Book excerpt: This book brings insight into one of the most fearful, mysterious and little-understood prophecies that was spoken by Jesus of Nazareth in Matthew 7:21-23 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven...And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. KJV This quotation makes no easy message for a book, but as a gifted inspired writer Wlazlak is up to the challenge. He confronts the disturbing issue head -on, does not avert his gaze and presents the reader with a new and convincing interpretation of Christ's message. This expository teaching goes deep into the motives of those who profess to know God by placing burdensome rules upon church parishioners. His new book will be highly controversial among Christian readers: too sharp-edged, to thought-provoking is the message to just go down easy; too truthful maybe are the conclusions that he proclaims.

It is about that which is hidden in the hearts of man connecting him with the desires of his flesh. Since the fall of man and having been infected by a sinful nature, we struggle even to become aware of the working of this inquity that is out of control. This book reveals to us the blindness and influence that is the result of not accepting the fact that we must struggle spiritually in every area of our lives to overcome deceit and starting within. We can not accomplish this without the help of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Deception is the most powerful force against mankind and until we realize that we are in spiritual warfare, our perceptions of life will remain dim and confused. God hates deception even the practice of it for any reason. (Galatians 6:7, KJV)

Book excerpt: This book addresses two dangerous beliefs prevalent today. On one hand there are religious people who profess to be Christians having been convinced by a powerful religious deception that they are saved. These people have no clue about what it means to be saved, thus bringing into question their salvation experience. On the other hand there are sincere believers who doubt their salvation because of feelings of condemnations also produced by a religious deception. Pick up this book authored by Joseph Saul Portillo to find out exactly where you stand. Things are not always what they seem and people are not always what they claim to be.

What if the only reason why it seems that religion has failed on you, is because you have been hearing lies that do not match the real God? What if the truth has been remaining hidden from you on purpose? And what if you could forgive yourself for being deceived? What if you could change your life by getting access to the real truth? This truth is so important, that without it, you will never know why the life of so many seems so chaotic and without a positive end, despite all the prayers and dedication to rituals of various nature. In fact, if you wish to become more religious, this book can help you correct your practice towards this truth, while avoiding being deceived as so many others have been. For this is the truth that God wishes you to access through your own existence, with your own awareness and ethics, and not just a blind faith.

Life happens to us all, but we have the power to change those things in our life that is not pleasing to us or pleasing to God. He has given us tools to use. He has made us overcomers. Nothing is impossible, we simply have to believe. Faith is a powerful force. Faith grabs hold to everything Jesus made available to us. Faith is a go getter. We got to command faith to go get and grab hold to what JESUS has already supplied and not let go of this truth. By doing this, we receive the manifestation of what we are believing for. Faith gets it to show up in our life. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1) I wrote this book because I once use to have a boulder in my eye and had many wounds I caused upon myself through ignorance, void of understanding and selfishness. I didn't understand why things was going on in my life the way they were. I didn't understand spiritual things because I wasn't in the word of God and being taught the word to know how to use it and apply it to my life. I was a Christian but I didn't have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. I only had religious traditions. Which means, I was walking in no power. Now, I can help others. I don't like seeing people defeated or trapped by Satan's tricks and deception. He do operate through people and we got to be wise so he doesn't take advantage of us because we won't be ignorant to his devices. Getting in the word and learning the word changed my mindset from carnal to spiritual. I walk in the authority given to me by God. It is your right and the will of God for you to walk in it too. It is my passion to see you experiencing Jesus and all He has done for you. You can receive your freedom in him, be healed and made whole. He already did it for us when He died on the cross over 2,000 years ago. We got to believe it and receive this truth in our heart. It must begin with making a decision to be aware, ready to take responsibility and deal with it. ANALYZE & BREAK FREE FROM THOSE SELF-INFLICTED WOUNDS

Book excerpt: Stephen Villanueva argues that We Have Been Lied To-not by God, the Author of Truth, but by the enemy who has worked tirelessly to pervert the truth and deceive our gullible hearts. Although some have slipped through the confusion with an understanding of truth, many of us in the body of Christ have unwittingly been living in a religious deception that has perpetuated a search for spiritual completion rather than the fulfillment God promised. We Have Been Lied To dares you to consider that in the cocoon of mainstream Christianity there is a chance that you have unknowingly been captured by the deceptions of the enemy. Stephen Villanueva dares you to experience what it means to walk by faith in the Spirit of God and experience oneness with Him. You may love this book or you may hate it, but one thing is certain: it will change your life and revolutionize your view of the religion of Christianity

