enraged. In his New York Times bestseller Jesus > Religion, Bethke unpacks similar contrasts that he drew in the poem--highlighting the difference between teeth gritting and grace, law and love, performance and peace, despair, and hope. With refreshing candor, he delves into the motivation behind his message, beginning with the unvarnished tale of his own plunge from the pinnacle of a works-based, fake-smile existence that sapped his strength and led him down a path of destructive behavior. Along the way, Bethke gives you the tools you need to: Humbly and prayerfully open your mind Understand Jesus for all that he is View the church from a brand-new perspective Bethke is quick to acknowledge that he's not a pastor or theologian, but simply an ordinary, twenty-something who cried out for a life greater than the one for which he had settled. On this journey, Bethke discovered the real Jesus, who beckoned him with love beyond the props of false religion. Praise for Jesus > Religion: "Jeff's book will make you stop and listen to a voice in your heart that may have been drowned out by the noise of religion. Listen to that voice, then follow it--right to the feet of Jesus." --Bob Goff, author of New York Times bestsellers Love Does and Everybody, Always "The book you hold in your hands is Donald Miller's Blue Like Jazz meets C. S. Lewis's Mere Christianity meets Augustine's Confessions. This book is going to awaken an entire generation to Jesus and His grace." --Derwin L. Gray, lead pastor of Transformation Church, author of Limitless Life: Breaking Free from the Labels That Hold You Back

Book excerpt: These poems came out of the love Dr. Yadusky has for his wife, Margaret, and his children. The will to create and the will to love are one. Poems make love visible, and by doing so they uplift and heal, because in the presence of love everything is healed. Poetry at its essence depicts a spiritual world, because the mind seeks truth, the heart seeks love, and the spirit seeks goodness and God. Poems awaken something in the reader's heart that is beyond knowledge. We can define poetic creation in the same way that we define art itself, namely, spirit expressed into matter. Poets say tangibly what they feel intangibly to give finite form to the infinite. When Dr. Yadusky depicts this creative spirit of love, he shows us the face of God.
