Book Synopsis Parsifal Unveiled by : Samael Aun Weor
Download or read book Parsifal Unveiled written by Samael Aun Weor and published by Glorian Publishing. This book was released on 2013-11-19 with total page 252 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "When religion becomes artificial, art has a duty to rescue it. Art can show that the symbols which religions would have us believe literally true are actually figurative. Art can idealize those symbols, and so reveal the profound truths they contain." - Richard Wagner Parsifal, the epic, final opera by Richard Wagner, stunned audiences and set the stage for the decline of modern civilization. For more than one hundred years, Parsifal has been one of the most controversial dramatic works in the world, not only moving the world's top composers and writers to tears and inspiring generations of creative geniuses, but it was also admired by Adolf Hitler. Wagner's retelling of the myth of the Holy Grail and the knights who protect it showed the secret path to liberation from suffering, but no one understood it. Wagner himself never explained Parsifal, and in his wake thousands of writers, critics, and artists have attempted to penetrate its mysteries yet have failed, since they were not initiated into the secret tradition it came from. Finally, in this book by Samael Aun Weor, the meaning of Parsifal is fully revealed, and the genius and spiritual accomplishments of Richard Wagner are made radiantly clear. "The year 1914 will always be a memorable date among the remarkable dates of this humanity, because of the explosion of the First World War and the simultaneous debut of Parsifal in all the civilized world." - Samael Aun Weor Features: • A complete exposure of the spiritual archetypes hidden in Parsifal, with examples from other religions and mythologies • Detailed instructions for sexual transmutation, including postures and mantras • Includes the complete libretto of Parsifal

Book Synopsis Spirits of the Lesser Gods by : Rhonda McClenton
Download or read book Spirits of the Lesser Gods written by Rhonda McClenton and published by Universal-Publishers. This book was released on 2007-02 with total page 413 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Reiki is an emerging adjunctive therapy that claims to provide physical and psychological healing as well as an experience of spiritual connection. It is increasingly employed in counseling centers, hospitals, and even churches. Reiki is believed by many to be a safe, non-invasive healing intervention that draws individuals towards God. Reiki practitioners maintain that they imitate Jesus' laying on of hands and claim that their praxis is essentially the same as the healing used by Jesus as well as by Buddha. An ethnographic multi-case study was performed comparing the experiences of nine individuals, four who received Reiki therapy and five who received Christ-based hands-on healing. The long interview format was employed. The transcribed data were coded and analyzed for similar and distinct themes. In addition, a brief survey was utilized to determine the spiritual interests and involvement of each participant and the spiritual consequences of their healing experiences. The findings indicate that Reiki healing is distinct from that which is depicted in the Bible. Reiki appears to open up individuals to an "energy-based" healing modality that is spiritual in nature but is not specifically Christian. As reported by Reiki practitioners, it is a spirituality which welcomes shamanism, psychic healing, clairvoyance, spirit guides, and a host of other metaphysical practices as individuals become more intimately involved. In addition, the research demonstrates that Reiki therapy, over time, can cause physical, emotional, and spiritual harm. The writer contends that biblical healing, which at its core is soteriological and dependent upon the ministry of the Holy Spirit, heals mind, body, and spirit without harmful consequences.

Book Synopsis Controversial Bodies by : John D. Lantos
Download or read book Controversial Bodies written by John D. Lantos and published by JHU Press. This book was released on 2011-10-03 with total page 158 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Controversial, fascinating, disturbing, and often beautiful, plastinated human bodies—such as those found at Body Worlds exhibitions throughout the world—have gripped the public's imagination. These displays have been lauded as educational, sparked protests, and drawn millions of visitors. This book looks at the powerful sway these corpses hold over their living audiences everywhere. Plastination was invented in the 1970s by German anatomist Gunther von Hagens. The process transforms living tissues into moldable plastic that can then be hardened into a permanent shape. Von Hagens first exhibited his expertly dissected, artfully posed plastinated bodies in Japan in 1995. Since then, his shows have continuously attracted so many paying customers that they have inspired imitators, brought accusations of unethical or even illegal behavior, and ignited vigorous debates among scientists, educators, religious leaders, and law enforcement officials. These lively, thought-provoking, and sometimes personal essays reflect on such public displays from ethical, legal, cultural, religious, pedagogical, and aesthetic perspectives. They examine what lies behind the exhibitions' popularity and explore the ramifications of turning corpses into a spectacle of amusement. Contributions from bioethicists, historians, physicians, anatomists, theologians, and novelists dig deeply into issues that compel, upset, and unsettle us all.

