Book excerpt: This book is about important discoveries concerning our human existence and the subconscious mind. I have extrasensory perception abilities that enable me to perceive the subconscious mind as a certain substance in and around man. In this book I describe this invisible world. In my view, the subconscious mind is the most important factor that determines our personality, our life and misery in the world. The theory that I advance, offers an explanation for life as we know it. It offers an explanation for human behaviour, views of life, occurrences and life circumstances, the existence of richness and poverty, the presence or the absence of talents, health, love, ... It explains the sense, or rather the nonsense of life as we know it on this planet.I have developed a psychic techniquethat can act profoundly on the subconscious mind, which I have called "the SL technique (SLT)". SL stands for 'Soul Liberation'. This psychic method is a powerful means to fundamentally improve personality, abilities, life circumstances and health. According to my views, the subconscious mind contains millions of programmes that suppress our original being, knowledge and capacities for almost 100%. The SL technique can restore the suppressed potential of man (of the soul that resides in man). The SL technique is apath to a better world. The SL method is awayto bring about profound, previously unseen changes in man and in life, thus putting an end to all kinds of misery.Although the SL technique is a psychic technique that requires a person to have exceptional psychic abilities, it is possible to be trained in this method, although there is often a long way to go in order to achieve this. As a result of this training, one will acquire the ability to perceive the subconscious mind and to profoundly impact on it. And then one will have a powerful tool at one's disposal to change one's own personality and one's own life as well as those of others for the better.People sometimes tell me that the other methods that exist for improving personality and remedying all kinds of problems, are also capable of doing the same things as the SL-technique, or that other people with psychic abilities can do the same thingsas with SLT. However, this is not true. I'm the first to recognize that the techniques that exist certainly have their value, and that they have helped many people with all kinds of problems and that people with psychic abilities without a doubt have helped many people. Nevertheless, there are thousands of issues that can't be fixed by the existing techniques or the known psychic abilities. There is a great deal of misery in the world, which the existing techniques can't do much about, otherwise the world wouldn't be in the condition it is in. There are tens of thousands of people with psychic abilities, but these abilities are not the abilities required to be able to perform SLT. And there are hundreds of techniques that can indeed remedy a number of things. But, as I mentioned before, there are thousands of problems that can't be remedied by all those methods. For example, no single one of those techniques can turn a psychopath into a loving person. This is only one of the thousands of issues that can change with SLT, although many hours of work would be required for this result to be accomplished.

Book excerpt: Book about the subconscious mind and a distance healing technique: "The subconscious mind around man, and how it determines personality and life".There is no denying that there is a lot of misery in the world. According to my views, the origin of suffering is to be found in the subconscious mind. Consequently, if changes could be brought about in people's subconscious minds on a large scale, both the lives of these people and the world would improve.

Book excerpt: This book presents a new view on man and on life as well as a distance healing therapy (NPL healing, New Personality and Life healing) and a free self-help healing technique (NPL self-treatment). These techniques can profoundly change people and their lives for the better by impacting on the subconscious mind. The theory advanced by the author holds that the personality and life of people are determined by the subconscious mind. This subconscious mind is present around the soul that incarnates in a body, in the form of programmes or 'patterns' (negative) and energies (positive). The patterns are responsible for difficulties we have in life regarding personality, talents, health, circumstances and occurrences in life. Every pattern has a certain contents, for example 'you feel inferior' or 'there is no love in your life', or 'you think slowly', etc. Every energy holds a certain quality that is manifested in the person around whom it is present. When someone is honest, has affluence, is intelligent, is healthy and loving, then these characteristics are the result of energies surrounding him holding these qualities. The author is able to perceive the subconscious mind around people and to destroy the patterns as a result of which the negative characteristics they caused will cease to exist. In this process, underlying energies are released. NPL healing is a powerful way for improving personality and life, and it is also a path to spiritual enlightenment, since it can liberate the soul/person from the negative programmes in the subconscious mind and restore the soul to its original enlightened state.Promotion: everybody who buys a copy of this book can receive 10 hours of free distance NPL therapy. System 1 is fast, intuitive, and emotional; System 2 is slower, more deliberative, and more logical. The impact of overconfidence on corporate strategies, the difficulties of predicting what will make us happy in the future, the profound effect of cognitive biases on everything from playing the stock market to planning our next vacation—each of these can be understood only by knowing how the two systems shape our judgments and decisions. Engaging the reader in a lively conversation about how we think, Kahneman reveals where we can and cannot trust our intuitions and how we can tap into the benefits of slow thinking. He offers practical and enlightening insights into how choices are made in both our business and our personal lives—and how we can use different techniques to guard against the mental glitches that often get us into trouble. Winner of the National Academy of Sciences Best Book Award and the Los Angeles Times Book Prize and selected by The New York Times Book Review as one of the ten best books of 2011, Thinking, Fast and Slow is destined to be a classic.

Book excerpt: The $12 billion self-help industry is under constant attack for pedaling false miracles to duped believers. But sociologist Albert Amao demonstrates that Americans eagerly support self-help books, seminars, and programs because, under the right conditions, these things work. Sociologist Albert Amao analyzes the accuracy of self-help and positive-thinking claims in this groundbreaking--and wholly unexpected--exploration of what works, what doesn't, and why. "Regarding my personal experience," Amao writes, "I can testify that positive thinking and positive action have worked wonderfully for me. Born in a poor Latin-American country into a very impoverished family with both parents practically illiterate, I was the oldest of five children. I started working when I was six years old, shining shoes and selling newspapers to help my family. Nobody then would have believed that I would be able to finish high school. Nevertheless, I was able to do it going to night school, which allowed me to be admitted at the San Marcos University in Lima to get my Ph.D. in sociology. All these things were possible because, when I was teenager, I had access to New Thought," or positive-thinking philosophy. Contrary to the critics who blithely dismiss self-help methods, or the New Age gurus who sell it them as miracles, Amao--writing with sobriety, scholarship, and drawing on deep personal experience--explores the conditions under which self-help is authentic.

He was educated at the University of Edinburgh and became a tutor and master of an academy before his receiving an appointment in the Church of Scotland. But he became most well-known for his involvement with prophecy, millenarianism, and speaking in tongues. These issues led to his being removed from the Church of Scotland on the charge of heresy. This volume provides an engaging examination of Irving, both in biographical detail and the controversies that surrounded him.

And the author believes that a right mindset is enough to yield a remarkable life.

Book excerpt: Hypnotherapy is a spiritual science, with tremendous possibilities of achieving holistic health, without using medicines. Use of hypnosis in treatment is known for millennia and had become popular in the 19th century. But, with the advent of psychoanalysis and advanced medical facilities, it declined in popularity, to be revived in the second half of last century. Modern hypnotherapy is a rather young branch of healing discipline. It is not properly understood and not utilized to its full extent, mainly due to the misconceptions and lack of awareness. In ‘Hypnotherapy: Healing through the Mind’ Dr. Uma Devi has tried to present hypnosis and its therapeutic uses and benefits in a simple manner. The principles and procedures of hypnotherapy and its applications are described, with actual case studies from the author’s experience. Its easily understandable language and lucid presentation are sure to make the book appealing to the readers. This book fills a lacuna in the published literature on clinical hypnotherapy, where the different aspects of hypnotherapy and its varied applications are presented under a single title. Topics covered include power of subconscious mind, steps in hypnotherapy session, emotional basis of physical diseases, visualisation and guided imagery, self hypnosis and regression therapy. Applications including case studies in clinical, non-clinical and childrens issues are described.
