If my notes, as now completed, are somewhat more numerous than Mr. Collar's, it is partly because the editors-in-chief of the Series requested me to keep in view the wants of beginners, and partly because the peculiar phrases and constructions of Quintus Curtius frequently present difficulties even to students who have already made some acquaintance with Latin prose through Caesar or Nepos.