Book excerpt: This book is a wake-up call for Christians who are suffering from the rampant - yet unrecognized - effects caused by the deception of idolatry. Idolatry is not an outdated practice of extinct religions; it is very much alive and flourishing today. Most Christians who practice idolatry aren't even aware of it. They are suffering spiritually, emotionally, and even physically but can't connect the dots between their misery and their practice of idolatry. How does this happen? Instead of giving the best of our love To The God who deserves it, many Christians have gradually fallen more and more in love with what God created, instead of the Creator Himself. With our lips we tell God we love Him, but our everyday thoughts and actions may be revealing that we have other "lovers." These so called lovers seem innocent enough because they offer to give us what we want. But in the end, they betray us by taking the best of what God has given, only to leave us poor, empty, and dead inside. Now For The Good News: Our God isn't afraid of idols or idolaters! He is a compassionate and merciful God who may be saying to you today, "Do you know why I stopped you from running after your other lovers?" We may even sense His anger, but it is really the passion of a loving God who hates to see His children damaged by the sin of serving false gods. Like any good father, He wants His children to have the best, and it just so happens, HE IS THE BEST! Even though you are a Christian, do you find yourself battling emptiness, hopelessness, loneliness, or despair? it may be that you are suffering from "Too Many Lovers."

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Self-deception occurs because we often see the world the way we would like it to be, rather than the way it is. Our brains so long for things the way we want them, we might not even be aware we are fooling ourselves, explains author Harry Triandis, a widely known Professor Emeritus of Psychology. Across cultures and around the world, self-deception is a phenomenon that has subtle and profound effects on everyday life, explains Triandis, also former president of the International Association of Cross-Cultural Psychology. In this work, he not only explains how and why self-deceptions occur in three areas - politics, religion, and terrorism - but also how to recognize and reduce the frequency of fooling ourselves. Insights here include consideration of personal and societal self-deceptions, as well as extensive understanding of how politics, ideologies, and religions can frame reality for each of us in such a way that it is, in our minds, warped so the stage is well-set for self-deception. This text will be of special interest to general readers drawn to politics and religion, as well as scholars of psychology, anthropology, and sociology.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Do you really believe in the only true and living God? Are you tired of false religion and now hunger and thirst after righteousness? Are you deceived and not sure if you are a true Christian? Are you 100% sure that Jesus Christ is indeed alive? You may attend church or religious services but have you ever truly worshipped God? Do you know God for yourself? Did you know that you can be 100% sure you will spend eternity in Heaven the moment Christ enters your body? Is your fiancé or spouse a recipient of the 'Spirit of Truth' (in the Lord), so as to prevent you from ever being divorced biblically? Do you really know the truth and the whole truth about Homosexuality? Do you have divine permission to worship God? Did you know that even if you are confirmed or water baptized you cannot worship God in a church, in a cathedral, in a synagogue, in a mosque, in a temple or as you wish? He can only be worshipped in spirit and in truth with the 'Spirit of Truth', after being born of his Spirit through the atoning blood of Christ his Son. This powerfully inspiring book answers all those crucial questions according to Christ that any sensible person should know before attempting to worship the one and only true God. It also addresses many controversial issues that confront the cutting edge of Christian living in this evolving, secular world, including solutions to spousal abuse. Before Christ revealed Himself to me, I did not know if Heaven was real and I thought hell was just an illusion. However, after Christ revealed Himself to me, I discovered Heaven is real and hell is no joke. This book expounds to the core, pure religion, salvation and the imperativeness of a totally surrendered heart in seeking God. It offers to every person (without Christ) an opportunity to know God supernaturally and diligently exploit his power and love. Believing in God or Christ is not enough; you must also know them both supernaturally to make it into the kingdom of Heaven. These pages are filled with anointed, intricate, prolific, corrective, expository, edifying revelations (spiritual insights) and teachings that many Christian ministers have not had the courage, tenacity or conviction to address and discuss with clarity and implicit intrusiveness. Virtually, combined with a passionate desire to speak the truth always, it is the equivalent of the best (simplified) Bible translation for the purpose of personal Bible study, soul winning and revival you have ever laid your hands on. Read and adhered to 'for such a time as this', it will set your mind, body, soul and spirit on divine fire. The teachings and insights will also profoundly permeate your conscience, heart, mind and soul as you ingest every word. Cutting like a two-edged sword, it compels a person to experience the divine presence of the true and living God. This book is definitely the ultimate key to true worship and an urgent wake up call to all of humanity. Every person that believes in God ought to secure a copy of this book or present it as a gift to a non-Christian.

Book excerpt: Kant's Religion within the Boundaries of Mere Reason is one of the great modern examinations of religion's meaning, function and impact on human affairs. In this volume, the first complete English-language commentary on the work, James J. DiCenso explains the historical context in which the book appeared, including the importance of Kant's conflict with state censorship. He shows how the Religion addresses crucial Kantian themes such as the relationship between freedom and morality, the human propensity to evil, the status of historical traditions in relation to ethical principles, and the interface between individual ethics and social institutions. The major arguments are clearly and precisely explained, and the themes are highlighted and located within Kant's mature critical philosophy, especially his ethics. The commentary will be valuable for all who are interested in the continuing relevance of religion for contemporary inquiries into ethics, public institutions and religious traditions.
