Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is an unforgettable journey that is a must read for every believer. As the days grow darker it is essential everyone who desires to live for Jesus, understand the difference between Churchianity and Christianity. This book clears a path through the religious jungle, and clearly identifies the Way of Salvation. This necessarily involves the full extraction of the common religious practice of tithing from Christian doctrine. What is this book about? It is about everything that pertains to Godliness, and everything that frustrates Godliness. It is about growing in Christ and blossoming in faith, as well as dying to pride and rejecting the world. We are shown the difference between the treasures of Grace and the treasures of the world as we learn a new appreciation for our Lord Jesus Christ and all He won on the cross for us. This book is a guide to spiritual maturity where we learn to say along with John the Baptist, He must increase, but I must decrease. (John 3:30 KJV) Something involved in these issues is dealing with questions that have plagued many believers about how Malachi 3:8-11 has been taught to them: Am I really cursed as a robber of God for failing to pay my tithes? Will I really open up new Heavenly windows of blessing by faithfully paying my tithes? The answers to these questions involve all the schools of systematic theology which requires a deep thorough inspection into the contents of the Gospel of Grace, the plan of salvation, and the Priesthood of Christ

Book excerpt: An Intertextual Commentary on Romans is an exhaustive treatment of the hundreds of Old Testament citations, allusions, and echoes embedded in Paul’s most famous epistle. As many scholars have acknowledged, to understand Paul’s engagement with Israel’s Scriptures is to understand Romans. Despite this acknowledgment, there is a dearth of reference works in which the primary focus is how the Old Testament impacts Paul’s argument from Romans 1:1 to 16:27. This four-volume commentary aims to provide just such a reference. The interplay between Romans and its vast sea of Old Testament pre-texts produces unstated points of resonance that illuminate Paul’s rhetorical argument from the letter’s opening to its closing doxology. Volume 3 examines the scriptural pre-texts in Romans 9:1—11:36. This section of the letter is the most intertextually dense section of the New Testament and the most theologically controversial section in the entire Pauline corpus. If interpreters hope to navigate these exegetical and theological challenges, they must carefully analyze the intertextual subtext of these chapters where Paul engages Israel’s Scriptures at every rhetorical turn. This volume provides such an analysis. In this way, it also contributes to the commentary’s overarching aim, which is to provide scholars, interpreters, and students with verse by verse analysis of how Israel’s Scriptures impact almost every clause of Paul’s most famous letter.

Volume 1 examines the Old Testament pre-texts in Romans 1:1–4:25. Although the citations of Habakkuk 2:4 and Genesis 15:6 in this section of the letter often dominate intertextual discussions, several other Old Testament pre-texts, though often overlooked, support the intertextual subtext of the letter and thereby illuminate various features of Paul’s argument. In this commentary, each of these pre-texts is examined from a variety of perspectives. The overarching aim of the commentary is to provide scholars, interpreters, and students with verse by verse analysis of how Israel’s Scriptures impact almost every clause of Paul’s most famous letter.

Book excerpt: “If you picture the Bible to be a mighty tree and every word a little branch, I have shaken every one of these branches because I wanted to know what it was and what it meant.” —MARTIN LUTHER A great deal of biblical scholarship is written for academics and fails to edify readers or strengthen their Christian ministry. Yet, Christians need to be nourished by the word of God so they can mature in faith and righteousness. Filling this gap, The Branch Exposition of the Bible is a resource for preachers, scholars, and everyday Christians alike, to help open God’s word and shed its light into life, ministry and teaching. Inspired by the words of the great reformer Martin Luther about shaking every branch of Scripture, and with experience in ministering across Africa, India and the West, Michael A. Eaton helps us understand the meaning of the Bible and taste its fruit. With an Old Testament volume to follow, this exposition of the New Testament accessibly engages with the biblical languages, gives application for our lives, and leads us through each book of the New Testament so that we can meet the resurrected Jesus Christ in the pages of Scripture.

Book excerpt: This book has been in the making for 50 years; ever since Thomas Moore found a germ within the tithing doctrine that departed from the Living God. Thomas set out in 1973 to expose where this germ corrupts the basic doctrines of the New Testament, but in so doing he found that he needed to acquire a full understanding of all the primary Christian doctrines. This required reading the entire Bible from cover to cover many times in different translations, as well as compiling an extensive theology library. Years were spent reading entire commentaries, word studies, and systematic theology by various scholars, along with sermons and lessons from the greatest preachers of all time. In 2015 the author finished following the tithing germ through every school of theology and discovered the specific truths of Scripture being violated. In 2015 he began writing the book to refute each false teaching that supports the false doctrine of tithing and expose all of its fallacies, heresies and blasphemies, which was published in November of 2019 as Living Waters from Difficult Passages. The book is very thorough. It not only exposes the heresies and blasphemies, but also contains the popular verses of Scripture that pastor’s abuse, in order to support the tithing practice. This made the book almost 500 pages long. Many people are not interested in a book that large, so the author developed this book as a companion book, which is a quick and easy read; just covering the basic blasphemies of the religious tithing teaching. If reading TITHINGISM peaks your interest for more insights and Biblical evidence into the false teachings of the tithing tradition, then Living Waters from Difficult Passages will satisfy completely.