This book was released on 2010-06 with total page 233 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The number 7 has a very large significance in our lives and in spiritual teachings. It can be traced back right to the beginning of creation. It's a mystical and powerful number according to numerology and eastern philosophies. One could also say that it is God's number because, symbolically, God created the world in seven days. This book explains the 7's connection with our religious, spiritual, scientific and physical lives, and the wonders and workings in nature. The book also addresses the occurrence of the 7 in the human body, making us a part of nature. Hans Liszikam resides in New South Wales, Australia. His trade background is in building/construction and transport. At the young age of 72, he spends most of his time writing and is still active in facilitating workshops and working as a guest speaker/psychic medium in spiritual churches. Book Synopsis The Time of Christ's Return Revealed - Revised Edition by : Charles P. Pierce
Download or read book The Time of Christ's Return Revealed - Revised Edition written by Charles P. Pierce and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2009-08-31 with total page 544 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is the real thing! If you want to know when Jesus Christ will return to reign as LORD over all the earth, this book will tell you. The book is controversial because it is unique. The time given directly from the Bible is distant, unlike the majority of current views expounding the theory that the time of Christ’s return is imminent in their lifetime. Multiple witnesses of scripture are used to provide Biblical evidence for definite timing of events. The book of Daniel gives the number of years between when the second Temple was destroyed in 70 AD until the Lord builds the Millennial Temple. Daniel also tells us the number of days it will take the Lord to replace the third Temple with the Millennial Temple. In the Gospel of John, Jesus tells us when He will build the Millennial Temple. Many witnesses throughout the Bible, including the book of Joshua, each confirm the same timing of events. The Church is given truth with the goal of increasing The Kingdom of God. The cause of problems and their effects are revealed along with a solution. Those who have ears to hear will do more than just listen. 523 page count 37 black and white images
Book Synopsis Unveiling Mysteries of the Universe by : Robert Groves
Download or read book Unveiling Mysteries of the Universe written by Robert Groves and published by Balboa Press. This book was released on 2023-08-09 with total page 330 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is one in a series from the author explaining many of the creative principles of the universe, including how we co-create and co-operate the universe as conscious human beings. It originates from information gained through the author’s experience of death, going beyond the start of creation, and his return journey into manifestation observing and participating in the processes of creation. This story is told in terms of philosophy, religion, physics, music, sacred geometry, medicine, politics, biology, fairy tales, and wisdom sayings to help the reader understand how we as individuals operate in manifestation. Much like an owner’s manual, it shows how and why we came here, what we are doing here, how we make, maintain and regenerate our bodies, and how to consciously return to our Source of being. The book also delves deeply into the esoteric meanings behind often cryptic phrases of the Bible and other documents bringing them to light in modern day concepts and terms free of the shame and condemnation so common in dogmatic teachings. Come join in the process of discovery as the universe unveils its mysteries along our path.

Download or read book Glocal Bodies written by Elaheh Hatami and published by transcript Verlag. This book was released on 2022-10-31 with total page 203 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is a critical study of Iranian dance and the works of Iranian-American female dancers in exile. Focusing on the study of contemporary Iranian dance through analysis of the choreographies of three female dancers in diaspora (namely Aisan Hoss, Shahrzad Khorsandi, and Banafsheh Sayyad), this research is among the first of its kind. Elaheh Hatami investigates the transformation of professional Iranian dance and discusses the role of relocation and displacement in its performance. She argues that Iranian dance and Iranian female dancers have always been in exile - not only in a physical sense, but also in the metaphorical sense of ›exile‹ implying foreignness, exclusion, and marginalization.
Book Synopsis Human remains and identification by : Jean-Marc Dreyfus
Download or read book Human remains and identification written by Jean-Marc Dreyfus and published by Manchester University Press. This book was released on 2015-07-01 with total page 293 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This electronic version has been made available under a Creative Commons (BY-NC-ND) open access license. Human remains and identification presents a pioneering investigation into the practices and methodologies used in the search for and exhumation of dead bodies resulting from mass violence. Previously absent from forensic debate, social scientists and historians here confront historical and contemporary exhumations with the application of social context to create an innovative and interdisciplinary dialogue, enlightening the political, social and legal aspects of mass crime and its aftermaths. Through a ground-breaking selection of international case studies, Human remains and identification argues that the emergence of new technologies to facilitate the identification of dead bodies has led to a "forensic turn", normalising exhumations as a method of dealing with human remains en masse. However, are these exhumations always made for legitimate reasons? Multidisciplinary in scope, this book will appeal to readers interested in understanding this crucial phase of mass violence's aftermath, including researchers in history, anthropology, sociology, forensic science, law, politics and modern warfare. The research program leading to this publication has received funding from the European Research Council under the European Union's Seventh Framework Programme (FP/2007-2013) / ERC Grant Agreement n° 283-617.
