This book traces the influence of his prophecies concerning a Third Age of the Spirit to come, as later expressed in the themes of New Spiritual Men, Last World Emperor, Angelic Pope, and Renovatio Mundi. It shows that these ideas were not only the mainspring of various heterodox groups, but also engaged the attention of certain church leaders, university scholars, Renaissance thinkers, Protestant theologians, and political rulers down to the seventeenth century.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Day of the Lord Is Coming Soon The common saying “Everything comes to an end” assumes that what has a beginning must logically have a conclusion. Rumors of wars, earthquakes, pestilence, and signs in the heavens have increased—and many believe that the End of the Age is upon us and a new age is about to be born. While some in power wish to promote that which is contrary to God’s Word, believers in Christ must continue to stand for righteousness and boldly speak the truth according to God’s Word. No man knows the day or the hour, but make no mistake…when the trumpet sounds, Jesus will be coming for His children. In The End of the Age Study Guide, New York Times bestselling author John Hagee examines the prophecies of the Bible in the context of the events taking place in our world. He reveals how through Bible prophecy, the Lord lays out our future, both in this life and in the life to come. He also shows that we are more than conquerors, called to abundance, confidence, and peace—when we have the knowledge of the truth found in God’s Word. The End of the Age represents quintessential teaching from John Hagee on Bible prophecy and is a must-read for all those concerned with God’s divine plan. Each lesson in this study guide corresponds to the book and includes the following sections: Explore the Scripture: key passages for you to explore with study questions Reflect on the Scripture: questions to help you reflect on the truths of the passage Act in Faith: questions to help you apply the message of the passage to your life

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The place of religion within a secular society has been much discussed in recent years, fueled in part by Charles Taylor's Secular Age (2007). The conversation surrounding Taylor's work suggests a widespread interest in religion in secular or post-secular contexts. Even as scholars have become increasingly interested in emerging and novel forms of religion, prophecy has continued to be depicted in traditional forms employed to further partisan agendas. In place of secularity as religious declension and culture clash, this volume explores prophetic works in a variety of forms, including satire, tragedy, the novel, Native American tradition, science fiction, the Bible, and higher education itself. Together the contributors demonstrate that there is much to learn from both religious and secular prophecy. The book is inspired by the idea that prophetic works are a promising subject area for a diverse audience in both higher education and the church. The volume's contributors demonstrate as much in that they work in a wide range of disciplines, including religious studies, biblical studies, theology, American studies, literature, philosophy, and political theory.

Book excerpt: If you knew sudden destruction would fall upon the earth in the next twenty-four hours, how would you spend your last moments? Join New York Times bestselling author John Hagee as he uses Scripture as a guide to count down the prophetic minutes through the events which must occur before every individual faces God on Judgment Day. Charting international news events, including recent peace agreements in the Middle East, Hagee synchronizes these headlines with the biblical timeline for the last days, producing a compelling argument that life on Earth is about to expire. What else must take place before the arrival of Judgment Day? This very timely message discusses: The reality of virtual terrorism The financial crisis and economic crash Opposing views of the Rapture Recent peace agreements in the Middle East that impact Israel and a potential Russian invasion Nuclear wars The purpose of the Tribulation and the Millennium Significantly updated and revised from its previous publication under the title From Daniel to Doomsday, this is quintessential Hagee on Bible prophecy and End-Times teaching. This insightful book is an ideal resource for Christians who are looking for a guide to what the Bible says about the end times--and how to recognize that they are approaching. Mark it down: The End of the Age is approaching, but it won't be ushered in by space aliens or catastrophic asteroids. Hagee guides us through the timeline before that fateful moment when every unredeemed individual must face God on Judgment Day.

