After her complete freakout at a high school party, her family is too. So much that they pack their bags and move across the country, next to a nationally-renowned facility for the mentally ill. Tess is determined to fit in at her new school, despite the whispers and stares. But when it comes to Luka Williams, a reluctantly popular boy in her class, she’s unused to a stare that intense. Then the headaches start, and the seemingly prophetic dreams that haunt her at night. As Tess tries harder to hide them, she becomes increasingly convinced that Luka knows something—that he might somehow be responsible. But what if she’s wrong? What if Luka Williams is the only thing separating her from a madness too terrifying to fathom?

Handsome farmhand Evan Price has taken care of the Quinn farm for years. When Bethany is left the land, Evan must fight her decisions to realize his dreams. But even as he disagrees with Bethany’s vision, Evan feels drawn to her and the pain she keeps so carefully locked away. For Bethany, making peace with her past and the God of her childhood doesn’t seem like the path to freedom. Is letting go the only way to new life, love and a peace that she’s not even sure exists?

Stop wondering or worrying about divorce or unmarried sex. You are free to seek happiness and relate to people as you wish. God loves you and would never harm you or anyone else. You were created as God initially intended. This book is proven and supported by many facts and common sense. Everyone is going to heaven. You will see all your loved ones who passed away again. You will live forever. Everyone wants to know what the secret of the universe and the true religion is, and this is it. You can help spread, The Truth Is Better Support Movement, which is divinely guided and the will of God. See the divine revelations on pages 9, 10, and 11. Two thousand years ago, God felt it was imperative to initiate and implement some form of moral directive. The Bible's stories and teachings were designed to create a certain ideal mind-set in its followers, but its method was to draw upon much fiction in order to do so. So the Bible was not designed just to tell us all that was true, but what it wanted us to believe was true.

For example, several essays investigate sources - literary, pictorial, architectural - and Milton's use of those sources in his poetry. Others view Milton from the perspective of his age and seventeenth-century contemporaries such as Michael Drayton and Aemelia Lanyer.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Geoffrey P. Miller argues that the narratives from Genesis to Second Kings present a sophisticated argument for political obligation and for limited monarchy as the best form of government. The Hebrew Bible, in this sense, can be considered as one of the earliest political philosopies of the western world. The Garden of Eden story identifies revelation, consent, utopia, natural law, ownership, power, patriarchy, and justice as bases for political obligation. The stories of life after the expulsion from Eden argue that government and law are essential for a decent life. The Genesis narratives recognize patriarchal authority but also identifies limits based on kinship, higher authority and power. The book of Exodus introduces the topic of political authority, arguing that nationhood strictly dominates over other forms of political organization. The Sinai narratives explore two important sources of authority: revelation and consent of the governed. The book of Joshua presents a theory of sovereignty conceived of as the exclusive and absolute control over territory. The book of Judges examines two types of national government: military rule and confederacy. It argues that military rule is inappropriate for peacetime conditions and that the confederate form is not strong enough to deliver the benefits of nationhood. The books of Samuel and Kings consider theocracy and monarchy. The bible endorses monarchy as the best available form of government provided that the king is constrained by appropriate checks and balances. Contrary to the view of some scholars, no text from Genesis to Second Kings disapproves of monarchy as a form of government.

Book excerpt: The nineteen essays in this collection explore such varied fields of argument as John Milton's authorship of the Christian Doctrine, his adaptations of source material, his engagement in political controversies, his attitudes toward gender in Paradise Lost and Samson Agonistes, and his reflection of seventeenth-century obstetrics and anticipation of modern chaos theory in Paradise Lost. In their sometimes complementary, sometimes contradictory, and consistently interrogative views of Milton and his work, these essays offer an "arena of conflict" for future studies.

Book excerpt: There are many ways to be a Christian. In Good News for Moderns author Nero James Pruitt shows that within the pages of the New Testament there is room for a diversity of Christianities. This is a diversity that is not talked about often but, when properly understood, expands the perception of what a Christian is. Consider the words of Justin Martyr the second century Christian writer recognized as a saint by the Catholic Church, the Anglicans and the Eastern Orthodox in about 150 AD: We are taught that Christ is the first born of God, and we have shown that He is the reason (word) of whom the whole human race partake. And those who live according to reason are Christians, even though they are counted atheists. Such were Socrates and Heraclitus among the Greeks, and those like them.... Consider the words of John Adams the second President of the United States in 1816: The Ten Commandments and the Sermon on the Mount contain my religion. Consider the words Bill Clinton the forty-second President of the United States: In 1955, I had absorbed enough of my churchs teachings to know that I was a sinner and to want Jesus to save me Finally, consider the words of the writer of the small New Testament Book of III John: Whoever does good is from God... Good News for Moderns is based on Pruitts reading of the scriptures and over one hundred authors of various points of view. In our busy time it is brief slightly more than one hundred thousand words supplemented by slightly less than one hundred thousand words of end-notes. It recognizes that human life moves by fast in what seems like an infinity of time and space and the book closes this way: By listing many who have come before us and the immensity of time and space I have underscored the brevity of our lives because as a Psalmist taught, recognizing our own mortality is the path to wisdom.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Sometimes everything you ever learned about yourself is wrong Fashion is a fickle industry, a frightening fact for twenty-four year old model Ivy Clark. Ten years in and she’s learned a sacred truth—appearance is everything. Nobody cares about her broken past as long as she looks beautiful for the camera. This is the only life Ivy knows—so when it starts to unravel, she’ll do anything to hold on. Even if that means moving to the quaint island town of Greenbrier, South Carolina, to be the new face of her stepmother’s bridal wear line—an irony too rich for words, since Ivy is far from the pure bride in white. If only her tenuous future didn’t rest in the hands of Davis Knight, her mysterious new photographer. Not only did he walk away from the kind of success Ivy longs for to work maintenance at a local church, he treats her differently than any man ever has. Somehow, Davis sees through the façade she works so hard to maintain. He, along with a cast of other characters, challenges everything Ivy has come to believe about beauty and worth. Is it possible that God sees her—a woman stained and broken by the world—yet wants her still?