Book excerpt: Who could have known how much influence the writings of a mysterious group of prophets and scribes hundreds of years before Christ would have on our understanding of end times prophecy? As it turns out, much of what we've been taught about Israel in the First Century is incomplete. There were, in fact, Jewish believers who knew exactly what to expect in the coming Messiah: that He would be God in the flesh and would die for our sins. If they accurately predicted the first arrival of Jesus, what did they say about His soon return? In this groundbreaking book, you will learn:?How an ancient Jewish calendar actually predicts the year 2025 AD as prophetically significant? How the enigmatic group, known as the Essenes, formed and what influence they had over the New Testament?Lost prophecies only recently discovered in the Dead Sea Scrolls about our time today? What messages the Essenes left behind for believers living in this present age?How the prophecies of Daniel and Revelation fit within the ancient Essene timetable? What hidden feasts and festivals the Essenes observed and what they point to in the future? What were the circumstances of the disappearance of the Essenes and how it connects to every Christian from the past two thousand yearsOnce you learn about the Essenes and the Dead Sea Scrolls they left behind, you will understand the entirety of the Bible in a brand new light. Finally, the prophetic texts of Scripture can be understood as originally intended. Discover what God is revealing in these final years of our current age and what is ahead in the next age, soon to come!

Book excerpt: For years Bible Prophecy teachers have consistently interpreted bible prophecy using a methodology that results in a maze of false predictions, speculations, and errors. What has been accepted as the traditional way of 'interpreting' bible prophecy has created an atmosphere of confusion for most students and laymen. Moreover, the majority of preachers, teachers, televangelists, and book authors today, have consistently redefined the term 'nations' as in governments, state, or country. However, the true biblical definition of the word nations, peoples, clans, tribes, or ethnic groups has been ignored and disregarded. And, it is by this definition that God deals with mankind. Unfortunately the vast majority of Bible Prophecy teachers use the substituted definition to interpret bible prophecy. Blurring the ability to know the 'who' and the 'why' of the prophecies, by diverting attention to the states, governments, or countries instead. As a result when the state (not nation) of Israel was reestablished in 1948, the Christian community proclaimed it to be a miraculous prophetic fulfillment. However the problem with this supposition is that the true biblical definition of 'nations' was completely ignored. The shocking reality is this, the current occupants residing in Israel today are not the true nation (people, tribe, clan, ethnic group) of Ysrael; and are not the sons of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob as identified in the scriptures. The 1980 Jewish Almanac and the Encyclopedia Judaica state that better than 95% of the Jews residing in the nation of Israel today, are of Ashkenazi or Khazar descent, and are not the Israelites of the Bible. So by substituting the biblical definition of nations with the new definition; prophecy teachers completely ignore the fact that the true nation (people, tribe, ethnic group) of Ysrael is not in the land! Shockingly 98% of all prophecy books on the market today consistently 'insert' the incorrect nation (people,

Book excerpt: Prophecy and Revelation God's Plan for the Ages invites people to explore end times biblical prophecy and to open Revelation, the last book of the Bible. These sources reveal God's will for individuals and His whole world. Kendall Brashears distills almost two decades of dedicated study and presents it with the skill of a seasoned educator. His hard work has yielded an approachable guide to ancient and sometimes difficult texts, featuring verse-by-verse explanations of key passages. Through his prophetic research and years of teaching, Brashears will explore the following: What end time events are we seeing today and are we getting close to the end? Will the Rapture of believers precede the Tribulation, and if so, how will it happen? Will we know who the Antichrist is before the Rapture and what will he look like? If there is a seven-year Tribulation on earth, what will it be like and who will go through it? The answers to these questions and many more are discussed thoroughly in this study. If you have wondered what God has planned for His world, if you ask yourself whether distressing events signal the coming end of human history, or if you want to grow in your knowledge of the details contained in the Bible's prophetic and apocalyptic passages, then Prophecy and Revelation God's Plan for the Ages will serve you well as a tool for deepening your understanding. You will emerge from your experience with a breadth of knowledge that provides guidance both for weathering the winds that blow through life and for clinging to the assurance of God's plan for care and comfort in uncertain times.
